NFL Thread 2013-14

Wow. Someone will snap him up surely, it's Ed Reed.

I'll hold out hope hes still recovering from the hip injury instead of just past it.

Maybe Rex Ryan or Chuck Pagano.

I'd love to see it but its the D line they need reinforcements really. Also, there was talk of a move to the Pats in the summer but it didn't happen.

Three years, 15 million as opposed to the Adrian Wilson contract? Who knows. McCourty's played well anyway.

Word going around that Vereen will be doing extra training this week and is ready to return to the Patriots

Johnson running over the Colts so far. Could be another hammering for Indy...

Tough win for Indy. Good game, the Thursday night games haven't been too bad this season.

Not that it needs to be said, but Megatron is a beast.

 Detroit

Serves them right for trying to be too clever for their own good and going for a fake FG.

Awful decision & throw from Griffin, Philly hold on for the win.

Saints defender

Intercepts the ball, running for the end zone and loses the ball. Ball goes flying in the back of the end zone before he got in. Ruled a touchback, Niners ball. Brilliant

Where is everyone?

The Redskins - Eagles game has been a slogfest so far.

Hate both teams but hopefully this loss will shut up the Skip Baylesses predicting another "RG3/Redskins run like 2012" while conveniently forgetting this isn't 2012 and this isn't the same RG3/team. Each season brings new players, changes, tweaks, etc. Sick of the RG3 hype.

At least I have Seattle D/ST on my Fantasy team. My god we suck. If we don't draft a QB in '14, I'm going to personally write really mean things on the internet about it.

Has Freeman played since his first game?

Nope. He damn well better now. We have seen enough of the Ponder experiment. Good luck as a backup, CP7. Freeman ain't the answer either, of course. But let's see what he can do. At least he has the arm to hit the end zone and maybe throw it further than the goddamn, soul-sucking quick screens or 4 yard passes on 3rd and 14, or telegraphing the throw so badly that even OUR secondary could have picked it off. Ponder has got to go, Frazier has to go, along with the absolutely useless Musgrave, the worst offensive coordinator on football. He couldn't call a Pop Warner game.

Prediction:

- Press conference, Frazier will say "We saw some good things from Christian, we've got to look at the tape and prepare for Green Bay."
- And "Our secondary made some plays today, we've got to look at the tape and prepare for Green Bay."
- Ponder will say "Well, obviously we're disappointed with the result. blabla look at tape blabla do things better blabla."

Other than that, it's been a good day.

Seattle came out and played really well today. Good performance going into the by-week and getting ready for New Orleans.

Saints win a good game. Thought the penalty for the high hit on Brees which prevented the turnover was quite harsh, but the right decision.

Niners really struggling this season, same record as Arizona!

Very slow start to the game between Denver and Kansas. Both defenses dominating early on.

Back to back fumbles from each side. D definitely on top in this game.

Finally a TD! Kansas' offense needs to do something soon or Manning will start to pull away.

This has to be one of the slowest games I've ever seen. Still 5 mins in the 3rd quarter to go....

Thank god a TD! That should be enough for Denver to win, despite 1 and a bit quarters remaining in the game.

KC had a lot of wasted opportunities early on to to get some points on the board that really cost'em. I think Alex Smith is going to take most of the criticism for the lack of offense but the receivers were dropping a lot catchable balls.

Ridley's constant fumbling is a big issue.

Too tired to stay up and watch the rest of this. Would be surprised if Talib finishes the game without being benched/ejected. Hope Pats win.
