Any news on when Talib is back?

Yep, but first we need Talib to sign a new contract!
Talib should be back any week now.

And yes, need to sign him to a proper contract, then get another high quality CB.

Also, Kelly is now on IR, done for season. Yup, get in someone to take the weight of work off Wilfork, and end up loosing them both for the season. What a joke.

Rookie hazing has long been around, not sure about the extent of making rookies pay for stuff as is mentioned in this article. I had heard of rookies being made to take veterans out to dinner now and then, but forking over $15,000 so they can take a vacation is a bit much.

I think with the Buffalo Bills the rookies do take their specific unit with the team out to dinner prior to the season opener( IE a rookie linebacker, would buy dinner for his fellow veteran linebackers). That does not seem so bad. And things like rookies being made to carry the veterans equipment back to the locker room during training camp, having to sign their college's song at team meals, some of the other lighter hazing, practical jokes are ok.

But it sounds like it may have started to go way overboard in terms of what is expected of rookies and what it is okay to do and say to them.

Incognito does have a reputation for being a cnut.

Alfonzo Dennard has been very competitive all season too, as has the defense as a whole. The second Jets game and yesterday were the only real disappointments and they have carried the team for the majority of the year, despite the injuries.

Dennard reminds me of a less talented Ty Law. A tough, squat player who isn’t afraid to get beat and gets in your face, no 8 yard cushions. His ability to play press man and not get torched is what helped the turnaround this year, not just Talib. McCourty has been very good too. Its Gregory and the well paid Arrington that you could argue need upgrading.

“good young man with anger issues.”

And now this! Is it Richie's dad posting on a message board???

Martin is Stanford graduated and his parents are Harvard educated lawyers. I'm fairly certain Richie fecked with the wrong guy this time. It's most likely Martin sough his parent's legal advice and is intelligent himself. This is going to get very interesting.

Stephen A. Smith claimed this morning on 'First Take' that according to sources within ESPN (plenty of former NFL people and current insiders with extensive networks)...

What a family!

Asomugha put on waivers by SF. Might be worth a punt by a club in need of CB depth. My how the mighty have fallen. Three years ago he was arguably the second best CB in the league. Goes to Philly, gets stuck in a scheme that is not suited to his style (flip side, exposes his flaws), and ultimately ruins his career. Turned Dallas down for more money from Philly in the process. Probably would have been exposed in Dallas too.

Not sure what salary he's on but claiming a player off waivers and the club assumes the remainder of the player's contract. Easier to allow the player to clear waivers and then make an offer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Oakland put in a claim.

I loved when he was all like, "that was my fault...my bad..."

Ey-yo, any fantasy experts in here?

I got two "dilemmas".

Keenan Allen, Terrance Williams and Marvin Jones - I need two out of those three
Chris Johnsen, Alfred Morris and Zac Stacy - I need two out of those as well.

I got my mind pretty set, but I'd like some second opinions if you got 'em.

Allen/Williams for me is pretty clear cut, running backs is more difficult but I'd probably go with Johnson and Stacy but any of the 3 should do pretty well

Morris has been playing great recently but hasn't been getting goal line carries which have impacted his fantasy value

Flynn may be returning to the Packers, he's due for a workout with them. The guy has earned $14.5 million since leaving Green Bay and has started just 1 game in that time. 1 game = $14.5m. His agent is a genius.

Absolutely ridiculous. Might be the luckiest guy ever.

I'd say the luckiest guy ever is NBA flop Kwame Brown. Quite simply the worst player I've ever seen, yet he's made over $60 million in his career!

It really is ridiculous how much these mediocre cnuts get paid.

Guy is a beast. Deserves to be playing on a much better team.

Brilliant from RG3. Takes too many hits though.

Decent game this.

I ended up going with Morris and CJ. I can still change CJ, but I don't think I will. I did last week, and it worked out (CJ got 29, Zac got 29.80 haha). Colts have been stuffing RBs pretty good lately.

Morris had a good game, but no goal line carries as usual. I have no idea why they stopped giving him goal line carries. It seemed to bloody work last year. Shanahanigans.

Allen and Williams is what I'm going with too, but I'm a bit tempted by Baltimores weak ass secondary. And Williams didn't get much last week against Minnesota, who are useless in coverage. But then again, Minnesota have useless linebackers (at least in coverage), so I can see why the Cowboys went with Witten there, just like RGIII seemed to favor Reed last night.

Also, finally a win on American soil for the Vikings. Ponder played a good game (!), but got hurt. Cassel came in and played OK. That said, the Redskins D is horrible. I don't know if Ponder will be back for the game against the Seachickens, but I don't think it will matter much. I'm penciling in a loss in that game, so any other result will be a positive suprise.

Vikings still almost threw it away in the end by going with their soft zone crap, but at least they still rushed four and threw a few blitzes.

Vikings won  Redskins looked in complete control when I stopped watching.

I wonder if Shanahan will last beyond this season?

Judging Snyder's history, I would be inclined to wager he's out. And Snyder will throw a massive contract at another overrated big name, i.e. Gruden.

Shanahan should have been in Dallas anyhow but Jerry loves his former coaches and players from the glory years. I'm not a fan of Shanahan but he's twice the coach Garrett is.
