I usually don't lose hope over a player after 1 year. However if a player fails to perform for 2 years in a row than I believe we should consider our options. Ultimately its not a precise science and like anybody else Im prone of making mistakes. The reason being is that we're discussing human beings which are unpredictable. There's nothing to stop a player whose been doing badly to rise to the challenge and start giving his 100% week in week out which, in turn, would improve his performances. On the other hand there's nothing to stop a player from thinking that he doesnt need to improve anymore because he already done it. Hence why we need to adapt our views. I was one of Fellaini's biggest critics but now I dont want him to leave. Having said that, I once believed that Rafael would one day be better than Gaz and even Irwin, which isn't the case I am afraid.
Most likely because only the resident Portugese folks will have sampled his performances whereas Valencia have that little bit more exposure, particularly with Sky Sports in the UK.

50 million euro is about 35mil gbp... 13 years ago we paid 30 mil for Rio. I wouldn't say what they ask is that outrageous. If we are able to negotiate the price down to around 30 we should defenately sign him
£35m isn't really overpaying. Mangala went for £32m, Luiz for £50m, we could be doing a lot worse than pay £35m for Otamendi
