I'd be surprised to see Wenger basically ditch Coquelin, Ramsey and Wilshere from starting 11 if they signed Xhaka and Kante. Doesn't seem a very Wemger thing to do to players he's brought through.
True, but there is a lot of difference within that trio. Wenger doesn't really have much investment in Coquelin and I don't think he ultimately rates him that highly due to his limitations on the ball. Wenger is frustratingly attached to Ramsey, but that could potentially change. But Wilshere is like a fecking son to him and will always have a place in the side on the rare occasion that he isn't injured.
My ideal scenario would be signing both Xhaka and Kante, selling Ramsey to PSG for a gazillion euros more than he is worth, and going into next year with a Xhaka-Kante starting partnership and Elneny, Coquelin, and Cazorla as depth. Wilshere can play RW if he happens to be fit.
Xhaka without a doubt. Kante is a good player but for Leicester the role he has to play is a lot simpler than the one we'd require. Leicester sit back and need someone to harass in midfield and win the ball back. With us he would need to do a lot more than that. His passing and his touch under pressure would be under great scrutiny and I'm not sure how good he is in that department if I'm being honest.
Would kind of be like what has happened when you signed Schneiderlin. He's a good player but for a top club there was a worry his limitations would be shown up.
I'm not sure about Xhaka. He has limitations too.
Yeah of course Arsenal getting in 3 DMs in the space of 6 months. I don't think they signed that many in the last 10 years.
If I'm being honest I haven't seen that much of him but from what I have read he does seem more like the type of player we need. Someone who can pass well from deep and put a tackle in. Also with Wenger being a cheapskate if he is willing to cough up £25m+ for him he might be alright!
He should sign for Liverpool so that they can line up witha Xhaka---Can midfield.
His touch and passing have actually looked very good too this season, keeps it simple but rarely gives it away.

I read that he wants to go to Arsenal. If they manage to sign Xhaka and Kante, they would solve their midfield problem. But it's Arsenal, so I can't see Wenger spending a lot of money.

I'd take him in a second but I can't see Wenger signing him having already added Xhaka and Elneny in the last six months. I think he was our backup plan if Xhaka fell through.

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. This could be his one chance to move to a major club, as well as maximise his wage-earning potential. I think Kante is going to end up being one of the best midfielders of his type in the world, but say he doesn't and this is indeed a one-off season, he's got to then strike whilst the iron is hot and get himself locked into the best contract at what he considers the best club that come calling for him.
Leicester City's journey has been great, no doubt, but some of their players are now in the spotlight and being offered the chance to play for clubs they probably never even dreamed would look at them. It's not easy to just say no to a potential once-in-a-career offer. I should think that's a burdensome consideration for both he and Mahrez this summer.

I'd take this guy if he is available. The stats from this season prove how effective he has been at winning the bal, breaking up play and screening the back 4. We need someone like that if we're a) to play Rooney in CM, and b) to get the best out of Schneiderlin.

Should be a top priority - can't see him leaving the EPL but doubt he'll stay at Leicester. Whichever "big" team sign him are guaranteed top 4 in my opinion.
I Don't think he'd be a great Schneiderlin partner. If you have Kante you ideally need a better passer and more technical foil next to him. Someone like a young Carrick hmmmmm or a box to box good ball carrier.
If he's to be sold then we should be all over this. It would be nice to see that Leicester team keep its players, but it seems he may leave, if so, it'd be foolish not to go for him. Same with Mahrez, who I guess is staying.

If we had Kante you could play him, Morgan and a playmaker. We'd be ridiculously strong. A front three ahead of them containing Martial, Zlatan and one other and we'd be laughing.
If he wants a move then it goes without saying we should be all over it like a fly on shit. Do whatever it takes to get him to Old Trafford.
This if we sign him then we need another midfielder whereas if we brought in someone like Neves we could pair him with Schneiderlin/Schweinsteiger/Carrick and create a more balanced duo. If we are signing a midfield player it need not be a 6 but a creative passer that we can utilize with our various water careers.
Yep, I agree with this. Neves is definitely the player I'd be trying for this summer.
If he has a 20m Pound clause, then we'd be fecking stupid to atleast not try for him. Actually that applies for all of the clubs that finished above us and literally all of Europe's big teams.

The Daily Mirror claims Paris Saint-Germain are readying a five-year deal to tempt Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante back to France.
They say Kante has a similar exit clause to Jamie Vardy, reportedly worth around £20m, and PSG are prepared to trigger it this week.
Chelsea and Arsenal are also mentioned as potential destinations for the France international.
