I do think an eye for an eye will leave everyone blind. We've seen it countless times before. Western military intervention in far flung countries just breeds the next generation of anti-Western hatred.

Not to mention the fact that hunting down these evil feckers is easier said than done when they are effectively fighting a guerilla war and can disappear back into the population.

With the likelihood that at least some of the terrorists involved are French residents (if not nationals), governments have to reconsider their domestic policies. Community relations, migrant integration, funding/support for the security services e.t.c. An expansion to the campaign in Syria won't stop those who are already living among us in secret.

I was talking with a friend who is Slovenian soldier and was on the border in last weeks and he told me how suprisingly it is that a 3-4 19-21 years old people dictate all other people and similar stories which indicates there are quite a lot terrorists using this situation. I would say much more than 1 in 100 000.

It's true that terrorism won't just end, but it can be massively weakened.

ISIS now have a country, they have oil which means they have money, it's far from hiding in caves, the shit happening in paris tonight has been happening in the middle east for a while now, the plane in Egypt, the attack in Lebanon and the different kind of horrors people in Syria and Iraq are witnessing everyday.

This monster shouldn't be allowed to grow, it's naive to think that by tightening immigration policies europe will be safer, would anyone be safe if ISIS had a nuke? given enough time i'm sure that'll be the plan for them.

No I believe in the eye for eye. I'm fine with that. But this isn't one group of people and one 'army'. You know you can wipe out the LTTE (like they did in Sri Lanka). But this isn't about one group or one country.

Spot on. France's relationship with its minority populations is pretty atrocious. Closing borders and campaigning in Syria is not a complete solution.

Problem is how do you weed them out? They have infiltrated everywhere. Unfortunately the majority of them are in Syria.
