I expect him after the Copa America if i am honest, Woody will go there with the 35m and he will be ours.
Rumour doing the rounds on Twitter tonight is that Bayern want him and we are in negotiations for Jerome Boateng?

Hasn't had much to do in the game tonight but he's playing as the left centre-back and looks comfortable bringing the ball out from the back.
I decided to watch tonight, and he's impressed me so far. For a short-ish defender, he's impressively good in the air.
Yeah, his leap is really impressive. He was winning basically everything in his vicinity. Cavani seems to be sticking more to Garay from goalkicks and such as a result.
He's got a good leap which allows him to outjump taller players and he makes it look easy.
First full game I've watched him, and I really like what I'm seeing.
Kid - i respect ya big time man, but i couldnt give a shite about a CB bringing the ball out from the back. All i care about is a CB/CB's being able to defend first & foremost.. ala Vida.
We need real defenders that love to defend - not defenders that wanna be midfielders or strikers..
I was just describing his performance, I think van Gaal would like his centre-back to be comfortable on the ball. In terms of defensive contribution he hasn't had much to do, but anything he has done he's done right.

Why? If he wins his aerial battles his height doesn't matter. I don't know if anyone can find stats but it looked like he didn't actually lose any aerial duels that game.
He'd be great addition to our team and instantly be our best defender. If we can get him here along with another young central defender, a good right back, a quality midfielder, and a versatile striker, I'd say we're ready to seriously challenge for the title.

Yeah for me Otamendi's defending has never been in doubt. I used to have reservations about his height but you just need to watch him play for those fears to subside. While on the short side he's a beast physically and is fantastic in the air.
Those additions are a necessity for the first 11 alright man, but as a squad that wants to challenge for the League, Champions League & the FA Cup (which we seriously need to get our finger out of our arse & win that again) - we need a little more; such as another CM & an up-top Striker.
RvP could leave (most certainly not the same player he was), Hernandez could leave & Falcao's gone. That's us with Rooney & Wilson - and that's not anywhere good enough to challenge for titles & cups.
2 Strikers, 2 CB's, 2 CM's & an RB are needed, for us to challenge & not just be there or thereabouts bollox.
That's 7 players in, but there should be quite a few leaving also. Plenty are out the door in my opinion.

Yeah, i dont see us signing 7 players either man, but that's what we need. The most important thing is to bring in upgrades in class. Class filters down through the squad & improves players.
