Was better in the second half but in some matches the game just seems to drift by him. I still think he can play much better.

Poor for the third game in a row. He has had as many poor/average games that he has had good games.

How many games has he missed this season? We're in 4 competitions and he seems to have featured a lot, if not more than any player and he's playing like it.

Part of a forgettable performance like the rest of the team but his finish on the goal was excellent.

I'm not sure but I think he only missed one cup game when he was on the bench. He has played the most minutes for us this season (2625). He certainly needs more rest when you think of his busy summer at the Euros, as he only had 2 weeks off before starting preseason, the problem is we don't have adequate cover in CM.

Don't agree he was poor. United was dire throughout, but Pogba was responsible for some good situations in a team that created very few.

- scored the goal that decided the tie
- played Lingard through with a world class long ball
- had a few more attempts on decisive passes (to Rashford before HT, for example), which were good but didn't come off
- created a dangerous situation pentrating Hull's box in HT 2 (wrong offside call)
- most importantly: was generally neat and constructive in small situations, had a clean passing game when many teammates struggled to even keep possession (which got better in HT 2)
- committed a few unnecessary turnovers and looked stupid in one or two situations

Overall not a great game, but best United player today for me. People should simply not expect a central midfielder to have a spectacular game in a team that plays badly. Even a quality player will only get isolated good moments, which he did. And stabilize his struggling team's ball circulation in a constructive way, which he did too.

Average performance tonight but well done for getting the score to see us through.

There was such a Pogba moment in the second half. Killed a ball coming miles out of the sky with an outrageous first touch, then got so excited he tackled himself with some sort of pointlessly elaborate trick. He just needs to grow up a bit. Like watching a kid sometimes. Pleased he scored anyway.

The ball seemed to ping pong over his head all the time. Smalling would belt it too far over him. Hed run towards and then the Hull defender would head it back, over him again. It was like he was two or three seconds behind each move.

Still though took his goal well and gave some good passes.

In fairness the whole team in the first half bar Rashford looked like a pub team on sunday after a few jars the night before.

Good goal, but he really needs to stop taking the piss all the time, and do the simple things (like a simple pass) when hes crowded by players.

I believe it has been mentioned quite a bit recently. After half a season, we as fans have started to realise he has all the weapons/tools to be a top player, he just lacks any sort of maturity in his game, which kind of prevents you being the main man in a big team such as France or Man Utd. He has the mind of a youthful 19 year old breaking through. It is a catch 22. I want him to play with freedom and do the things that separate him from other players but then I want him to play like a sensible footballer as well.

Thought he was fine. Nothing special, but not bloody awful as many are suggesting. Having Darmian and Rojo as our FBs as well as Smalling crapping his pants on the ball at CB behind the midfield didn't help anybody today. Carrick seemed off the pace more than Herrera or Pogba imo.

Not a memorable performance, but people keep basing their ratings on a match-by-match basis with him based on his transfer fee, which is totally irrelevant to his performance on the pitch.

I also think having a lack of width with pace didnt help him at all. There was one point where he did a drag back, looked out wide, saw nobody and had to drag it back the other way, where he won a free kick. I do think he likes to ping it out wide into dangerous areas, but can see him hesitate when we have the likes of Darmian etc outside.

The Liverpool game is still on his mind I reckon. His confidence took a hit, so did his ego I think, he hasn't tweeted since the Liverpool game.

Important goal, and I hope he has the weekend off now.

This is worse than L'pool game since he couldn't get into game, bar the goal, against Hull.

Definitely not worth the goal if he keeps playing like this. He can contribute and help us more than playing like this and get goal.

He's tweeted about 3 times since.

I watched his goal hiding in a cupboard while playing hide and seek with my son and niece. By far the oddest place Ive ever watched a United goal. (Also gave away my hiding place by celebrating :lol:)

Another eccentric performance from the Prince of Plenty.

But he did grab a crucial goal - and if he can get into double figures this season, it's sufficient.

For now.

The one thing that annoys me about Pogba is his stupid arrogant "nodding" celebration. Nodding like he has scored a worldy and shown everyone how good he is. No you have scored a bog standard goal and have been playing like crap.

Do the arrogant celebrations when you are actually playing well and demonstrating how good you are not when you are playing poorly.

I know where you're coming from but maybe he's the type of guy that just needs to get into that zone of "I'm the best there is" to start playing better. It may look a bit cringe right now but if it is something that gets him in the grove who cares?

He needs a rest IMO. Along with Zlatan and Ander.
I don't think a rest is what this, still young midfielder & potential long-term superstar needs at this point. Give him credit, he scored the goal we needed & was close on another. He played conservatively, I think "under orders" but otherwise was in control.
And no, not his best performance and included one ill-advised attempt at flash but overall I think he was steady. A couple of wins over the next games will rebuild confidence better than a lay-off methinks.

Warren Joyce has apparently advised Pogba to stop having ugly hairstyles to help him play better. His hairstyle is indeed ugly. Pogba should learn from Blind how to have beautiful hair.

OTT reactions. In a game where everyone was completely shite, he was probably the best player for us.

I can only Assume Jose told them not to kill themselves on the pitch and hit them on the counter (2nd gear playing). He's Chelsea often did it in cup games regardless of him playing his best 11.

I don't understand the problem with Pogba's hairstyles. He won many titles and played at his best by having eccentric haircuts

Rather than talking about stupid things like that, let's try to surround him better because with Juventus he was great ( despite the stats that we see on Tweeter )

Simply not true. In fact Joyce was simply talking about the heights that Pogba could achieve as a footballer, as long as he remained focussed on the right things. He jokingly referred to haircuts and outside gimmicks.

He never used the words "ugly haircut" once and he. certainly didn't link his haircuts to his ability to play football. I mean why would he? Any rationally minded person knows this simple fact. Do you really believe that hairstyles actually affect the skill levels of footballers?

There may be some things that Blind could pass on football wise but I'm afraid learning how to have beautiful hair isn't one of them. I can say with 100% certainty that Paul isn't gonna turn white overnight and grow a 3 foot forehead!

Zlatan and the wingers couldn't get into the game much either, I guess that's what happens when you play the kind of back 4 we did against Hull.
Not disagree. However, even with that I kinda expect more from Pogba individually. He and his midfield partners seem to take a hiding for majority of this game.
