He seems a good kid, and has stayed pretty grounded considering he's moved from Crewe to United. I hardly doubt he's bored, and tbh the thought of training alongside people like Rooney, RVP and Rio shouldn't make anybody "bored." He'll get a loan next season, whether it's Premiership or Championship. But let's not forget he's only 18 and his time will come, there's no point fast tracking him into the first team if he's not ready.

Thats the shit thing about social media, there's no privacy if you're in some kinda spotlight. Can u imagine the kinda trouble we'd all be in if we were under similar scrutiny, especially slagging off bosses, work environment & colleagues etc.

If Powells bored from time to time, so what, thats natural that he wants to play games & he has confidence in himself to boot. His time will come!

He'll be loaned out next season. Prem loan, i think if he can get one.

I'd be surprised if it was a Premiership side. I don't think he's good enough to hold down a central midfield role in the top flight yet.

I'd rather he went into the Championship and got a full season in what his long term position will be than a Premiership side snatching chances here and there in various positions.

United mistreating their youngsters again? SAF used to be nice to his fledglings. Now he seems to like nothing more than dashing their hopes, laughing at them as they languish in the reserves.

Fergie still gives youngsters plenty of chances in the first team. He is certainly more cautious when it comes to midfield opportunities though and I think it's down to the way we set up.

Wouldn't be surprised if a few players went wigan next season, if they go down may want a couple of players and only down the road from Manchester so it could be a good place for the likes of Powell and maybe Henriquez again.

Again? I've only ever had 1 name change and it was from cw1984 to this one now.

As for the tag... well, it's true. That's all I can say!

A loan to a decent Champo side would be perfect for him. Maybe Leicester or Hull or Palace if they are still there, or even Blackburn if they improve a bit, should have good relations with all of them.

Yeah & he'll be giving a few more starts to the young lads now that we're 15pts clear now, except in the big games tho - sustitutes appearances at best. Still a great learning curve to get some game time in big games!

Have you been smoking RHD?? The tag isn't new. I've had it for over a year now!!

Fergie once gave a quote to the effect that he never likes to start inexperienced youngsters or give them their debut in high pressure matches or situations.

The reason he gave was that if the pressure got to the young player and he made a mistake, it would be held in the harshest limelight and scrutiny. It could cause a negative reaction to the young player in question and hang over the player so badly it could stunt their careers.

Fergie is the ultimate father figure and knows exactly best how to nurture young talent. I'm pretty sure that if we manage to wrap up the title early, Fergie will throw in a few of the youngsters, in particular Powell and Amos.

Definitely. Johnstone might play over Amos after the latter's notsogreat loan at Hull this season.

Definitely. I have no doubt in SAF's ability managing youngsters and bringing them through. He's the master.

exactly, which is why, with ferguson's reputation for dealing and nurturing talent (ask giggs, scholes, butt beckam the nevilles etc for a start) and understanding that young players don't really understand the pressure of playing for a huge club with the traditions of United - that any young player with hunger and ambition should take his advise and trust him implicitly.

Right so Powell knows what Fergie has in store for this summer. Kid will be fine. Just itching to play. If he's that bored, I'd be a bit concerned about his future.

I am a bit surprised at his lack of playing time to be honest. Before the season started I didn't expect much from him but in the little playing time he has had for the first team he's looked quite good.

If we wrap the title up quickly I'd like to see him start alongside Carrick

Hopefully with the lead we have and the scarce amount of options with have in CM we might be thinking of phasing him in as a starter for some games and telling him to go out and earn a title winners meddle which he can still do.

Win the league with 5 games to spare and I've no doubt he and Januszaj will make an appearance or 2

He's gone from playing regularly to mostly reserve games. Wouldn't be surprising to be bored. He's had the taste of regular intense football and liked it.

I'd like to see Powell actually given games before that, then Januszaj given games once the title is wrapped up, I think Powell is actually good enough to contribute to the push over the finish line in select matches.

Young kid chatting bollocks? What a shocker.

If we can win the title sharpish, he'll no doubt get a taster of some action late season.

Otherwise he can bloody wait. He's not better than Carrick, Scholes, Cleverley, Giggs, Anderson, let alone others who can play in there from other positions,.

Yeah, really depends on the Club he goes too.

6 months in the Championship and then prem maybe.... A good loan is important for him now.

Did not watch but read that he was doing well. Despite missing a last minute penalty, he was the best player on the pitch from everything I did read.

Was the match televised ?

aidan ‏@englandyouth 1h

minutes on the clock as #EnglandU19s retain their 1-0 lead over Turkey. Nick Powell, by all accounts, the standout.

As per MoO's twitter.

Missed a late penalty too.

I'd say he's more likely to go on loan.

Though if we continue our trend of not buying midfielders and relying on pensioners/crocks then we may either be faced with a choice of playing him in midfield or playing Rafael and Lindegaard there.

So no, no games.

Given people are raving about him for the U19s, anyone reckon there is any chance we will start seeing him making the odd league appearance next season? Or will it just be Carling Cup games?

He has already scored in the Premier League for us. It is entirely possible that he will be starting league games for us before the end of the season.

He has made league appearances this season itself before he got injured. Has a Cl start too and a league goal. Might go on loan next season though.

If we manage to secure the title early, he might be given some chances this season.

Definitely agree with that but that doesnt count for anything much next season, PL games when the title is won are even cheaper than Carling Cup games.

Cina, you are probably right about the loan, but yes, as you said, just because of the position he is in I am dreaming about him being a child prodigy like Rooney who is ready to play for the United first team at 19.
