I just don't know why he's been such an arse about us lately. It's like he wants to show he's not biased towards us but I'm starting to believe he has really developed a genuine hatred towards the club.
He's said much worse in the past. It's not like he's saying he's the wrong choice. He just doesn't like him. Mourinho probably feels likewise.

It seems the club went into a state of depression after ronaldo left, fergie lost that hunger to build on and slowly but surely it regressed, summer 2009 was a summer everyone at the club should have been ashamed of themselves, the same summer robben, sneijder, sanchez and aguero were available that summer, we sign owen, obertan and diouff. So it seemed to me he did not want to build a super squad again with almost felt like paranoia, the big clubs in spain will take his players again. Its the reason why we stuck on a pathetic 3 european cups, and Real are on 11. We did not deserve a european cup after 2009, if a club sells their best players and replaces them with crap, don't expect a CL medal at the end of it when our rivals are strengthening from a position of strength, or are about to by pass us. From 2011 onwards I say Bayern, Barca, Real had overtaken us, city were about to, and by the time fergie left everyone had, even everton

Seems you have been dealt a particularly strong type of crack there, my good man.

What I really want Mourinho to bring back to the club is some Fight and guts. I know many people identify United to counter attack , attacking football and style ,however for me United was always about the Fight.
2-0 down, 3-0 down first half , the opposition would still be in doubt because its United who are down , and you can never ever write them off. 10 points behind, 12 points behind and still we would never be written off. This is the true and the perfect identity of our club.

We have had some matches where we have had people like park , nevielle etc in the midfield fighting for every ball and giving their all just to cling on to the slender lead, not even close to playing football with swagger and hardly playing adventurous attacking football ( a game against arsenals invincibles comes to mind ), i don't remember anyone complaining of boring football that day , everyone enjoyed the win and were proud of the performance. I also remember Fergie starting as many englishmen or local manchester players in the derby because he knew that game would require fight rather than an attacking exhibition. Fergie for one knew the true identity of the club and always stuck to it.

This is exactly what i want Jose to bring to the club- FIGHT and PASSION and he will. You can see how he celebrates his goals and wins, this surely rubs on to the team and will also fire them up. LVG failed because he felt on the field he cannot really change much. Jose would know that a simple show of agression on the touchline will fire people up.

I hear some people complain that Jose will make all our attackers track back like how Hazard was used. Well i for one will be happy if this is the case. You cant win football games with only one quality- attack , you need players to learn doing the dirty job because its not always that the game will turn out as expected, but once you make winning a habit (playing however), this will create the Fight, because habits are not easy to let go .Doing this also develops a players because now there is more respect and accountability around in the team because everyone understands how hard the other player it trying to make sure everyone wins.

I am also extremely glad that Rio is being mentioned to join. Rio was always a winner like giggs but personality wise they bring different qualities to the dressing room. Being a defender , Rio will bring fire , fight and determination to the party , some passion and fight much needed and will also be of great help to Smalling and the other young guns. If we are able to add some creating talent to this team i would be very excited for our chances. Bring on Pep.

This x 10

Disagree. It's not always the license, paper qualification that matters. Rio was one of our captains, higher in the pecking order than Scholes and Giggs. He may not be a good coach, but he is easy going and well connected with players, Mourinho and his staffs can take care of the technical detail of tactic, training... SAF has good eye for his captains, leadership. Rio can act as good bridge between fans, players and Mourinho even without coaching quality at the worst case. Scholes, Giggs despite being United through and through lacks the charisma as leaders. Rio has been with different coaches, clubs during his playing career that also a bonus. Gary Neville, Giggs Scholes can spout United way all day as it's the only way they know, but that's not helpful for players transferred from different clubs, with different background. There would be an invisible barrier between the through and through United players and recruited players. Rio would be better bridge in this scenario. Didn't Ronaldo say in an interview he didn't talk with Giggs outside of training and matches? Rio bonded well with almost everyone.

And this.

Rio Ferdinand is a natural leader on and off the pitch.

Already stealing office supplies on his first day at work? Mourinho OUT!

He's been to the megastore! I hope he remembered his membership card for the 10% discount.

Wonder what would've happened if he'd asked for an Ibrahimovic shirt.

Jose and his whole family are seriously chuffed to bits aren't they? I'm really pleased. These are great signs that he actually has an affinity for the club and may actually understand what United is all about as an institution.

The normally arrogant, brash personality on media was being careful not to burn any bridges and sucking up to SAF and United when his Madrid team knocked us out of the CL. He's wanted this job for a long time and will be motivated that he's finally here.

Let's hope he brings his winning mentality to the players because we have been desperately lacking it since SAF left.

He's a red.

It's Roy Keane.

He's always been that way. And I'm not really surprised about his comments about Mourinho. I said it myself when a few thought Mourinho would bring him as assistant.

Keane is a lot of things but, the whole "decent career" thing...He's a very humble and self critical man. Read his book, it's like he's talking to his therapist.

As for him and Fergie. Both of them are pig ignorant shits, as much as I love them. Fergie continued to employee a secretary he hated, at St. Mirren, purely so he could make a point of not talking to her and that's not a joke :D Keane is just as bad

EDIT: He's a season ticket holder ffs, him and his children. How bitter does one have to be to buy season ticket to something they hate? :D Keane loves United. He hates Fergie. That's it!
I don't believe he hates SAF. There's bad feeling between them but also underlying respect.

Keane doesn't hate the club. He hates how he left the club. There has been inevitable bitterness since he left, but was to be expected. Ferguson was also guilty of this.

That Sir Bobby/Jose greeting was awkward as feck.

Woody (facepalm). Such a goofball.

Jose needs to ditch the 'trampy' look:)
