Mexes? Come on... Lets go for Chivu then too? Is that guy even playing sonewhere?
If we sign Mexes and Chivu, we must also sign Djibril Cisse.

Even if just for a year, I would take him if it helps us get back in the CL. Then we have a better bartering tool to attract a player like Vidal. De Jong is better than Fletcher, Anderson, Cleverly. He would add also add more bite than Carrick to the midfield.
Just think about the big games away from home and what he'd give us in a midfield 3 with Carrick and Herrera. We'd be solid for once.
Well if that's what we need... better a 1-year solution than a 1-year problem.I really don't want him! I only see him as a solution for one year till we sign someone like Vidal, Strootman or Carvalho.
Yep, if we don't sign Vidal or an alternative midfielder, I'll be disappointed if De Jong isn't a United player this time next week.
He's ready made to come in and do that defensive midfield job from the off.
Blind. So Vidal is off, according to Daniel Taylor Carvalho is off to. Do is De Jong our last chance or is there anyone else this late in the window?

Don't personally rate him but £24M!! That's pretty high don't you think?Blind.
3 in midfield will be quite decent for this season
------De Jong
Di Maria - Herrera
He would end up on the wing in attack, as we'd likely be playing a forward/#10 on one of the wings that he would displace going forward.No. Di Maria is decent in the midfield but that was real madrid with top players surrounding him. He's at Manchester United now, he can maybe fill in for injured players for some part but to get his best he needs to be on that wing. United are lacking magic from the wingers since Ronaldo has left.
Close to United, 10 million £ according to Daily Star.
For some reason in my mind I thought he was 31, he's not 30 until November. For £10 million I'd absolutely be onboard with this, we need that midfield steel.
This would be almost as exciting as the Di Maria signing for me. A proper defensive midfielder who won't be bullied and is actually capable of tackling.
The fact that's he's a dirty cnut is a bonus.
Vidal, Carvalho, De Jong, don't care. Any will do at this rate.
I laughed. If we are serious about getting good a solid cdm in we should be looking at one of the benders, but for >£10m, DE Jong represents value and experience.
