I think it's time for "Let's laugh at our own" thread on the caf, some of the responses here are way worst than anything RAWK ever provided. I haven't seen a single coherent argument from the Ole In crowd, just recycled excuses and twisted facts to fit the narrative, selective perception and conformation bias at it's finest.
Show some respect for a club legend or your posts will end up there as well.

Look at the players he had available against city. The coach is clearly not the issue here.

Keep Ole.

Sell useless players, Lingard, Jones, Andreas.

Buy players with a little bit of character. Strong centre forward. Midfield-commander.

Bring back Smalling next to Maguire so we get an aggressive backline capable of putting pressure on the opponents. Lindelöf is a luxery defender, way to passive and mindful of his after-game ratings for a team in shambles like ours.

Sell De Gea as a thank you for his service here. He deserves playing his final years in a proper club.

If all this happens. Who’s going to coach these good players?

The Ole bashing is wearing very thin - it's like people have to repeat the same old line every 20 seconds or they explode.

Ole is tying his best with a squad littered with 4 other managers players, working under an inept board and constant criticism from his own fans.

He's trying to overhaul an aged, tired, under performing squad under the worst CEO for transfer dealing in modern history, while trying to remain positive and integrate youth players.

He has an impossible job

What is it with this pathetic excuse time and time again, whenever a new manager goes to any team in the world they are going to be dealing with multiple players usually bought from multiple different managers. Brendan Rogers, Antonio Conte, Marco Rose, Julian Nagelsmann this season alone, it means absolutely nothing. Why is it only a problem for us?

Trying his best, I mean it literally just sums up how unbelievably tame the entire fanbase has become in lieu of the dampening of expectations, this kind of opinion deserves the bang average team we've become.

Darren Fletcher's opinion. I'm all the experts on here will say he's clueless.

His opinion holds no more value than anyone else's. All this long term plan shite is gonna come crumbling down because no matter who he signs, he can't coach for shite. The players he has brought in have looked worse or stagnated since being utilised under him.

Shall we scale the difference? Whats the difference between the Champions vs 6th in the league. Against 5th in the premier league against 3rd in the championship? Based on previous ending positions as you have stated.

Its apples and oranges. Cant compare the two games. Sometimes smaller teams show up against bigger teams. United dont have the players capable to compete against city.

What United player would make it in to that City team? Maybe Wan Bissaka and Maguire? Who signed them?

Keep calm and back the manager. It was always going to be a long season with this team, no manager would be able to do better with this lot.

What would highly respected, experienced football man Darren Fletcher know about Manchester United and football that Womp from the internet doesn't.

The grandiosity of the internet football fan knows no bounds.

Well it holds more value than most of the posters on here, considering he was a high level athlete inside the Manchester United changing room and we werent.

Scott McTomminay has improved, Fred has improved, Rashford is having the best goal scoring season of his life, Brandon Williams has came in and looked brilliant. How do you know his coaching is 'shite'?

Literally every manager is an experienced football man. By this logic no manager would ever fail. Liverpool’s boot-room philosophy would still be going, with Souness stopping Fergie before he’d even started and Kevin Keegan/Alan Shearer would still be manager of Newcastle. Etc etc etc.

Even if Ole is the right man, it’s still an absolutely baffling way of looking at things. Let’s never modernise, never adapt, let’s just keep hiring a succession of former players & their mates, regardless of ability, and nothing can ever possibli go wrong! Would you like to buy some magic beans?

Maybe we should just hire Cristiano Ronaldo to manage us then as he’s a better player than Ole. In fact might be abit difficult, let’s just get Mark Hughes. Upgrade the athlete. The rubbish some of you posters say.

The arguments for "Ole in" are honestly getting worse as the season goes on I see. So desperate for me.

He might be building foundations that are only seen far after he is gone. LVG did it and now Ole is doing it.
His coaching builds the platform for future football development of each players. Although it is so complex that it takes years for the players to fully grasp it and use all that knowledge in the games. He is also teaching our staff around him things that will build the groundwork for the future.
Cardiff will soon get back into the PL based on those foundations. We will stop Pool winning the league and Molde will win the europe league soon too. Just keep the faith in Ole even if the progress takes long time.

My god. This is what your argument has been reduced to? 'Respected football man' says something so we should all bow in deference? Do you know how many 'respected football men' are out there that haven't got a f*cking clue? Because there's a long list. Just listen to some pundits. Playing football doesn't make you knowledgeable. Merson. Sutton. Gascoigne. Savage. Christ, it never ends.

Also, I can't believe you used 'football man' unironically.

I think Ole is incredibly unlucky with injuries this season. Not having Pogba has seriously impacted our season as it was quite baffling that we didn't go a Midfielder or two. And that's where I think Ole biggest problem lies. Squad management and identifying weakness is the biggest part of any Manager. Ole seriously miscalculated that one and one bad injury to Scott made our situation desperate.

With Pogba and Scott back, I actually think we will see some of the progress that he keeps talking about. What is impressive is our strike force has been quite good despite having next to no support from midfield. With a decent midfield, we will be far better than what we are showing at the moment.

The French Federation should not have sacked Domenech after the fiascos at Euros 2008 and WC 2010.

Fergie got six years, so should everybody else :wenger:

Domenech has never been sacked. His contract was supposed to end after the 2010 WC and his successor was announced before the WC.:p

Fletch is a smart guy. Plenty of former pros aren't. I value his opinion more than 90% of cafe posters. I think that's fair based on the standard of posting on here. The guy literally said his opinion holds no more value than anyone else's.
As if knowledge, intelligence and experience count for nothing.

No idea what you're even trying to say with your second paragraph.

Jesus fecking Christ. Fletcher isn't Merson or Gazza. He's an intelligent guy who knows the club.

Did you see the comment I responded to? Fletchers opinion apparently holds no more value than anyone else's. Despite his clearly having a wealth of knowledge, intelligence and experience.

I don't like pointing to authority as an argument. But surely people can accept that Fletcher likely knows a bit more about what's going on in the club than fecking womp from the internet.

His argument alone makes sense regardless of where it came from.

So?

SAF knew the club and everyone in Manchester trusted him when he chose Moyes as his successor and it started this downward spiral. Knowing the club means feck all.

Scholes, Giggs, Neville etc will tell you the same. Surprise surprise.

Believe, believe, believe. He is basically telling us to wait another 5 years and take the pain for long term gain. That isnt how it works, as if there is a guarantee for that. On that basis, every manager does it the right way, only Ole gets backed by his United boys and the others dont have a lobby. The Ole buddies should shut up, the truth is on the pitch. The Ole cult needs to stop, absolute nonsense.

Darren Fletcher's opinion. I'm all the experts on here will say he's clueless.

 What the feck do you expect him to say when his mate is in the job? When someone is failing miserably at the job of course you will come up with BS like "I know what I am doing" or "I am building for the future"

Fletch sticking up for his mate shocker. He just rolled out the usual cliches when ex-player goes to manage his ex-club. It’ll be rinse and repeat for Arteta and Lampard... seriously just replace OGS with their names in that Talksport tweet and it’s the stereotypical safe fencing sitting pundit opinion on that subject.

What do you guys want to talk about on a forum that discusses almost all things Manchester United?

Not the manager for a change? Is there really nothing else to talk about other than the manager and how shit they are doing?

There 12 threads on Ole and how shit he is. Maybe another 12 on Jose and how shit he is. Then another 12 on LvG and how shit he is. And then possibly 120 threads on Moyes and how shit he is.

Jesus. Fergie is numero uno when it comes to experience and being highly respected and that didn't stop him from giving us Moyes. Not a slight on the big man by any means, but it just goes to show that having experience is one thing and a shite opinion another.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Fletcher is talking out of his arse and I bet you he wouldn't say the same thing if it'd been Van Gaal or Mourinho.

The only ex player of ours who criticized OGS was RVP.

And he didn't play with him.

Don't ignore the obvious.

No one who played with OGS is going to criticize him.

It's not an impossible job he's just not good enough to carry out the necessary surgery to move us forward.
