Very hard to make any judgement on him from this game, Lecce are not a good team and he has clearly been instructed to stay back most of the time.
I'd love to know where people expect a fullback to be on that second (ruled off) goal. It was between the CB and fullback and much closer to the CB, if he'd have been there to cover it he'd have been taking up a very odd position.

They started the 2nd half well but Inter making it 3-0 with their 1st attack killed it.
First time I've seen him play, not impressed at all. Lecce are terrible but he doesn't look anything special at all.
Maybe our scouts are looking at some attributes that haven't been shown in this particular game, but based on this I don't think he's even starting quality for us. Weak defensively and haven't offer much in attack, I see why Chelsea and Spurs didn't went back for him after Lecce gave their valuation.
Again just one game and it's against inter but it's a hard pass for me, we need way better and £40M for a wingback should get you a solid player or at least a huge potential one, I think he's neither.
