The caption doesn't copy for some reason but he wrote under this:

Glad to have Tommy as first home game mascot representing Juventus fans who always supported me.

Started nervously but wow he grew into the game so fast. His confidence to run with the ball is something incredible I love it when I see players running with it and taking people out of the game and Pogba makes it look effortless.

Can see him being a roaring success here, already 89m dosent look so bad!

Exactly what we needed in midfield - makes such a difference in transitioning defence into attack and oozes confidence.

That turn midway through the second half that took out three So'ton players and led to the opportunity for Martial though....

Agreed. There's so much to like about his game but not much was made of his playmaking ability. Some people said he doesn't really dictate play, but so much of our game went through him and he starts a lot of attacks from deep. Like in the start of Money May's highlight clip, he takes a touch, just flies past the opponent and pings a through ball and suddenly we're in attack mode. It's just a little play that looks rather easy, but not many players can create space and open up the opposition like that. He's just class all over the pitch, what a fecking signing.

He is incredible. He is probably our best dribbler. I knew it, I knew he would just skip past your average prem midfielder week in week out. Mourinho is so right when he says it's better buying 4 very good players instead of many good players. The 4 we have bought have made a massive difference to our club from last year. Exciting times ahead.

Most distance covered, most passes, most 'key passes' and most interceptions than anyone on the pitch. And he's probably only about 80% fit. Immense.

He looks tailor made for the Premier League. That physique, that power, those long strides, his calmness when pressed and his ability to retain the ball in those situations. He is monstrous.

He kinda reminds me of Toure in his pomp, although with a much better work ethic

His passing and vision is top class indeed. Just a bit inconsistent with it, but what it ensures is that as he gets older, he can easily mould himself into a different type of player.

I thought he was very erratic, certainly more good stuff then bad though (by some way too) ... but yeah, he's clearly a very talented footballer. Once he gets into the groove he'll be unstoppable.

You could see the way the rest of the team started looking for him whenever we regained the ball, he just had that drive and confidence on the ball. Whenever Southampton tried to press him he just dribbled past, if they stood off he passed the ball forward into space, if they packed the side of the pitch he was on he switched the play. Just always seemed to have the answer during the transition.

Main thing he can improve on from this game is his play in the final third. I think that will come with time, though.

That would be brutal. I don't think most premier league midfields are up to scratch to contain him already.

Well @GlastonSpur , any thoughts on his debut?

BBC:
"Paul Pogba's first game for United since his return for an £89m world-record fee sees him make more touches (103), play more passes (71) and win more duels (20) than any United player."

I didn't see the game. If he played well then of course that's pleasing for United fans. However, at home to S'hampton is not amongst the most difficult of games. And let's see how he gets on over the course of the season.

True, however you have to admit that the trends are looking extremely good:drool::wenger:

Lets be honest you didn't see him at Juve much either did you and based your wildly inaccurate 'predictions' about his playstyle on his Euro performances.

Couldn't be more suited to the Premier Leauge.

Spot on.

Teams will struggle with him. His ability to find space is superb. He's physical and tracks back and his ability to pick a pass and move with the ball was good last night but will surely improve with more games as he gets sharper.

He looks like he could be the complete midfielder.

@GlastonSpur  To say you are clueless would be all too generous.

Those posts are tragic. The part where he states that he 'fears' that we've bought a dud is pathetic. As if he hopes for anything else...

Lol. I remember so many United players who were hailed to rafters in their early days at the club, only to be eventually discarded. You might want to wait for more than one game before jumping into the same pitfall.

Our previous results vs Southampton at home are

Draw
Loss
Loss

And they only finished one place below us. The strange thing about yesterday is that he played completely opposite to the way you described him as. Lots of energy, winning tackles, forward passing etc

Everything that he's said so far and the constant smile on his face shows that he genuinely loves the club and is delighted to be back. These are good times.

The love child of Patrick Viera, Usane Bolt and Zinedane Zidan.

He makes everyone else look a bit shit though. And feck me, that first touch of the game, hahaha. Glad he shook that out.

He started nervously but as the game went on it wasn't difficult to see why Mourinho went out for him.

A great start.

He's genuinely world class and we haven't had that sort of quality in our midfield since Scholes retired.

Look at the quality in our squad now; Pogba, Martial, Shaw, Ibra, De Gea, Rashford, Mkhitaryan..... it's ridiculous. We finally have a squad worth getting excited about again.

No better sight than watching opponents in midfield trying to bully him off the ball physically, and he just nonchalantly pushes them off with ease and storms through their midfield with a dribbling.

There is no one better at transitioning from defence to attack. He has an unreal ability on the ball.

I think this describes him best.
I've not seen anybody better in our team who transitions from defence to attack.
Box to box midfielder.
Jose said he was the best midfielder in the World. Yesterday was a good start to proving Jose correct.
