He is absolutely under pressure.
You don't get rid if you don't have the fecking replacements. Gosh, how is that so hard to understand.

We need wholesale change in the coaching team. Former players, former coaches, it's all hanging on the fumes of past memories - where's the innovation, the change and the evolution? I'm livid the more I think about this, when you take the sentimental side out of it our coaching team is basically one experienced coach (Phelan) and that's about it. I love Carrick but what does he do, I love Ole for the striker he was but what has he done and what can he do as a manager?
I look at the PL at the top 6 and I can tell you how each team plays, or at least wants to try and play, and then I look at us. I see no personality, we are a one trick pony with some fast strikers and some weird inability to identify talent - some of the starting XI today wouldn't even get on the bench at any of our rivals but yet we have persisted with them for years.
We can blame the board and Woodward, quite rightly but we should expect a whole lot more from the coaching staff because there's no evidence of any coaching of any kind to the outside eye. Win the ball, through ball to Rashford or James, lose possession, rinse and repeat.

Woodward manages both incomings and outgoings. All the manager does is give him list of who he wants out and who he wants in. Rest is up to Ed. How is that so hard to understand?

Yeah. This season is a write off. Problem with playing youngsters is that the foundation of a team around them is not there. We all want to throw them in the deep sink or swin, or sack Ole for not doing so and for not getting more out of the trash he inherited. If people think sacking Ole means a thing it doesn't. They just want to see it done, then cry after asking why the club have no vision and can't keep a manager.
We currently do have a vision, but the manager is caught between his boss telling him he should be getting more out of less than the last manager had at his disposal, and Nicky Butt managing the youth-players development telling him to ease them in slowly. I want to see the youth, its the only thing that isn't depressing but I also do get why they haven't started the season playing every game.
I mean, I've been less than satisfied with the line ups and the manager does pick the line up but he can't magically make better alternatives appear... Pereira vs Lingard? I don't care, same shit. I'm not really surprised to see either of them starting when they are the only one competing. Then you eventually get to: "Do we miss Lukaku and Fellaini" These are panic-driven desperate questions I do not care about as they have nothing to do with our future. I expected to see shit, I see shit. Where we go from here is the important part, and I have no clue as to what is going to happen.
I have this feeling Ed is just fecking around with the fans, and will trick them into feeling pleased we're sacking Ole while he himself stays on.

I've lost very much of my interest in the sport anyway but after today I want him out. It's completely deluded to say he needs more time. Even if he could just get us to draw all these lost games I would be perfectly fine getting behind him but 10 losses in the last 19 is unforgivable and far worse than even David Moyes. And now because of our inept board not being able to find the right fit we have become just another Chelsea sacking managers every 2 seasons.
Its his insistance that Rashford as a forward not scoring goals is not a problem, instead of dropping him or playing him from the right. I got a lot of abuse when I said last year when Barca was considering bidding for him we should sell him. Especially the £100 mill the papers was quoting. Wish we had done it.

I feel sorry for him. Questions he can’t answer. Things he don’t understand. Inexcusable performances. Players getting injured. Results out of control. The world is spinning and he’s in the middle of it.
Soon I think he will start to feel isolated and alone. Just wait until the players starts to voice their concerns. It will come. When Woodward and other executives starts to talk about him in third person then it’s all decided.
It’s just a matter of time.
I want him out. Not because I dislike him. I don’t want him to lose his dignity. A couple of more losses and this can get really ugly. I don’t want him to leave with the tail between his legs.

It would be disastrous if we fired him now. He needs his best players back fit though.

Huh, you don't think they'd have discussed anything more than that? You've got to be fickle to believe that the only communication between Ed and Ole is the passing of a list. But hey, how else would you absolve Ole of any blame.
Besides, Fellaini went in Jan when it was obvious we weren't replacing him. And Rom went on deadline day when it was obvious we weren't replacing him.

Both Ole and Woodward are at fault but outside the transfer windows Ole is paid millions to get the best out of the squad he has and that includes the youth. We can offer up all the excuses we want about them not being ready but the fact of the matter is that the seniors he is relying on are worse and have proven to be so since around March last season. With the players he has at his disposal he should be able to build a team that can scrap a draw at West Ham but playing 4-2-3-1 with the semi retired duo of Matic and Mata is just criminal.
Chelsea sacked Di Matteo after winning the Champions League, Ranieri was sacked the season after winning the Premier League, getting rid of Ole wouldn't be as brutal as it may seem. As cut throat as it sounds there comes a time when you are allowed to make a fair assessment of the results and delivery and decide whether the person's up to the task or not. The signings he made were good and he (kind of) knows whats important in a man utd changing room, but his team selections have been dreadfully poor, the side looks as imbalanced as ever and he doesn't seem to clock on to his repeated mistakes. It's fair to say it's far from good enough and it's getting worse.

A manager has 2 choices, either go full Jose and criticise squad quality publically, risking unity and player confidence. Which didnt work for Jose. Or do what Ole has done and publically back the players you have?
If Ole was happy with the squad it would be extreme naivety. Whereas withholding funds has been done before by Woodward/Glazers. In particular just after we finished 2nd and needed big investment to kick on.
Ultimately neither of us can be 100% sure at this stage.

He was good in the first 3 months though. Not sure what changed after the PSG game. He didn't used to park the bus, but now that's what he is doing.
Parking the bus against WHU is pretty sad.
He severely over estimated our squad especially attack. Martial or Rashford have never scored 20+ goals and having them as main unit is just asking for that which is stupidity. We're down to 17 Yr old as only striker left. It's full blown panic.

I’ve never seen anything like it at the club or any club for that matter. It is madness. He’s blatantly clueless along with our poor standard of coaches. Agenda and the old boys club rules at this club. I for one am sick of it.
It was his choice to sell players too. He had what he needed he just rejected the chance to work with why we already had. Ended our season before it started.
