nowhere near Poch

Hmm..Actually, just 3 points! and actually if you check the table since Ole took over , He is far better.

I know spurs getting the result is a massive achievement by pochettinho and fair play to them.

But using that as a stick to beat ole who has been at the job for less than half a season and losing to Barcelona is ridiculous.

Maybe we should look at what both managers have done over a long period of time.. then we’ll see that Ole has indeed done as good a job as Poch has done and why he deserves to be manager of this football club.

Oh wait, nope.. he still doesn’t compare. My bad.

We can gather as many managers as we can to manager our crop, they'll still look shite, because they're shite.

I'll take Son over our entire attack.

Yep, I laugh at people wanking over a few fancy dribbles by Martial when I see the likes of Son and Sterling who seem to have inexhaustible energy and skills.

We need almost a new XI in the summer, I didn't even see tonight's games because I was so upset by the shit we served up against Barca. Not the loss, but the manner of it. These players are getting on my nerves.

People wanking over Poch now can do one. We won 1-3 at PSG with a midfield of Fred, McTominay and Pereira, with Chong and Greenwood on the field. Now Spurs lost 4-3 at City and people would rather have the latter. You fickle little bastards.

Imagine having a manager who has done pretty much everything right since he got here. A legend of the club. A man who has had no transfer window and delivered us our best moment in the last five years.

Imagine having all of that and crying because a man who Ole has gained roughly 15 points on in 15 games has had a good result.

Poch is a fantastic manager. But feck OFF crying your eyes out about him. Absolutely pathetic who do you even support.

Beauty of a reply

Anyone arguing that Ole is even an AVERAGE premier league manager let alone a good one, based on 12 games is ridiculous.
What makes it worse is that he has a record in the ELP, a record of getting regulated.

He got regulated?

Anyway maybe it's the best to sack him now?

Primarily @Mister_Stubbs tbh. I just don't get some people on here. Ole has done very well since coming here but it's never gonna be enough is it? Some people seem to prefer doom and gloom.

I never wanted him in the first place so hardy turning on him. It was more the players than Ole during the good fun. The fact that Jose had left, the gloom had lifted. Now the sack of shits have got back in to their comfort zones and we are seeing that reflect in recent performances where both played and manager have looked utterly useless.

So just to make this clear.

A) our players are sacks of shit
B) our manager has got them as the best performing team in the league since he took over
C) he hasn’t been able to change the team
D) he’s clueless for not... beating Barce and Arsenal with sacks of shit?

Yes our squad is full of average players. Yes our manager benefited from the “new manager bounce” and the fact he was anybody but Jose Mourinho. No, I don’t think he is clueless because he didn’t beat Barcelona.. maybe Arsenal though who are also poor.

To think it was said fans wont turn on a club legend so quickly..
So thinking that Poch was better option is attack on Ole? Than lets lock all threads about other clubs players. I mean, if i say that De ligt is better than Smalling, i am attacking Smalling? Right?

But yeah, we should put to bed this subject. It is over now. We have Ole, they have Poch and that is it. This is thread about Poch in general and we should talk about him without mentioning Ole. And vice versa.

We did beat arsenal away once. Lost once too. Tends to happen like that when you play away to other big teams. Arsenal are a poor side away from home but at home are a top team.

You what ???

What was our best moment in the last five years? You mean beating City at City or winning the FA Cup or Europa League, don't you ?

PSG result for me. Made me believe we were back. FA Cup was tinged with us sacking the manager. Europa League isn’t a top their comp and the game was routine. City was very good I’ll give you that.

Klopp's Mainz were relegated and Poch left Espanyol bottom of the La Liga before he was sacked. Managers can evolve and learn from past mistakes.

Our worst run of results for 23 years and we have Everton away, City and Chelsea to come...

I reckon we'll need 7 points from that lot to make top 4.

So tired of all negativity. Let's try and look at the positives shall we?

  • Solskjaer played great football until our fatigue injuries meant he had to take a more pragmatic approach
  • Solskjaer hasn't even had his own window of transfers yet but already got rid of Fellaini and Valencia
  • The manner in which we lost playing deadwood must help us be more ruthless in the summer
  • We'll most definitely see a more pressing side next season after a pre-season of intense training
  • Solskjaer wasn't permanent manager when Smalling, Jones and Young got new contracts
  • There's still a possibility that Woodward finally realises we really need Mitchell or another DoF in
  • We can still end up top4 without helping Liverpool by beating City, who can't win the quadruple

How about giving him a chance and be a bit patient? I know it sounds crazy but..
Nah you're fecking mental. Better to just sack him before he's even given a fair chance after all he's only a club legend...

Why didn’t we wait till the end of the season before making an informed decision? Ole wasn’t going anywhere.

Sorry, I meant to say “Ole's at the wheel

Roy Keane is a club legend too. Wouldn't want him anywhere near the club as a manager. Being a club legend doesn't mean you're judged differently. He's no longer a player, he is being judged as a manager.

The board fecked it up tbf. Giving him the permanent contract put unnecessary pressure on him if anything. Could have given him the season as expected and re-evaluated if he was the right guy at the end of the season.

Cant arsed to go into debate but is it possible that every single criticism not to be translated into attack attempt on Ole? Newbies might be confused when it comes to fastest way getting membership.

What is the benefit of giving him to the end of the season?

As of now we can start planning our transfers and we have a manager who can communicate what he wants. Start our business next year already.

What are we supposed to do? Wait? And give it him anyway? What if we don’t want him then? We get our pick of.... who?

If any club legend came in and done what Ole has then yes they absolutely deserve a crack at the job. Ole has been fantastic no matter which way you spin it. He's earned the job and I'm willing to give him a summer and patience to get it right. It would be great to see our fanbase fully get behind him like we did when he first came in and we were winning nearly every game but a lot of our fans got their expectations way too high for this season and just expect the man to work miracles. Remember where we were in the table and how many points we were on before Ole took over. Top four was a fecking long shot. Now we're right in the mix and have a decent chance of making it. Also, when were drew against PSG in December everybody wrote that tie off and look what happened.

What's a manger supposed to do when Lukaku misses a sitter from a few yards out and DeGea gifts Arsenal the goal?

This is how it starts, he's a club legend give him a chance, then it will be give it to Giggs or Carrick they understand the 'United way' if we are not careful will be Liverpool(or even worse the Everton of Manchester) waiting 30 years for our next title.

Ole's got 10 points more than Pochettino in the league since he was hired. It's impressive considering Pochettino has been moulding his team for 5 seasons instilling his methods, developing the team mechanics while Solskjaer is managing the turd left by Jose taking over in mid season. Not suggesting it's a bad a squad, but physically they're shot, there's holes in many positions and they can't string a pair of passes together. Once the injuries started it seems we stopped pressing to avoid more physical problems, so Ole has been working with his hands tied here.

Considering all this I think it's amazing to get 10 points more than Pochettino and being almost level with Pep and Klopp. In our current circumstances it's an achievement just being in the fight for top-4, beating PSG, Chelsea and Arsenal away from home, including also all kind of historic records by the way. Today is the night of Spurs and Pochettino and they deserve praise, but we shouldn't lose the perspective of things.

Ole is one of us and he's doing a remarkable job in difficult circumstances. Now let's hope we can finish the season in a half decent way at least, and this summer the club help the man to start building his team with better physical preparation and adding more capable personnel. Honestly I don't remember when was the last time that I was looking forward to the following season with hopes and expectations. Since SAF left I think this is the first time, as I found it impossible with conservative dinosaurs like Moyes, LVG and Mourinho. With Ole I have the feeling that we made the right call. Time will tell.

Yeah whatever mate.
