He did the job quite alright, nothing extraordinary. On another day would've scored after the dummy move. Difficult game with no space to pass into and no runners.

He was excellent, both him and Fellaini deserve a lot of credit for bossing the match with such authority. The Hollywood stuff didn't all work out, but make no mistake we've got a world class player preforming here.

He wasn't anonymous but I expect better from him in the next match; just a little off the bar, which is set quite high if we want to win the league. Much better than his partner though.

Still trying to discover why is this guy 100m worth. On moments today he looked like Bambi on ice.

We didn't give him enough of the ball. We should be supplementing the team around him, i.e some sort of three man midfield, not forcing him into a 4231.

This superstar wants to shine too much. Need to get down dirty and do the hard work and improve.

Lets be honest was rubbish today but awesome that we have other match winners.

I thought he was good. He had a few poor shots, and a few things didn't come off but at least we have a midfielder now who wants to try these things and wants to contribute assists and goals.

That's what you'd expect him to look like in a midfield two against packed midfields.

Didn't really have a lot to do with Hull conceding the midfield. Shots weren't very good, but he is capable of better.

He really did nothing in there today that Carrick couldn't have done. Hull were content to stick 10 men behind the ball so him and Fellaini were always going to control the midfield. Expect him to step it up against City next.

Poor is a bit extreme, as is saying he was good. He did okay, overdid a few things but kept the ball well at times.

Needs to play higher up the pitch.

The centre of the pitch was to crowded for him to really shine, at one point we had Rooney, Miki and Mata all playing in the same area in front of him and with Hull defending with eleven players there where no space in front of him. We need some wide players to stretch the pitch in games like today to create more space for the central players.

His game is hampered by the system much like with France at the Euros. He plays best in a 3 man midfield as the most advanced of the 3. Until we have a midfield like this we won't see his best.

Not great, but not bad either.

Quiet game, not concerned in the slightest.

Think it's a 7 out of 10 performance for me. 6 if I was feeling quite critical (I'm not - we won at the end of the day!). He lacked a bit of cutting edge but hopefully he will get that after a few games under the belt.

Looked a bit desperate at times but once he gets his goal he'll relax and start bossing games.

He's only been a member two months less than you.
If I'd have said "newb" would you have understood? It's got nothing to do with the length of time, it's to do with newbs being able to post in the mains with such regularity. I'm not such a pompous git that I care about when you join, but it's no shock that plenty of shite comments come from members who haven't been promoted.

Did decently well against a team defending with eleven men behind the ball, while playing in a two man midfield and not much movement ahead of him.

Just needs to work on his shooting a bit.

When he dummied to lose his man on the edge of the box at the end there, I thought the Yaya winner was inevitable. Just wide. Unlucky not to produce something more telling today but still he and Fellaini dominated the midfield.

New member with a gem of a comment, yet again. Who'd have thought.
Feels like this new rule about allowing whatever Newbie is proving to be quite a mistake. Some good Newbies with good and intelligent posts but for the most part it's been backfiring spectacularly, especially with comment such as that one.

He was ok actually.....but hey Paul, welcome to the new Premier League...with all it's money, you will never ever get the time on the ball you had in Italy! He'll learn so much from today and you can see even today the skill he has, but it's not the same game here and takes time to understand the relentless rhythm.

Whenever you are the most expensive football player on the earth, millions on cameras are on your every move and expectation are really high from fans and media. I thought he was trying a little bit too much to show them that he is worth the amount of money we have paid for him by shooting from distance multiple times. He did not have the shooting boots on and he could have timed his runs to the box a bit better multiple times in the 2nd half. Overall a decent performance and not the world class one. He would only become better from here onwards.

A bit Stevie Me with shots but good enough, lets not forget its only his second match after no pre-season. Sometimes its worth taking a shot when the box is packed and everyone is marked, I think Hull didn't allow him a lot of space but he was still able to be effective.

Decent performance. His shooting was frustrating. Especially given the ability he's got.

He's a player who needs a little space to work his magic, which he will get in a game where the other team actually tried to fecking attack.

I think he was fine. The spectacular stuff didn't come off... but he did a great job moving the ball around. His job really isn't to score or be spectacular. That's the extra stuff you get with him which makes him the player he is. But some nights, it won't work for him. As long as the fundamentals are covered by Pogba, it's ok.

Evra is much better than Shaw in terms of timing his runs and linking up. There's a bit of lack of chemistry there. Once they get going... or if Shaw is capable... things will open up.

Pogba didn't get a lot of open space in Serie A either and he did great.

I thought he did alright for a miserable wet evening in Hull, only his 2nd game and he's still finding his feet. Got into a shooting position a couple of times which is good.

Pogba had an average game. The most important thing is he kept trying and wasn't afraid to take his shots. What I love about our team this year is we don't need to depend on one specific player to provide us that moment of magic. I was really surprised to see Rooney deliver at the end after such a shit performance for the rest of the game.

Ibra was just as average. Hull made a concerted effort to completely block the center. They dared Martial/Shaw and Mata/Valencia to beat them... and they didn't. Going to face this a lot.

One thing Juve did was, when teams played this tactic against Pogba, they moved him even wider. He became a quasi-winger. I think Mourinho is too rigid though.

Only his second game after the holiday so nothing to worry about if he wasn't a 10 of 10 like last week.
