Ole Gunnar Solskjær | Beşiktaş J.K.

I'm glad he's finally taken on a new challenge. Hope he does well and it'll be fun when he faces Mou.

Post Fergie, it was under Ole where I enjoyed watching us the most.

Crazy really.

Ole getting a new manager bounce big win was every predictable
Besiktas fans are about to go on a wild ride for the next 10 games.

Might go a bit weird after that though…..

Sack Watch Already.

Are you fecking kidding me. Isn't this supposed to be a forum of United fans. GTFOH.

Guys a club legend and the stick he gets really pisses me off.

Some have taken to hating him pretty badly after his spell here. Don’t really get it, thought despite coming short of being successful he always gave his best, was dignified and produced some of the best performances in the post Fergie era.

Exactly.

He's also the scorer of the most important goal in this clubs history. I'll never forget that amazing night.

Is this your first manager thread on cafe? Every manager thread is a sack watch. Calm it.

Yep and that's ok as who gives a feck about most of the other managers. Ole deserves a bit of respect around here. Man tried his heart out for this club.

Strange to see the amount of hate directed towards a club legend and the scorer of one of the most important goals in club history. Not to mention that he finished 2nd and 3rd with managing us in the Klopp/Pep era. This forum really is in the pits eh. Not even referring to the thread title.

Nice to see him getting a good win on his first game! He is much better than what most people especially this forum's posters think and I would love it if he could get Besiktas back to challenging the league.

Is the hate in the room with us right now?

I love OGS. Was gutted it didn’t work out here. Was doing great until Ronaldo came back. I hope he does great things over there.
I wouldn’t call it great but he was doing equal or better than those who came in before him or after him. The only regret he would have is the cup semi-final / final defeats, especially the Europa league final one.
While his football was quite simple, it was also one of the most entertaining to watch in the post Fergie period.

You are one of those who just can't separate Solskjaer player and Solskjaer manager.
Solskjaer player is United legend. Solskjaer manager was absolute disaster. Tried his heart our for this club? Give me a break with that shit. Guy refused to resign just to get his millions. By far our worst manager in post Fergie era and you lose your shit about him.

Yeah I don’t really like it either. Makes sense for frank lampard, or another rivals new boss. But this is one of our own.

What channel is Turkish super liga on? Might start following Besiktas.

I will always love the guy, pity it didn't work out with us although I enjoyed United the most under his tenure.

I hope he performs well with Besiktas (but you just know it's lose-lose for him in the eyes of haters, if he does well it is because he has found his level and if he fails, it's more evidence that he is a crap manager). He might not be the best manager in the world but I do hope he can show that he is a decent manager nonetheless.

He is the only manager past Fergie who made us play good football. People still ridicule him - but he still better (if not all) than most of the big names before or after him. And he signed Bruno and Amad

I'd recommend downloading an app called "Live Football TV: Live Scores". I use it myself to see what channel certain matches are being broadcasted at in different countries.

I wish him nothing but the best. Naivete is what did him in more than anything else. If he was a bit more ruthless and in control, I would not have minded keeping him on but it was clear he had no control of that dressing room which is why he could not drop clearly underperforming players.

Yeah we didn't win trophies but his stint remains by far the most enjoyable United watch in the post-Fergie era and i'll always be greatful for that until we get a better team.

Post Fergie, it was under Ole where I enjoyed watching us the most.

That's because he's still the only manager who had us playing good attacking football for longer stretches of time and not just the occasional game. And while I don't have the numbers I'm willing to bet that he had the best comeback rate out of all post Fergie managers. You could of course argue that having to make a comeback in the first place is a sign of low quality, but you can't deny that it gets your heart racing and creates a high that most games don't.

The goals that Besiktas scored today had Ole written all over them. So quick and direct.

Certain M. Rashi(ca) scoring a brace for Ole's team. Could be great 2nd part of season for them if he makes similar kind of impact like he did at United.

I think it's more a running joke than Ole specific isn't it? Have definitely seen other managers join and immediately get a sack watch.

Preach.

Totally undeserved in most cases too.

I would question anyone on this forum who doesn’t wish him success at his new club.

Feel like some were on sack watch before they even joined (Allardyce maybe?)
I'm fairly certain Tuchel, I think it was him, or Conte maybe never even got a normal thread - they simply go from sack watch to sack watch. Which, technically, applies to all managers.
