I appreciate Ole's work and the progress.

Last year 3rd and semis.
This year 2nd and a final.

Ole deserves to be backed big on the transfer window a push on for a title challenge next season.

Starting lineup was good, tactics were not. Him allowing Bruno (or worse instructing himself) to basically float to the top of the pitch instead of playing as an actual fecking 10 basically made us impossibly easy to squeeze out of the middle.

His obsession with Rashford is bordering on LvG/Rooney levels. The guy has obviously been out of form/hurt for months, and was the worst player on the pitch from kickoff yet because he romanticizes the "face of the club" he somehow stays on for the entire game while our two most effective players (Pogba and Mason) were taken off. Shocking decision, and it's really depressing because I was proud of the aggressive lineup we initially fielded

Heartbroken for him. A club legend and I've nothing but love for him but tonight was a really damaging defeat. Some world class managers available this summer
Like who? Nagelsmann, Rose, Poch and Tuchel have all changed clubs or agreed to for this summer. There's Conte and Allegri, one who wouldn't be hired as he wouldn't be a 'yes man' for the Glazers and the other was last season on some shite dancing on ice programme, rumoured to be taking the Real job too.

No one is expecting Ole to win trophies now.
I do. It is about progress. We are now one step closer and I expect trophy next year.

Why do you wum on night like this?
Wum? In what way? All I see is some people coming out of their caves to have a go at SOlskjaer despite showing progress. People should never write full of emotions.

:lol:You never disappoint with your deluded nonsense.
What is nonsens?

This is way worse though. Villareal were there for the taking all game. They offered squat.

Chelsea are actually a good team.
They weren't though, they defended well and spent most of the game on the floor or taking their free kicks.
There's a reason they were in the final.

We can say all we want about Mourinho, but he always manages finals well. He got plans and tactics ready to win those titles.

Ole just showed that he did not have a plan B. He had no clue about subs or tactical changes he could do near the end or how he should win in extra time.

Also De Gea for pens is just terrible management. Henderson is good at saving them and deserved that chance. If he had used all his subs for attacking moves and going for it before then fair enough, but he put Telles on just so Wan Bissaka would not be 10th player to take pens if he is shit. I rather bring in a better keeper than doing that.

He is not ruthless to make the hard calls at the right time. When he is ruthless it is often when he do not need to be.

Not sure what he was playing at today. You need to be able to trust your bench to win trophies. Can’t believe he of all people does not get that. Rashford had a mare today and he was kept on. We were visibly tired at the end of 90 minutes yet he did not bring in fresh legs while Emery used his full quota of substitutes. Surely, Villareal do not have a better bench than us.

His luck in the league has been remarkable, but it's in these tense cup ties where his tactical ineptitude and lack of experience and courage get exposed. Nothing has changed, he is and was always out of his depth as United manager.

This team are on the cusp of something really good, but not with Ole in charge,

Shocking Management tonight and has been the case in most important matches under his tenure.

The club won’t sack him, he’ll have to do the honourable thing and resign which he won’t, we don’t have a ruthless Roman in charge who sees the bigger picture and puts the club first,

We’ve turned into a right bunch of bottle jobs under Ole, no ferocity in this team, ruthless bast*d mentality, just good vibes,

People play us now and think Lads, it’s Man United

F*cking Joke

Good night

I have no issue with him staying for the short-term as our next appointment cannot be another knee-jerk reaction resulting in a shift in culture, but Ole's taken us as far as he's going to. He's done a good job and there's positivity around the club again, but we need someone who can stamp a footballing identity on us now.

The culture has to shift, we’ve just played for penalties against the 7th beat team in Spain, the way we play has to change.

Ole has just implemented simple, quite cautious football it’s not going to take us much further than we’ve gone already.

A lot of that positivity is gone now, that was a shambles tonight and will be the lasting memory of the season (probably made worse by City winning Champions League). Rightly or wrongly Ole looks like a guy that shits the bed in defining moments.

Zidane too.

I don't think Ole was ever going to be the one that took us to 'that' level, he was always going to be the one that took us so far for someone else to take us the rest of the way

Question is is now the time for that someone else? It may well be...
It's very possible that it is or is at least approaching but I can't see them being that proactive, so it will almost be that the progress made (however significant it has been) will have to be largely be reversed for it to come to that. Given the parameters under which previous managers have been judged he's still pretty comfortable right now I would think,

A yes man for the Glazers? Mourinho was a yes man?

Not normally one for Ole bashing but the De Gea Henderson decision was criminal. They must know how bad he is at them from training, 5 subs with 5 mins left. Didn't have the balls to do it did he.

Spineless management tonight. He needs to go if we are going to win something.

I bet he feels that he nailed his substitutions since all of them scored their penalties

He's never going to be the man to take us to the top. But the club will take another season to realise it. Done well to stabilise things but I don't think he has what it takes.

He’s improved the culture around the club, but Bruno has absolutely carried him.

Worrying signs tonight. He’s done enough to be given next season but he’s missed a big chance for silverware, seemed to be scared to take off any of the big names in fear of hurting their feelings. Even when Pogba went off it seemed like it did it on the sly so no one noticed.

The game summed up a lot of our issues, not capitalising on good early pressure, horrendous defending set pieces, not changing things early enough when it’s clearly not working and lack of ideas breaking down deep defences. I’d like to see him bring in some fresh ideas with a new assistant or coach

Nothing changes today, he's never been good enough if we aspire to return to our glory days.

If our ambition, is to make CL, or make a deep run in cups, then he's your guy. But, we'll yo-yo in and around these places under him. Unfortunately, CL money is all Glazers care about so I doubt Ole is going anywhere unless he shits the bed really bad in the PL.

Couldn’t win a mickey Mouse competition when we were heavily favorite. does anyone really expect us to compete in the big competition? We saw how that went this season under Ole. We got knocked out in the group stage by rb Leipzig.

Does throwing money at ole really works? How about getting a top coach instead.

We’ve finished 2nd, 5 points ahead of a Liverpool side we’ve laughed at most of the season and trophyless again.

His management tonight on the big stage was quite frankly woeful and inept. He was schooled by Emery who was a laughing stock at Arsenal.

This will take some sugar coating to cheer many fans up tonight. Simply not good enough.

Hands down we're a team of fecking bottlers.

I don't see anything else.

Great when it's not important but give us a crucial tie or game and more often than not will bottle it all.

Any big club would sack their manager after that. Imagine Bayern tolerating that..they wouldn't. Should be sacked tomorrow for that but won't be.

For a man who understood the value of substitutes better than anyone as a player, his management of games is simply bewildering at times.

I'd love for him to be pressed on his thinking during tonight's game. It was amateurish.

Someone who blew a title against fecking Villareal having them look like Atletico deserves to be backed with f all. Complete loser he is managerial wise. You seriously believe he stands a chance of challenging against Klopp Guardiola and co when he can't win against a mid table spanish side in a European final?

He lives!

With the management of the team tonight he could easily lose the dressing room. The players aren't stupid, they will know this is on the coaching staff.

Yeas they are good but they are not Chelsea.

And fecking hell I'm pretty sure we didn't let all our starting players do the full 120 minutes in the FA Cup final either.

Luckily he was smart enough to bring Mata on in the last minute and even then he nearly missed it. No guts to put anybody other than De Gea in goal for the pen shootout either. I'd rather have fecking Maguire in there.

What is nonsens?

That one below. If yet another trophy-less season while being miles behind the 1st in the league is a very good season then we are absolutely done as a top club. To be fair I think we already are done otherwise Ole wouldn't be here.
Very good season from Solskjaer and the staff. We should have had some trophy but that is expected next year.
