Okay, been playing on it near enough all day. Some impressions so far;
Love the looks, feel and build quality of the console itself.
Screen is beautiful. Lovely, bright, clear and very responsive with the touch gestures.
The OS is good, bit of a copy of iOS mixed in with the PS3 OS. But it works, pretty damn well.
Love the integration of all your PS friends, along with trophies and such. The Near thing is quite cool as well, and will take off more with time. Not used the group messaging, or the party or things like that yet. But looks good enough
Managed to set up the content management thing with my mac and it works cool. Able to copy files from your laptop over to your Vita from your Vita, just by plugging it in, browse your files on your laptop with ease and choose what you want to copy.
Battery on it isn't great, charged it twice today, but not a problem as I'm gonna play it at home most of the time anyway. When I'm out, I won't need more than the 3.5 hours or whatever it is anyway.
The whole augmented reality game thing, with Table Football and Cliff Diving or whatever it's called seems pretty good, but didn't really work properly when I tried it. Might have to give it a proper go in daylight.
Played the Rayman demo and it's fecking brilliant. I'm going to have to buy it, loved the old Raymans, and this is just as good. FIFA, as expected, is ace and I've wasted hours on it already. The rear touchpad shooting thing is brilliant
Overall, it's a brilliant bit of kit and hands down the best handheld console on the market imo
Wanna download some games, but don't really wanna fill up my 8GB memory card. May just wait till some 3rd party companies bring out some 64GB ones for a lot cheaper.
