NFL Thread 2013-14

Shocking quarter. Denver are winning and Manning's done feck all for them to be winning so easily. Fumbles in abundance. Play clock, game clock both failing. If only the scoreboard failed as well.

And now we have to play into the wind.

Another fumble! At least we recovered this one.

At this point I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

fecking Vereen has to make that catch. Second drop in as many games from him which would've resulted in at least a 1st down.

TD Patriots! The comeback is on

Beautiful throw.

Gronk!!!!!!!!!!

Come on you bastards! 24-21.

Argh, almost got the TD into Gronk first and then Edelman. FG is good, 31-24.

fecking holding penalty

D has done well so far this half, keep going cnuts...

fecking wankers. 31-31.

3:06 to go. Come on Brady, don't feck this up now.

fecking punt coming up. Manning has plenty of time. cnut.

Pats choose to defend and opt to take the wind?!

Big call...

D makes the stop. FG to win it for the pats...

Clear pass interference. fecking imbecile referees. cnuts.

Another punt.

fecking referees. Blind fecks.

And another punt.

This might be the last drive of the game...

We will win this...

(Unless we feck up...)

For a bandwagon fan, you sure do get emotional. ;)

Incredible game. Fantastic comeback. Big win that keeps us in the hunt for the #1 seed.

Brady was superb in the 2nd half, WRs made the catches, D did a great job and special teams made the play when it mattered.

Time for bed!

I actually started supporting the Pats the season when they were neither the defending champion nor the eventual champion. They've also not won since I started following them. So, I'm not sure if that does or does not make me a bandwagon fan.

Started following the 16-0 season. The loss to the Giants cemented it for me. Was even more painful the second time round since I was more invested.

Perhaps you have a man-crush on Brady.... Brady bandwaggoner?

Also, I'm fairly certain a lost a few years of life watching that game.

fecking hell. I went to bed expecting to get enough fantasy points from Peyton and J. Thomas to get a W. But Peyton does his usual cold weather derp and Thomas was out

All up to Alfred Morris tonight now. Need at least 18. Might be a tough ask against 49ers run D.

Also, regarding the Vikes. We were up 23-7, and the game ended 26-26. I was expecting them to manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory yet again, but somehow they managed a draw. Positives: Audie Cole at MLB. Now watch the coaching staff bench him for Erin Uselesson again in the next game. Rhodes in man coverage. Watch us go back to soft zones (like we did in the 4th quarter #/4#¤27834/(!54"#%(!"). AD and Gerhart rushing for 237 yards. Ponder playing well for three quarters.
Negatives: Ponder in the 4th quarter. Bitch-ass soft zone "prevent" defense in the 4th quarter - always works (NO IT DOESN'T). Guion at NT - what is he doing here still? Drops from wide receivers. Jennings running his mouth at GB, and producing this kind of display on his homecoming.

Please, Frazier, put Cole in at MLB. Move Erin Henderson to Will linebacker, move Mitchell back to the bench and special teams where he belongs. And start Rhodes outside, for the love of god. And get Mauti in at linebacker as soon as he's healthy. If Cole can come of the bench and play like this, what else have you been hiding from us? This favorites/vets always plays thing is getting old. Play the best players, for feck sake. Other teams are starting UDFAs and we aren't even giving our 1st rounders the opportunity to earn starting spots.

Peyton Manning's face annoys me, so I'm very pleased with this result but incredibly gutted that I missed the game.

Just watched some of the highlights. Such a difference between the zip someone like Stafford can put on the ball compared to Peyton.

Plus, he's never really thrown a tight spiral. That has repercussions when he's playing in the cold weather.

Denver are going to tank early in the postseason, I reckon. And Eli, who's so grossly inferior to Peyton, will end up with more rings. Shame.

Two Seattle corner-backs have been suspended (one for 4 games, and the other for a year) for contravening the league's substance abuse policy - non-PED. The coaches there really need to get control of these issues now.
