Gaming Nintendo Switch

Gonna buy Xenoblade today. It’s taking every ounce of willpower not to buy Skyrim too.

From what I could gather, Skyrim didn't feel as good on the switch as on other consoles/pc, so might be worth to wait with Skyrim til you know for sure. Xenoblade will be great though, I'm certain.

Put my order on the Switch + games on the 26th. Still not sent from the store because of how much of a increase they had of sales over black friday and cyber monday.

Stay strong, brother. PS4 / Xbone special edition is the best way to go, if you really have to play it. Well, PC is the best way, but I'm assuming you're a console guy.

Oh man, i didn't know you had a Switch. I've been eyeing one up since i read about the new Mario. I know i'd definitely play that and Zelda at least. I've seen people raving about Skyrim on it too tbf.

feck man, can i hold out?

Does the switch have online play like the PS4 and Xbox One? Or do you have to still be within a few metres of each other?
No, you have to connect both consoles with a piece of string and hope the wind is blowing the right way.

Just playing battle mode on MK8 for the first time with a mate. My word. Glorious. I can't f*cking believe they didn't have this in the Wii U version.

Battle mode was always my favourite mode on N64, love a good balloon battle.

I’m in love with Xenoblade, the overall feel of the game is awesome. The music is epic.

I didn't ask for your life story, pal, just tell me how long it is.

Also, I find that weird motorbike thing to be very jarring.

Just finished Mario Odyssey, loved it, what do I get if I find all the power moons? Is it worth it?

Zelda dlc..

Bayonetta 3 will be a Switch exclusive! Looks like the switch will continue doing great next year as well.

Knowing Nintendo they will drop about 5 killer exclusives next year too. Fully expecting an Animal Crossing and Pokémon games, probably some Mario spinoff (2D) and a Metroid game. Wasn't Smash also expected to come in 2018? It's hard to keep up with the pace.

There's going to be a lot, but I'd imagine it'll all go into the next financial year from April 2018 to March 2019 (I expect at least one of Metroid or Bayonetta 3 to be pushed back toward the end of that timeline). Bayonetta 1 & 2 are getting a ported version to Switch in February next year, including a Collector's Edition with a Steelbook. The second game is a download code in this bundle, however.

Yoshi & Kirby games are confirmed for next year, and I think we'll see Mario Maker and Smash Bros. Those two would probably be the end of Wii U ports, after Bayonetta 1 & 2 as well (though I think Mario Maker and Smash would see far more enhancements). But that's four first party games confirmed already, with the likelihood of Pokémon releasing in around a year's time as well. I believe a new main series Fire Emblem game is also confirmed for 2018, totting that up to at least six first party titles between April - December. Animal Crossing, Donkey Kong, and Pikmin are games I am sure are in development, but Nintendo will have to hold back on select ones or there will literally be too many games releasing in one financial year. Nintendo also re-applied for the trademark of Eternal Darkness, which may see a remake or a new game in the series finally, unless we're getting GameCube games at last!

Speaking of GameCube games, come January Nintendo will launch the paid online service, so on top of all these games, we'll get a much better online experience and likely a whole host of eShop games / a new virtual console... That's not even going into any third party titles...

Indeed I would expect ports to come first for the next Mario and Smash Bros game. I would love it if they also ported Super Mario 3D World from Wii U too, few people bought the console so the game did not get the recognition it deserved.

I am finally going to catch up on my backlog during Christmas time. I will be away from home for full two weeks so this will be my only console.

We also got my 5-year old niece a Switch for Christmas so fully expecting her to harass me to play Mario Kart with her for hours.

They need to do a Mario Party so bad. I want moments like this with my mates again
