Gaming Nintendo 3DS vs PS Vita thread.

That looks awful but it's a big change so I guess it's normal it'll raise doubts. I'd rather wait and see how it pans out.

Yeah I remember before it came out I thought the whole package looked cool. Alas, it wasn't to be.
 
My Layton arrived today, but been at work since 12 and here another hour yet. I'll probably end up playing Pokémon instead, mind.
 
A lot of people were pretty pissed off because in Skyward Sword he was right-handed, in both the game and the art-work.

Yeah.. A while back when Super Smash Bros was announced at E3, people were constantly looking/waiting on footage of Link to find out if he was using his right or left hand lol.
 
That looks like a lot of fun actually.. I've never played the others, but the series was previously on PSP right?

Interesting for sure. No chance I can afford to get it for a while though.
 
Curious, how many 3DS owners are annoyed that Mario Kart 8 is only on Wii U?

Do you expect an announcement of Mario Kart on 3DS next year? Or are Nintendo hoping that DS owners are more likely to buy a Wii U if Mario Kart is exclusive to it?

It's pretty shitty, won't be on the 3DS anytime soon though, they need something for the console.

Nope, never expected it to be on both consoles, they've always alternated between console and handheld.

I don't see there being another Mario Kart for 3DS at all.

That's true, but Smash Bros was never on any of the handhelds right? But with the new one it'll be releasing on both 3DS and Wii U - I thought maybe they'd do the same here.

Does it bother you? Or you're not too interested? I know there's a shit ton of other games for 3DS owners to play, just curious.

Nope Smash Bros hasn't been on a handheld before, but there's only been three so far in the series. With Mario Kart they seem to have a pattern with releasing the games.

I'm not bothered at all. I buy the games and enjoy them, but I'm not such a big fan that I'm fussed about where or when they're available. I know I'll always have the system each one is on eventually if I do want to play them anyway.

I'm not really that big on any fighting games in general, I just can't "get" them. I have Brawl but I've hardly played it. I should probably try giving it a proper go though some time.

Nor am I, but Smash Bros isn't quite the same. You love it for the characters and the weapons/powers they possess. It's not quite the same as normal fighting - although the combat is incredibly deep if you put the effort then, and there's a huge amount of potential strategy there, it's not necessary. You can just play it to have fun, to shoot fire balls with Mario or twat Sonic with Link.

Saying that, I enjoyed it much more playing with friends than alone. Basically, we all want you to host a massive redcafe Wii party.

Me and Ciderman can bring our shiny new Kinects along with the mighty 0 games for them.
 
I played the Smash Bros that was on the Gamecube round a mates house. feck me, that was amazing fun. I cannot wait for the 3DS version.
