Gaming Nintendo Switch

Think I'm going to skip Xenoblade after all, way too much hassle with the mechanics and it seems very difficult to grasp if you intend to be in and out, which is what I do in almost all my games these days (I haven't even been able to properly get into Persona 5 despite getting it 5 months ago and being extremely excited about it).

JRPGs are not for everyone I suppose.

Yeah, I'm not completely against them and I've enjoyed a few - Persona series in particular was amazing, Persona 4 Golden is possibly in my top 10 favourite games of the last 5 years, but it was actually easy to grasp. Xenoblade looks like something I won't understand after 10 hours and will give up. Maybe I'll give it a chance when the price is lower but will steer clear for now.

Besides what it will do is draw me away from Persona 5 again, and I really need to fecking get into that.

Xenoblade 2 & Shin Megami Tensei 5.
So happy i finally got myself a switch.

Good, have fun my friend!

BTW I'll update the Nioh thread this weekend, I've played it for a few hours so far and like it. I powered through the first two bosses though, so I'm hoping the difficulty spirals, but all in all it's a refreshing change to the souls formula so far :)

From what I read the combat is explained rather well, the graphics look amazing and I read good things about the story, I stiil feel nervous about getting the game espicially with 100+ hours of gameplay and the possibility of it being too complex.

Nice, looking forward to the update. Please tag me to make sure I don't miss it.
How did you fare against the second boss? Heard many struggled with her, but i found her to be probably the easiest boss in the game. (apart from some gimmick boss I won't spoil for you)

It really is more fun (for lack of a better term) than gloom and horror like the soulsborne games. Not that gloom and horror aren't fun, but you feel more powerful as a samurai than as a hollow. In that regard and the speed of the combat it did feel a lot like a bloodborne in samurai-setting.

Ah feck it, Xenoblade looks too beautiful, I am going to buy it and play when I have time. These games hardly ever depreciate anyway and they hold the price for about 2 years so it doesn't matter if I get it now or in several months.

I'm 30, no gf, not much to do with the money so I was wondering if I pick one of these? I don't game much these days but would be nice to bring fun games to play with my mates and stuff like zelda on my own in bed..

How old is the average switch user here?

I have no clue what the average is, but both myself and my friend who will own (and in her case own) a switch are 26, while my girl who is looking forward to playing with me is 25 in 9 days. :)

Why didn’t you say no bf too?

Reported!

But on a serious note, I don’t think age matters when it comes to gaming nowadays. I’m 26, but I don’t think in 10 years I’d stop gaming due to a number. I’d stop gaming when it’s full of loot crates, micro transactions and all that shit. The average age for gamers is increasing every year.

I'm probably the youngest in this thread at 24 y.o

Yeah i got it as a companion to my PS4. I can't wait to play Odyssey, Zelda and MK8.

That's the main reason i bought it. Got no interest in things like Doom or Skyrim on it.

Yep. Why bother when you can play better versions. I got mine for the exclusives.

That's just what a seven year old would say.

Sorry I'm quite drunk.
I'm not sure a seven year old would confuse 'posts' with 'postings'. That said, I don't know any seven year olds, so I could be wrong.

Drink on, my friend.

To be fair english isn't my first language, does that count as an excuse?

Back on topic, the switch is pretty great, isn't it?

It isn't? Well you speak it very well, so ignore my previous jibe.

And yes, it is. Although I am ashamed to say that I rage quit in Mario earlier.

I daresay that is the first time that has ever happened.

So far I want to finish Mario vs Rabbids before starting Odyssey, I just don't have time for it!
