I think Mangala had some sort of complicated 3rd party ownership which made his actual price over £40m....which is why it took so long for them to official reveal him.

I know smallings improved recently.
However rojo wasnt too bad last season injuries hampered him really.. rojo and ottamendi seem to have a great understanding for the national side.. could that be the pairing??

He does I just see that covering each other etc. it tends to work well.. even rojo playing left back for us and otamendi beside.. might help with the gelling process
With the amount of time Luke Shaw spends injured.... Rojo at LB (with Otamendi beside him) is a real possibility.
This transfer will hopefully work two-fold, the top class CB we are desperate for, and a new local buddy for ADM to help him settle better and bring him back to his best. Could be like two new signings.
I'm hoping it inspires the rest of the squad to grow proper beards.

A lot of La Liga experts and Journos are saying he has been the best or one of the best centre halves in la liga this season and pretty much all of them rate his defensive ability very highly. Him and Smalling could destroy teams on set pieces tbh.
I've been watching him in Copa America and he's been very good. Obviously brining down his price would be good, we will likely end up paying between £25-30million imo.
