Exactly what we needed in midfield - makes such a difference in transitioning defence into attack and oozes confidence.
Most distance covered, most passes, most 'key passes' and most interceptions than anyone on the pitch. And he's probably only about 80% fit. Immense.
He looks tailor made for the Premier League. That physique, that power, those long strides, his calmness when pressed and his ability to retain the ball in those situations. He is monstrous.
His passing and vision is top class indeed. Just a bit inconsistent with it, but what it ensures is that as he gets older, he can easily mould himself into a different type of player.Agreed. There's so much to like about his game but not much was made of his playmaking ability. Some people said he doesn't really dictate play, but so much of our game went through him and he starts a lot of attacks from deep. Like in the start of Money May's highlight clip, he takes a touch, just flies past the opponent and pings a through ball and suddenly we're in attack mode. It's just a little play that looks rather easy, but not many players can create space and open up the opposition like that. He's just class all over the pitch, what a fecking signing.
On a tangent; was Hughes the last player we brought back?
I can't think of anyone else. Unless I'm allowed to count Scholes on a free transfer <_<.

That would be brutal. I don't think most premier league midfields are up to scratch to contain him already.I thought he was very erratic, certainly more good stuff then bad though (by some way too) ... but yeah, he's clearly a very talented footballer. Once he gets into the groove he'll be unstoppable.
Well @GlastonSpur , any thoughts on his debut?
BBC:
"Paul Pogba's first game for United since his return for an £89m world-record fee sees him make more touches (103), play more passes (71) and win more duels (20) than any United player."
True, however you have to admit that the trends are looking extremely goodI didn't see the game. If he played well then of course that's pleasing for United fans. However, at home to S'hampton is not amongst the most difficult of games. And let's see how he gets on over the course of the season.
Lets be honest you didn't see him at Juve much either did you and based your wildly inaccurate 'predictions' about his playstyle on his Euro performances.I didn't see the game. Couldn't be more suited to the Premier Leauge.
@GlastonSpur To say you are clueless would be all too generous.
Those posts are tragic. The part where he states that he 'fears' that we've bought a dud is pathetic. As if he hopes for anything else...
Our previous results vs Southampton at home areI didn't see the game. If he played well then of course that's pleasing for United fans. However, at home to S'hampton is not amongst the most difficult of games. And let's see how he gets on over the course of the season.
every year for a decade10 Pogbas and a De Gea would win the league.
Not as good as Alli though.
Good thing we paid £89m thenI voted against paying £100m for him.
I am not a wise man.
9 Pogbas, 1 Ibra and a De Gea would win the league.10 Pogbas and a De Gea would win the league.

There is no one better at transitioning from defence to attack. He has an unreal ability on the ball.
