Paris terror attacks on Friday 13th

If they are being shot one by one surely they would storm the arena

Not that I have a clue or anything, but I'd guess they would

They'd still have to take certain precautions though, wouldn't they? Grim as it sounds they're better taking the time to get things right now rather than rushing in and walking into Christ knows what, especially if the terrorists have explosives. Time like this they have to be very cold and rational.

I don't understand your original point then?

My original point was...killing 5k/10K won't change anything. There will be another 5K ready to go.

The west needs to go after the Saudis, the Qataris. These are the countries that have encouraged and funded groups like ISIS - they remain secure in their borders and the whole world burns.

I'm saying simply taking out the foot soldiers doesn't work. That's what we've been trying to do for how many years now? Isn't it time, we decided to do something with the big fish?

How many shi'a groups (aligned with Iran) have attacked the west (Israel is sadly a different issue)???

Yet it's Iran this..Iran that. Why not mention the elephant in the room - Saudi fecking Arabia?

EDIT: incorrectly included the UAE in the list of countries sympathizing with ISIS and the like.

200 soldiers brought into Paris. State of emergency will be declared tonight for the whole of France and boarders to be closed

Yeah, of course. But we have people saying we should stop all refugees from entering Europe who seem to express no concern at atrocities taking place outside of Europe
I was one of those and that is a bit drastic maybe, but unfortunately that is how some will be getting in, under the refugee unbrella. Using the innocents again. Although most will be homegrown to the country they attack. France has now closed it's borders.

Saw this news on Twitter. fecking hell.

At this point speculation is rife yet useless and frustrating until verified reports come through. The possibilities in light of recent global conflicts and geopolitics are frightening. Especially since France is the most recent target.

With the likelihood that at least some of the terrorists involved are French residents (if not nationals), governments have to reconsider their domestic policies. Community relations, migrant integration, funding/support for the security services e.t.c. An expansion to the campaign in Syria won't stop those who are already living among us in secret.

If not the French the Swedes will be the first to drastically change policy as they are already under attack through means quite different from the events of tonight and once the Swedes do change policy as they will have to then the rest of Europe will follow.

all french borders to be closed

state of emergency for the whole of france

Martin Kelly who plays for Palace posted on Instagram from one of the targeted restaurants just hours ago.

This time the US will not be going in alone.
The US haven't gone alone into anything. France though have they're not just running cordinated bombing attacks in Syria but also they are very active in Africa.

We can't blame any of this on immigrants, at this moment there is no link.

Apparently a guy on twitter is saying he's on the first floor in the Bataclan and has said they're shooting people one after one.

Someone I know was at the gig and has been shot, but is now apparently being treated in hospital. His mate has a broken shoulder after being trampled on in the panic. Seems they managed to escape, thankfully.

Special forces going in at the Bataclan I read at a brazilian source I trust (understand its weird, but these guys are usually right about anything they say)

You're right, but that doesn't mean that isis should be left to grow, deal with them first and then the rest.

Glad to know they're ok Steev. They must be traumatised.
