started have we!!
Right on, poor results and the apparent undeserved protection the manager is getting from the club will only breed a vicious bout of toxicity. Some players will want out and others will lose their heads - from rampant criticism brought about by being overplayed whilst out of form - such that we will find ourselves needing about five starters at the end of the season.Course they will. New manager has a few half decent results and all of a sudden the entire fanbase will forget all the board's failings, it took until losing 5-0 at OT to get the home crowd mostly in the Ole out camp. The board might say they expected a title challenge but if that were the case he would've been gone ages ago. Regardless, this team is going to fall apart in summer, a rebuild is inevitable whether they like it or not. It's completely their own doing, no more than we deserve,
I have huge respect for SAF as the icon and legend he is, but I’m starting to come round to this way of thinking now. How much influence is he having at board level… They should be able to see it’s not quite working out and it’s time for new ideas and models. Just a classic case of a company not moving with the times and being outpaced by competitors. Wonder if there’s any ‘canaries in the coal mine’ in the club who are raising concerns that club could eventually go Woolworths. I guess the brands so strong and iconic, in large part due to SAF ironically, that it won’t matter for a while, Eventually it will though, we’ll have Newcastle pushing us out of the top 4 before too long. They've done that but in the form of Nepotism FC. They ask an old and sentimental Fergie, even older Sir Bobby and the likes of Robbo, Neville etc. It's no wonder we have a very insular and traditional set up which has turned into jobs for the boys.
What's wrong with what he's done at Leicester? With their squad and resources they have no business competing for top 4 yet he's kept them consistently close enough there, and delivered them an FA cup beating Tuchel's Chelsea.
The amount of disrespect Rodgers receives is baffling, he's 10x the coach Ole is and will likely do very well with our squad and resources and get us playing attractive football to boot. We're not getting Zidane or Ten Hag.
‘no one’s at the wheel’ / ‘wheel of fortune’What do we think will make the crowd properly turn ie Tottenham fans vs us level of turn. That could be our only hope, more luck has come his way with our next few fixtures being away, continuing to remove the heat off him.
Did Liverpool fans turn on King Kenny and Chelsea fans on Lampard? Or did they not get the chance due to a competent club actually removing them in a timely manner?
It sickens me that this could be allowed to continue for the whole season. If it was someone with Klopp or Peps record and we were massively injury hit, maybe it would be fair giving them time. What the feck has Ole done or shown to warrant giving him this complete and utter blind faith. I feel at this point absolutely nothing gets him out.
It's criminal he's being allowed to ruin this squad and risk a mass exodus in the summer, leaving us even further back than where we started.
I'd love for amazon to make one of those documentaries behind the scenes with us and properly expose the shear level of failings. Wonder what it would be called...
The problem is that the Glazers have entrusted Woodward with all strategic and operational authority, I think they just give him broad parameters in which he operates and only come in for the big decisions but even then Woodward will have their ear. Problem with Woodward is the nepotism and the way he pushes ego above everything else.I get the board are a bit incompetent with footballing matters. What I don’t get is why they then don’t spend a bit of money employing some people who do. Maybe they do do this and they’re just not good at their jobs. But they obviously have some cash to splash around. I’m sure there are some pro level analysts at there who would jump at the kind of salary and prestige of being offered such a role by a club like Utd. The board is mostly finance or business guys, I’m sure they wouldn’t employ business analysts that had no idea what they were doing or at the least incompetent. They wouldn’t be hired in the first place, and they’d get sacked within months. Why do they take this approach with football and not learn. It’s stupefying, There’s about a dozen clubs in the premier league alone that conduct football matters much more professionally on a fraction of the budget. Why the feck do they not learn? .
It’s arrogant of him to ‘dabble’ in football the way he is.it’s like a side project. Sadly that seems exactly what it is.The problem is that the Glazers have entrusted Woodward with all strategic and operational authority, I think they just give him broad parameters in which he operates and only come in for the big decisions but even then Woodward will have their ear. Woodward is too invested in the Ole project and this dilly dallying delaying the inevitable is him buying Ole some time to turn it around.
At a time when the premier league was less competitive? He's won no trophies, didn't play attractive football, and didn't come close to winning the league with a big club (United) like Rodgers did with Liverpool. They're nothing alike.David Moyes had Everton near the top 4 consistently with his resources, hell he's doing it again with West Ham, why not hire him
No, read the article. Just a throwaway line.So it pretty much confirms they'd rather die on the hill of supporting Ole than look "bad" (I think they'd look good for admitting they made a mistake) and fire someone after giving him a new contract.
Rodgers over Ten Hag and Enrique. It's a joke.To wait for Rodgers until the summer would really be the icing on the cake.
Ole or Nothing.I'd love for amazon to make one of those documentaries behind the scenes with us and properly expose the shear level of failings. Wonder what it would be called...

I think he damaged him by leaving him on the bench ,, he has to play more #oleoutI imagine it’ll be like The Office with Solskjaer being David Brent… speaking about buzzwords and buzzphrases about United DNA for 8 1 hour episodes or however long they are... as all the players look at the camera in dismay like Tim, when training takes place.
As we see everyone get interviewed across the series, except Donny van de Beek who just appears in the background and then finally gets his interview piece Kodi nox as the credits roll on the final episode… and the programme probably just terminates whilst mid-sentence.
Just a bump in the road. Big one but we'll be fine.Finished club.

Have we announced a new manager? Why are all the managerial choice threads locked?

I would have said, something truly crazy would have to happen. For instance an unthinkable, nightmare type of result like losing 5-0 at home to Liverpool or something.

Agree. It would be incredible! Just to put it out there, I would like to see Zidane at Utd, as I think our squad would suit him well. IF Ole failed to turn our season around. That said, if you’d watched Zidanes run I secunda B, you would be more sceptical. Having the by far most talented squad in the league, he horribly failed. Twice. He didn’t half ass get his squad right. As for his run at Real Madrid, it was a bit hit and miss, wasn’t it? If we like to look at flexible tactics and individual brilliance, which is popular on here.I don’t think Zidane is the safest choice but I think he’s the most exciting. If it worked, it would be incredible
On the plus side, at least our net debt reduced by £900,000 in the last 12 months
