Gaming Nintendo Switch

Yeah, a 4v4 battle. But again, I cannot stress enough, it's not one of those games where people master it by playing over and over. It's so very well balanced, my six year old was playing the beta last night and won more games than he lost  Plus there's no annoying voice chat or any of that, no comments, you don't even have to shoot other people, you just paint and have a laugh.
Cool stuff! That sounds good.

Lego City is brilliant but I don't like the fact that it's full price. It's really a game that is 4 years old.

I tried Splatoon and enjoyed the fact you can have a couple of quick games in 10 mins whilst on the toilet/cooking dinner or whatever - it really shows the appeal of the Switch. But I'm not much of an online gamer and it feels more like a £20 game to me, rather than something closer to £50, so doubt I'll get it.

I absolutely love that game. I want a sequel, not a remake/remaster.
They probably want to see if it sells better across multiple consoles before deciding if it's worth it or not.

That is horrendous by WB studios. So despite it being a cartridge it still takes up about 10GB of hard drive space?
It looked like it, but maybe not now...? http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...hing-odd-about-lego-city-undercover-on-switch

UPDATE 2.30pm: Lego City Undercover publisher Warner Bros. has provided us with this short statement on the game's cartridge version, which suggests you will be able to play without downloading anything.

"Players who purchase Lego City Undercover on Nintendo Switch at retail do not need to download the game to play," a company spokesperson told us.

We're still no clearer why the game's box states it requires an internet connection, or 13GB of storage, but the suggestion here perhaps is that at least some of the game is playable without downloading.

We've contacted Warner Bros. again for further clarification.

It sounds like a bit of an odd situation. I'll have to hear more before deciding to buy it or not.

Sounds like total greed on the developers part to me. Sticking a smaller memory card in the cartridge = more profit.

Any chance that box thing is an error, and the 13gb should be info for the e-shop version?
You were right! About the first bit at least

"The information is listed incorrectly on the packaging of LEGO City Undercover for Nintendo Switch. Players who purchase a physical copy of LEGO City Undercover on Nintendo Switch at retail are getting the complete game, and do not need to download additional content to enjoy the full experience. An internet connection is not required to play the game. The only internet connection suggested is to download the typical content update patch."

I finally Picked one up today and put about 8 hours into Zelda, I'm really impressed to be honest. I've tried all 3 modes (tabletop, TV, handheld) and they all seem decent, the joy cons are better than I was expecting as well.

I want one of those Waterfield cases but the £70 price tag and month long wait shipping from San Francisco is putting me off. I'll probably pick up a pro controller next week, I'm hearing good things about it.

I paid £32 today for it, so around half price. No 13gb loading either

It's actually really good looking and smooth too, like Snake Pass, it shows the switch is actually much more capable than the doubters realise.

I ordered a Waterfield case from San Francisco on Friday afternoon and FedEx just dropped it off now...wow this thing is amazing. The quality and look is unmatched, I recommend picking up one of these cases.

I think I'm gonna buy this today.

I caved and bought a Switch. £330 just for Zelda!

I want to get like a screen protector or something. Any recommendations?

amFilm is the one I've used and I can honestly say it's great so far.

Ordered! Thank you.

Does the Switch not click in when you dock it? I tried forcing a little and then got a little scare so left it. It seems to be working either way...

No, just slot it in there's no need to force it. And as Olly says, until you get your screen protector, use somethong to cover the inside plastic bits of you are worried. I used the lens cloth I got with the psvr for example.

But all in all, just be a little careful when you dock and undock and you should have no worries :)

I love the pick up and play vibe. I played an hour this morning before work.

Why is the Pro Controller so expensive? And is it worth it? It would be nice to keep the Joycons attached to the device at all times.

I'm buying more joycons for the extra tenner, rather than a pro controller.

Controversial, but I really like using them seperately like the wiimotes, they are far better than the ds4 for me. Plus, 4 player Mario Kart...

Lego City will be delivered tomorrow, Mario Kart already ordered too. I wish they did not skip NBA 2K17 and made me wait for 2K18.

I'm so impressed by this. It feels and looks modern but somehow keeps a classic feel.

In fact, this is what the Wii U should have been.

Hopefully we get some quality games.

@Redlambs my AmFilm protector is applied and looks great, although it's a much tighter fit in the dock now. Is this normal? There's probably room on the screen to bring the protector down a touch, but otherwise it's pretty much spot on.
