Nothing to do with his ability as a player then?
If Pogba looked and acted like Tom Cleverly he wouldn't have cost 90m imo. Nor would we have bought his image rights from him.
It makes no sense. Buy him image rights yet limit his scope on social media?

Rio tearing into them for that video.

Got to say I agree with Rio here. Posting stuff like that can be excused once we've won something (in fact it's encouraged), but the day before an important league game where the players are meant to be focused is a bit unprofessional.

Reminds me of that Lingard video during the United team bus getting attacked away at West Ham.

If United lose or drop points tomorrow, they both come out looking like bellends.

I disagree. There's players out there that are not massive on social media and don't have the charisma of Pogba that have cost plenty of money. De Bruyne being one.

Its obvious a big part of why clubs wanted Pogba was his image/personality on top of him being a good player.

Have to agree with Rio there, actually it's reminiscent in some ways of the Spice Boys turning up at Wembley in those white suits, which is what I thought McManaman was about to say before he mentioned Balotelli.

Who cares. If we lose tomorrow, it won't be because they danced...

I'd rather Pogba was more "serious" but feck it. Once he plays well.

De Bruyne didn't cost anywhere near Pogba's fee. Clubs like ours are looking for the marketability of players too and are willing to pay for it. Especially when our main commercial draw is on his way out.

Was with Rio all the way until he started saying Jesse Lingard is a great young talent who will go on and do great things in the game (FFS he is 24) and not a great talent either. Let's be honest he's a decent squad player at best. I'm all for Lingard doing well but I wish he would stop the social media shite.
Pogba on the other hand has done a bit in the game (won leagues got to final of the Euros, most expensive player in the world) so fair enough but still would prefer if he stops all this as he is leaving himself wide open for criticism with all this shite. He is making himself an easy target.

Doesn't negate his point though.

These guys need to drop this shit. It's daft. 6th in the league and they're posting stuff like this. feck off.

Well if this helps them freeing their mind and relaxing no problem at all with that

You can have that image without showing videos fannying about the night before the game.

He's already under so much scrutiny on the pitch, Pogba. An off performance tomorrow and the media would eat this up.

Just a year older than Frank Lampard when he started his 14 year career with Chelsea.

I want to see more videos like that from the lads. The overeaction is just typically British isn't it? Uptight farts

I agree. They should be focused on the game. Sit on the bed, look at the wall in silence and think, think about the game. Just the game, nothing else. Think.

Rio saying this is kinda weird. He was all over Twitter and pimping his #5 brand while at United.

Its a nothing story and a total over reaction to some young lads having a dance.

I agree

Pogba really needs to step it up this year now, he's ranged anywhere between really good and horrendous in the first half of the season, he needs to get some consistency in his game because for me at least he's not living up to these big expectations of him.
Doing stupid dances all the time certainly doesn't help when in his last match he underperformed.

Rio's video diaries. I remember him doing them in pre-season and I'm not sure they were limited to the times we were champions.

Yup. I love Rio, but that's just a lazy criticism.

All about timing. If that had come out after Lingard scored the FA Cup final winner, nothing would be said. You leave yourself open to criticism though when you're currently sitting 6th in the league table.

And Rio did plenty of stuff but backed it up on the pitch by winning and being world class.

Wouldn't mind him being involved in the coaching staff, or some role at the club.

His goal in the last match sent the club to Wembley while all the others were poor.

And overall, he's very good with already 7 goals and 4 assists this season. If Herrera, Carrick and the others were at the Pogba's level, we would be in front of Chelsea right now.

And Pogba will continue to dance and be happy. He always been like that.

Herrera has arguably been the better player this season

Not even arguably, for me. For a first half-season, I've been pretty pleased with Pogba, but Herrera's been consistently excellent.

I agree, I just didn't want to start a crazy argument ha!

He scored a goal and did very little else, if he was a striker of course that would be fine, but he's not he's a midfielder.
Carrick has been much more consistent than Pogba I think, Pogba has done well to score seven and set up four but that part of his game isn't where I take issue with him. It's his overplaying and giving the ball away more often than he should. Sometimes he looks like he's still learning how to play the role he's best at yet we broke the transfer record for him.
I'm just yet to be convinced he's this world class talent, if he can sort his head out and not overplay so much, and get some consistency I'll be more impressed.

Yeah and Sissoko was better than Pogba at the Euro

People who believe this don't understand football.
I'm glad you're here to explain to people who don't understand football as well as you:)

You don't need to start a crazy argument.
Herrera is with Mata the fan sweatheart.

So people aren't afraid to overrated them by telling stupid things like that.

But next season they will be on the bench or sold and we'll no longer hear such nonsense.

There will be top players like Pogba, Saul etc on the pitch and Manchester United will become again a great team.

Herrera is just a decent water carrier ( who was very poor this month )

End of the discussion. I'll not answer anymore otherwise I might get upset by the crazy hype around Herrera since October

what a stupid comment from Rio....what they do off the pitch is irrelevant as long as that is not affecting their game. If they want to dance let them dance, if they want to post that on social media let them post who cares in the end? Who is going to be affected with that video in the end? Slate them if they dont give their all on the pitch, slate them even more if they dont give their all and they are posting this crap but as long as they work hard on the pitch who cares if they play chess after training, read a book or dance like mugs.

Surprised Rio of all people is laying in to the young lads for having a bit of a dance, especially with some of the shite he posts on Social Media, and with the Merked TV show he did, and the pre-season tour diaries. He is the king of recording instances of messing about, and has been for well over a decade.

You just can't win as a young footballer in the eyes of the media and pundits, all of which just love to have something to pretend to be outraged about, and it has become contagious with fans now too. Guys like Anthony Martial, among others, slated for not 'looking happy' and all that noise about how he 'doesn't help himself with his body language' as Shearer and P.Nev prattled on about the other day. Memphis was slated for wearing strange outfits, as if he has to earn that right by winning football matches. Then you've got lads like Jesse and Pogba, who are the opposite way to Martial. Good friends, laughing, joking, dancing, doing their hand shakes and slaps, and that gets ripped in to as well. Whatever a footballer does, it is the wrong thing.

What has an upcoming fixture have to do with it? "They're supposed to be focused". What does that even mean? Are they supposed to just sit in a dark room and think about the upcoming game right up until the game starts? That would drive you insane. Footballers need a life outside of football. I'd highly doubt they are sacking off training to film dance videos. So what does it matter? If Pogba has a stinker tonight, it's not because he did a little dance with his mate.

Pogba and Lingard messing about in the dressing room is going to happen whether a phone is pointed at them or not. The faux-outrage about it is nonsensical.

He was driving his Rolls Royce all over Manchester while he was banned for missing a drug test as well. I think he's just conforming
