If it's an actual attempt at killing people, which currently I find doubtful (thankfully), then it's an incredibly intricate attempt. How do they know there are gas pipes there? Really strange.
Could it be that they apprehended the suspect at the same time? and they want the pro to handle it? Military on an empty stadium is abit weird. What's the SOP on calling military on this case?

I think the only way it will affect the final is that the fans will probably have to turn up earlier as it may take longer to enter the stadium with checks and searches etc.
