Gaming Nintendo 3DS vs PS Vita thread.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone has somewhere. Can't find any pictures of any though :(

I'd love to be the person who gets to look after the transparent XL

Guys I got an email with download codes for the SSB demo to play 4 player. Who wants in?

Edit: ffs never mind its local play only :(

What a tease :(

I got a spare code if you want to download it still, you can play against a CPU, obviously limited characters and one stage but it's alright to get a look at how it plays.

You're gonna have mastered the game when I come to playing you on the Wii U Joe

It was always my go to game on the N64 and Gamecube, you feckers are gonna get destroyed by the powers of blue Kirby.

I genuinely believe it. I suck at Smash Bros and fighting games in general.

Still, I hope we play it for longer than we played Mario Kart. I seem to be the only one ever on it.

I'll be back once I've moved house for sure, week on Tuesday.

Anyways this is the 3DS character select screen, there's loads!

Shiiit. Make sure to give us impressions!

Will do, only the 5 highlighted are playable right now though, been using Pikachu and it seems much more agile than in previous versions, I quite like it. Megaman seemed a bit clunky though with too many ranged attacks. We'll see after a bit more time.

Yeah I know right, I'm really looking forward to Lucario and Greninja because if they fight how I think they should they'll fit me well.

It's also been far too long since I've falcon punched anyone.

I haven't a clue what I'm doing, but this is the absolute tits! Brilliant stuff.

The controls don't line up with your average fighter, either, seems like it'll take a small bit to get used to.

That would be really cool Snowjoe, thanks :)

EDIT: Does it use the L shoulder button much? Mine doesn't work, so if it does it might be best to save the code for someone who can play it properly :p

I've been able to win fights without the shoulder buttons. I'm pretty much button bashing though!

I know it does some kind of chain thing with Link, reminiscent of Scorpion's pull attack in Mortal Kombat.

Yeah the L button grabs and throws people, some are up close and some are slightly ranged.

It's cool because it's a pretty accessible game where you can get away with button bashing, but there is still room for experienced players to take it up a level and not get subjected to flukey losses too much.

It seems to be pretty deep too, each fighter is very different.

Yeah you find certain characters fight in certain styles but each one does tend to be different to another, it really does matter who you pick and how you use them.

That circle pad looks grim though!

So far, I like Link best, but I haven't played as the villager yet.

Yeah Link has always been a solid all rounder, good balance of agility and power really. The Villager makes its first appearance, it has a cool rocket attack on the B button and pressing a direction.

Smash Bros is great, but it will be far superior on the Wii U I reckon.

Like Villager the most out of the demo characters, he has two sick recovery options and his Smash Attacks are really strong :D

I've finally got Resident Evil Revelations, about time really.

Really good, isn't it? Much closer to the original trilogy of Resi games than the others, which is nice.

I believe a second was announced, but not sure if it's coming to Nintendo... It'll be released in 'episodes' as well.

Is it like Tekken/MK?

Fixed.

Surprised you've only got it now because I remember you posting a picture of the Circle Pad Pro Bundle, which was one of the reasons I got my first 3DS. :D
From what I remember seeing in the past her arse does look pretty damn good

Yeah I remember wanting that bundle at the time, but decided to put it off for some reason.

Not at all. The characters behave much more like you'd expect them to in a platformer than a fighting game. You also don't have health like normal. You take damage which starts at 0% and goes up and up. Basically the more damage you have taken the further you fly when you get hit, if you fall off the stage or get smashed off the screen you lose a life.

It all feels much more free and dynamic than your classic fighting games.
