Those expecting a title challenge next season have their heads in the clouds. Those calling for his sacking are also wasting their time.
Both are equally unrealistic. We were quite lucky with injuries this season and most of our rivals didn’t turn up. Without some galactico signings, we will struggle to get top 4 next season, because the competition will be tougher. And Ole has to become less biased with his player management and more reactive with his game management. Certainly won’t win anything before he does, no matter the squad he has.

Don't be silly. simply a quality cb and rw will make a huge difference.

It actually warms my heart how much displeasure you seem to take from United.

We had Maguire in other games and still played like crap. Greenwood has played well from the right. What do you want? Messi and VVD.

Another manager could get much more from this lot. Jose won it with a worse team. You're just deluded pal, your last sentence sums it up. Different opinion and you can't wrap your brain around why that might be or that you might be wrong.

It is a game. Do you think decisions should be made on a game or over longer periods of time ?

People in positions of power at football clubs generally know the answer, and that is why there is a zero percent chance ole is sacked, while some posters on this forum are 100pc sure he should be
He's on his 3rd full season next year. He will most likely never have a better shot at a title than tonight. He blew it in class and proper embarrassed us. Losing a European final against a team like that. We need a manager who can get us back to winning titles whatever it may be. He's clearly proven he's not capable why stick with him? The dressing room will be in absolute shit spirit atm and it's not guaranteed he will finish top 4 next year.

Did you get enjoyment out of tonight?

Not my fault I can take what happens in the past and use it to predict the future. And be proven right.

Yes cup finals are great. I enjoy when we reach a final. I enjoy a shoot out. When you've watched football for a long time you become more philosophical about it.

United are getting closer to where we all want them to be. Just have a but of maturity and stop ranting and raving about Ole.

About the same as Emery in the Champions League
Are you seriously arguing that Ole is better than Emery? Emery is 10 times the coach Ole will ever be. It doesn't make him the best manager in the world though because the bar is unbelievably low.

And who do you bring in knowing full well that you can't fork up the funds to rebuild the squad for them?
Who knows, what I do know is that there is zero forward planning at this club. Bayern get their successors lined up before they sack managers. We've been looking for the right manager since 2013. In that time we've missed out on Pep, Klopp, Pochetinno twice, Nagelsmann, Tuchel etc. We watch the big clubs plan and replace their managers successfully and we get left with scraps. However even with scraps, there must be better coaches out there than Ole.

Yea, a double in his first season already with a big team when he hasnt Been there for a year yet.
Wow, amazing, anyone would think that's Tuchels team!!
How'd he do in Europe?

Another silly response.

Clearly we're being linked with Grelish and Sancho. And a number of attainable cbs.

Losing a final on penalties happens.

I'm sorry you still think about Jose.

Yeah he beat them without Bruno... a team with Pereira, Young, Smalling and Lukaku...
That's not a reason to keep a manager. We were very lucky to win that game and prehaps it would have been better had we lost (Ole probably wouldn't ahve been given the job). We finished second only a few points above a Liverpool that had a 'disaster' season. Next season is going to be a lot harder.

If only there were fans who questioned Oles experience when he was hired because he's never delivered in the big stage

Oh wait hold on, today showed.

That was some prediction eh? High iq I guess

I can’t blame him for the line up, it was a solid team which should have got the job done. I understood why he didn’t make the subs in the 90 as we were dominating however we should have brought on VDB and Amad and certainly changed the full backs. The momentum was then lost in ET and then you start thinking about pens. I felt it was a defensive approach and they were there for the taking.

I was angry as we could have won the FA Cup but I’m fuming over this. I’ve backed Ole from day 1 but I can’t say now this has been a good season. 2nd place alone coupled with early CL exit is not good enough. He definitely needs to improve his in game management as it’s cost us here. He’s too scared to take underperforming big players off eg Rashford. Squad players played well against Wolves and were high on confidence so could have been used here. No idea what VDB has to do to get game time.

3 years
Zero trophies except for the Mourinho second place trophy, 5 points ahead of crisis team Liverpool.
Endless meek semifinal exits.
Almost £300m spent
Made three defensive signings for 150m with no real improvement to the defense since his first game.
Unbecoming beta football, reliant on penalties and individual brilliance.
All his "famous" wins have been low pressure/underdog games, PSG in CL, game to end City's run.
Playing for a draw at home to City
Subs l0l
The Deadwoods "Assassinated" by Babyface
"My Rashy Always Plays"
"We cannot even be considered as title challengers"
"Trophies can be an ego thing"
"Progress"

Bin.

Great post.

Yeah you are emotional..
I might be but don't care what anyone says that tonight right there is not acceptable. I've not been sitting here slating him 24/7 I've given credit when he deserved it but to get me on board he needed to win tonight to prove he's capable of winning something but he proper embarrassed us. Half this forum was ridiculing Poch for the exact same thing.

You sound genuinely satisfied with how we played tonight. I feel sorry for you that you have such little ambition.

How'd he do in Europe?
He did amazing in Europe. Knocked out Barcelona and the ex champion before coming across the best team in Europe who he outplayed and forced pep team to play on the counter which rarely any manager can do. His double in the league is a good step before he can make signing and improve the psg team over the Tuchel side, which seems like he is doing already

I'm silly? You thought I enjoy watching us lose. You're so wrong mate and you just don't realise it.

Couldn't give a crap about Jose. I backed him, have since said I was completely wrong and that we've actually got EVERY appointment wrong post Fergie.

I agree, pens is a lottery. Our performances aren't though. You're just clutching at straws. We played 120 mins before the penalties, check BT Sport, they might have a re-run if you missed it.

Can’t even begin to describe how atrocious a managerial performance that was.

The lack of subs, not taking off Rashford. Putting Rashford on the right again.
Not making tactical changes during the game. Conceding the same type of goal. Average manager doing average things.

It’s incredible, it was ONLY one game yet it emphasised every single reason he is never going to take this club beyond this level.

I can't understand at all why we waited till around the 100th minute before making substitutions. Crazy.

I think the problems all come back to the initial team selection. Ole caved in and bottled it selecting the best individual players rather than the best team.

The only positions that should of been up for debate were Pogba/Rashford and Baily/Tuenzebe. But he decided to drop Fred in an attempt to have all the big names in the starting 11.

This then left us with less options on the bench and a clear reluctance from Ole to take any of these players off. There was quite literally no plan B.

Well there was a plan B which was penalties. It baffles me, Villarreal were for the taking in the second half but had half there outfield players replaced with fresh legs. If we freshened up at the same time we could of kept up the momentum.

In Oles defence I think he did bring the right players on to take the penalties and he couldn't of done much different there. I suppose he could of subbed DDG but I don't blame him for not doing that.

But yeh or plan B shouldn't of been a coin toss penalty shootout. The occasion for the better of Ole.

I just can't see it, I'm sorry.

It looks like this our most possible achievement with Ole : Top 3 and good runs in cups.

We're shit when it matters the most. Good luck making comebacks in league games then feck it up in actual important games.

Ole hasn't shown me anything for me to be confident he'll win us the major trophies.

He did well rebuilding the squad and bringing good players but that's the most we'll achieve under him.

Good luck with that if you're happy with such level of standards.

No,
You're asking that.
I couldn't care less about Emery, he's a manager that is perfect for cups less so for leagues and expansive domination.
Ole is a great coach, led us to a final and second place, hopefully more next season.

Today we should have won even without Ole.
Our line up was right, they should not have needed a manager to win against them.
Our bench needs lots of work to battle with City for the next title

If you say so

Go watch highlights and come back and tell me about the no chances

Nice one. Send me the highlights then, i must have closed my eyes and missed the bucket loads of chances we created. Glad you're delighted with the performance.

Ole just said we "didn't create many big chances" either so he must've watched the same game as me.

I'm faccking sick of him saying "that's football" - time to end it now he ain't taking us any further !
