Nigel De Jong

When I first heard rumours a few months ago on De Jong I wasn't too happy but I have come around to the idea. Would be as useful addition to the squad.

I couldnt give a feck how cheap he is. Are people actually moaning about not spending enough on a player?

De Gea
Smalling - Hummels - Blackett
Cuadrado - Herrera - De Jong - Shaw
Mata
RVP - Rooney
If i were an opposition fan that team would scare me shitless. Make it happen Woody.

...to a stupid post.

Nope, you just uttered bile at the first available opportunity.

The £8m price tag was not my issue, I would happily take Vidal or Strootman for that money. My issue was and should have been obvious from the first quoted sentence, was the talk about willing to invest.

You made assumptions and reacted like my wife.

His addition will certainly allow Cuadrado more freedom to attack down the flanks, but their are better number 6 out their, including ones that are not strictly defense minded. I doubt we will get Hummels though and I also believe Blackett should be giving a regular spot with his current form.

"We are willing to invest. There is no fixed budget. Financially we are extremely strong and funds are available. Louis is assessing what’s going on and there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes, so watch this space."

Yep I could see us splashing the cash, and spending £8m.

So we should only be going after mega money players now? Perhaps you should go and support Real Madrid if that's what you want.

Good player in a position we're lacking, well known to the manager, plenty of experience. I've no issue with it if the manager thinks its the way to go.

Woodward hype??

Because he said we have a lot of money, we have to spend it for the sake of it?

Boasting about how much cash you have, but never showing it, reminds of the fat ugly bloke at school.

Regardless, when we finish 7th and our rivals have strengthened yet again, whilst we talk a good job about buying players, does concern me.

If anybody thinks that buying De Jong would be the answer to our midfield woes, they are seriously deluded.

Don't be a numpty.

Then your post was not well written and if you can't see that, no need to waste my time.

You could've just said that he is an underwhelming player who isn't enough to improve us or not what you had hoped for.

Instead, in an attempt to sound either funny, smart or both, you posted a childish Muppet post about how Woody should be investing more.

Calling posts that call you out on your stupid post "bile" doesn't change what your post is; a stupid post.

I'm hardly the only one calling you out on it either.

We have already spent almost £60 million on two players. Perhaps you missed that.

See above. We have bought players. Two pretty good ones, actually.

Good job no one has said that.

prepare for disappointment big boy. We've done our big signings for the summer, and anything now will be cheaper squad stuff. De Jong, Blind, Vermaelen types.

Shaw and Herrera were big signings? Expensive ones maybe.

Nope, you are right, there is a band wagon leaving and some are jumping on it. A common occurrence on the caf.

I just expected you to read the post and understand it. :wenger: I bet there was plenty of people who understood it fully. ;)

Stating the obvious, all of it. Good grief.

Ooft. Evans over Blackett, though.

I read and I'm still understanding it the way a whole lot of others are, except you.

It's alright, you explained what you actually meant and it's better than what originally came through.

Was it really worth calling people numpties and stupid?

8m seems a bit too much for me. He has 1 year on his remaining contract. When AC Milan signed him from City, they paid around 3m and his value didn't exactly skyrocket. He's 29 now and while he may be a good asset, he's not a player that will make us tick. I'd rather see us signing someone younger.

Who did I call stupid? Or is that how you are feeling? I did call RedRover a numpty, because that "Go and support the Real Madrid" thing is somewhat boring.

I agree totally. 30 in November too.

You don't have a "point." You are whining because "we aren't spending huge amounts on players." Even though we have. Twice.

I want proper investment in our future, midfield and defence. I don't care about the £ numbers. I can't be any simpler than this.

Purchasing De Jong is hardly worth me watching a space.

Ugh, not this piece of shit again, I'd rather play Cleverley every game than ever see this cnut in a United shirt.

You are a swirling mass of contradicktions, aren't you? De Jong would strengthen our midfield, in my opinion, and others. Eight million would be a bonus.

You need to re-read what I have said. Carefully and slowly might help your progress.

Seriously though, if you want to use big words like "contradictions" in an attempt to put me down, use the spell checker.

I am totally wasted on you.

Not a long term fix, but certainly a good option for the moment.
If buying him causes some muppets to throw their toys out if the pram, well that's just a delicious bonus.

Shaw and Herrera were big signings? Expensive ones maybe.
Wow, this is one of the most muppet things ever on here!

Shaw and Herrera are fantastic additions, but just not big enough names for uber muppet here.

Just feck off and play FM, let Van Gaal worry about getting good players that help us win matches.

If you can't pic out a thinly veiled insult within a big word then I am afraid I am.

Anyway, I think we've f*cked this thread up enough. Agree to disagree, etc.

OMG. I didn't think you would feel the need to explain yourself. Come on fella, jump up to the next level.

Are you really telling me you thought I was calling you out about your spelling? Not my style.

I agree to totally disagree. :D

You're blind if you can't see the quality of Herrera.

When did I say he wasn't quality? He's a good player and a step above anything you have (bar Carrick at his best) but he's not a "big signing" like a Vidal or a Hummels.

Neither Shaw or Herrera are marquee signings like Mata was. I wouldn't count him as "big" for a club like United. If Madrid, Barca or Bayern signed him would it be a big signing?

Wow what a hypocrite, how can you tell someone to support another team, just because he would rather get a better player in for big money? And secondly he's not a good player.

Why don't you go and support Stoke or West ham?, they love a £8million signing. Goes both ways.

I think with a rebuild, a long term fix is what is required.

Clearly you are attempting to live up to your tagline with this post.

Oh my god why don't you calm yourself down.

I didn't say they weren't good additions, or good players, I said they weren't big signings for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Why don't you "feck off" and stop being jumpy. They aren't the kind of signings that cause hype, or sell shirts. They're just good players that improve the team.

Just because a player isn't a "big signing" doesn't mean they aren't good players, or that they won't significantly improve you. I agree that Van Gaal will sign the players suited to the system rather than make big name acquisitions which is a good thing.
