Couldn’t win a mickey Mouse competition when we were heavily favorite. does anyone really expect us to compete in the big competition? We saw how that went this season under Ole. We got knocked out in the group stage by rb Leipzig.

Does throwing money at ole really works? How about getting a top coach instead.
Let's hope Poch saves us, I mean he's great at winning leagues and trophies isn't he

Yeah that shouldn't happen

Even though it hurts right now it would be kneejerk to get rid now. Let Ole see out his final year and then let him walk away

Use the next 12 months putting in place plans for his successor

I have a bad feeling for next season. We won't attract any world class players and could well go into a decline. We certainly can't match City. Liverpool and Chelsea will get stronger and we will be left behind. By the time Ole leaves, the club will be in shambles once again.

3 years
Zero trophies except for the Mourinho second place trophy, 5 points ahead of crisis team Liverpool.
Endless meek semifinal exits.
Almost £300m spent
Made three defensive signings for 150m with no real improvement to the defense since his first game.
Unbecoming beta football, reliant on penalties and individual brilliance.
All his "famous" wins have been low pressure/underdog games, PSG in CL, game to end City's run.
Playing for a draw at home to City
Subs l0l
The Deadwoods "Assassinated" by Babyface
"My Rashy Always Plays"
"We cannot even be considered as title challengers"
"Trophies can be an ego thing"
"Progress"

Bin.

It’s embarrassing how our “fans” are swearing, cursing at him etc.
I get that we’re unhappy. But think of this.
Fernandes let him down today. Pogba also. And Rashford and De Gea massively.

No matter what happens next, Ole did a good job so far and doesn’t deserve the severe abuse he is getting.

And honestly ask yourselves. If YOU were the manager, would you have subbed off Bruno for VBD? Would you have taken Pogba off?

He tried, couldn’t win it. Let’s see where we go from here.

Even if he gets sacked - any fan who sends him out with abuse and cursing is frankly an absolute idiot. No matter how unhappy you are, you DON’T turn against club legends. Never. Even if you want them out.

So it's all the players.

Then it's also the players who finished 2nd and brought us this final.

What fecking hypocrisy and contradiction this is.

We had a 7/10 season, it could have been a 8/10, instead its a 6/10. Perspective. We go again next year.

You hsve no reasoned arguement just emojis and nonsense.

If we'd won you still have slated ole
Your posts are nonsense pal. Take off your red-tinted glasses.

Ole's in-game management is absolutely shocking at times. There have been dozens of games where we have lost or dropped points because he's very reluctant to change anything.

No they are all 40 IQ people. Losing to Villareal and playing so piss poor in a final should be accepted. Give him £200m we go next year for the title! Knee jerk.. Fecking hell man.
It is a game. Do you think decisions should be made on a game or over longer periods of time ?

People in positions of power at football clubs generally know the answer, and that is why there is a zero percent chance ole is sacked, while some posters on this forum are 100pc sure he should be

People are posting ole has to go. So you think these are high IQ people.

Say what you want, but for many, this performance and result vindicates a lot of people who want him gone. It’s not knee jerk when many fans have wanted him gone all season. 5 points separate United's best season in ages, from Liverpool’s apparent disaster of a season.

Glorified counter attacking manager, nothing more. And the less said about the coaching staff around him the better...

Emery has won four Europa Leagues with underdogs and got the jobs at PSG and Arsenal on merit - don’t compare this professional manager to the one currently in charge of Man Utd!
How Emery done in the Champions League out of interest??

Gutted for him as a trophy would've shut a lot of the naysayers up for a while at least.

Went big with the starting line up but by doing so he removed his best attacking options from the bench. Clearly we should've subbed some players for energy purposes alone but there were no match winners or game changers on the bench to affect the game so I can see why he stuck with the 11 even if I disagree with it.

To lose by the odd penalty in 20 is really harsh and not a reflection on him (nor is it a reason to jerk off to emery btw - ridiculously fortunate win)

I think he just about deserves another season, we've definitely improved and at times played really well. We're undoubtedly inconsistent though. hopefully he can have better preparation next season and a less hectic schedule allowing us to actually train. If he's serious about taking the next step and challenging for the league he needs some real statement singings though and I doubt they'll come through given the post covid world

Top 4 should be achievable, the question is how serious are we about going beyond that
Emery absolutely done Ole tonight with a far inferior side. That isn't good enough and it should send alarm bells for every united fan. The players will lose confidence with him after tonight

Could say that for anyone. We need £100s of millions spending to cover up our squad and management deficiencies. We're fecking lucky if we are able to spend that because anywhere else and the club is looking to improve on Ole to take them up a level, not their expensive team that can't beat 7th place Villarreal, struggle against a crap Milan, make a huge meal put of 7th place Roma etc. Add to that the CL embarrassment, getting spanked by Leicester in the cup (who were injury ravaged and still didn't break a stride).

The excuses are beyond a joke. Let's throw money at it till Ole wins something, yippee.

Don't be silly. simply a quality cb and rw will make a huge difference.

It actually warms my heart how much displeasure you seem to take from United.

Answer this.... How are we arguably the best team in the world at coming from behind, most goals from subs in the league... How do you make sense of you logic in the face of those facts

Like it or not ole will be here next season, 2nd place and a final he isnt going anywhere.. .... but i dont think he is the man to lead us back to glory.
He lacks a plan B when plan A doesnt work. We were always going to struggle against an organised deep sitting team.. look at the season and the losses at home..ole doesnt have the plan b against teams who sit back.

I’d like Brendon Rogers at united but ole will be here next year end off.

What was the point difference between Liverpool and United last season? Remind me please??

It was always going to be that way.
They came to strangle the game and when it became clear after about 5 mins that the ref was playing for them I accepted our fate.
Tbh honest though, how many of their pens were saveable by anybody? I can think of 2, maybe.

It really didn't have to be that way.

We badly needed an injection of energy after 60, 90 and hell even at 105 minutes to keep up the intensity and we may have scored through sheer will. I mean when was the last time you saw practically the whole starting team play 120 minutes in a major final ?

Starting XI on point, but no game changer on the bench today from an attacking perspective and therefore no substitutions as the game went on. Our best players or possible match winners (Bruno, Rashford and Pogba) really let us down tonight. Ultimately, we should be able to change our shape and approach during games, which hasn't been the case all season and that's on Ole. There are some teams, that are just too good to stop them and win things by sticking to their philosophy. We are not that kind of team and need more tactical flexibility in certain games. It's obvious that, apart from the squad itself, the coaching department needs improvement too. No need to sack Ole, as he has done a lot of good things in terms of squad (re)building and man management, but add someone to the coaching staff with experience and real tactical knowledge.

Made one simple mistake of playing g Greenwood instead of playing Rashford right and Pogba where Pogba should play on the left. Dreadful night.

I feel Ole is the biggest problem. We need better players too, but I think the ones we got with 3-4 good signings this summer could win the title next year under a really good manager.

Say this 11

Henderson/Heaton
Wan Bissaka/new new/Lindelöf Maguire/Bailly Shaw/Telles
new /Fred
Pogba/Mctominay Bruno/Donny
Greenwood/Rashford Cavani/Martial new/Amad

I'm no fan of Ole and eventually believe he will be moved on. Him being sacked is out of the question.

There is one reason why this team cannot get anything over the line and it's because Solskjaer does not have the mentality of a winning manager. Throughout this season he's conceded he isn't challenging when the team was first in the league. After the fixture against Wolves recently he's asked about his expectation winning the final and concedes to say "let's see".

United can have a world class team, top player in every position but the team only achieves what is within reach of their protracted expectation. Today is a big loss, it spoke more about Solskjaer's character and his future at top football more so than anything else.

Give me just one fecking crucial game to win a cup or in a title challenge for us that he managed properly ?

We didn't create a single chance in open play against a 4-4-2 that offered little pressing, pace or threat.

Are we happy with that? Because it happened against Sheff United, WBA etc etc etc, it's a pattern, and it's gone too far. If you look at the players we have on the pitch, to create so little really needs to be questioned. I don't know why it isn't.

I know that this result vindicates people. Any bad result does. These are people that spoke in absolutes 18 months ago and have been raging ever since as ole has improved the team and broken records, making them look stupider and stupider... It is a glorious day for these people, this is their cup final in the age of tribalism, marriage to opinions etc. I accept that. It will blow over in a few days and we can focus on how to move on

He's done enough to earn next season so can't be bothered to moan beyond that right now. His flaws are obvious to most, he'll either improve or he won't.
Agree on the first. Calling for his head just feels pretty pointless at this stage. I don't have the energy to get all riled up like some on here.
On the other point, pretty sure he won't improve. This is his 10th season in management. He's not a world class manager and never wil be. He got the job under very unusual circumstances.
Anyway, I am convinced next season will be his last here.

We did create chances, you didn't watch the game haha

I’ve been Ole out for the majority of the season but so badly wanted him to get his hands on that trophy.

Nothing’s changed, though. He’s not an elite manager, he’s not going to become one, and it’s case of how long we’re prepared to wait for him to win a trophy because he’s one of our own.

I don't think it's that bad tbf, we're lucky in that Spurs and Arsenal aren't doing anything remotely threatening so as long as we finish above Leicester top 4 should be secured again next season

Scant consolation I know

If he doesn't win something next season, that's it.

I love him, I like the feel of the squad, but even Moyes won more than him.

Van Gaal and Jose won more than him.

And this is the worry with Ole. There's just nothing about him that really makes you think of him as a winner.
