Nah, he just sucks.
Maybe he does but considering what they gave up for him it’s just bizarre to give up on him for Sam Darnold

I've heard they took it way too easy on him and all the other crap going on at the program, so I'll probably pass...and totally not because I'm still bitter about the DPI no-call that concussed OU's WR early in the Natty game.An interesting documentary on Netflix re: Urban Meyer and the Gators.
When was that?I've heard they took it way too easy on him and all the other crap going on at the program, so I'll probably pass...and totally not because I'm still bitter about the DPI no-call that concussed OU's WR early in the Natty game.
2008-2009 season BCS title game. When was that?
Bastards.2008-2009 season BCS title game.
No doubt, massive swing & miss.
But it is telling that they consider him third.
When was the last FCS quarterback to ever succeed in the NFL? Wentz had some early success, but who after that? Probably blanking on someone obvious.
Yeah, McNair did play very well, but I also do feel that I am omitting one.McNair did very well. Doug Williams had some decent years and one glorious postseason run. I may be missing someone in the last 15 years.
I think it’s one of those “read between the lines” type documentaries. But they do show some clips of someone passing out during “fighting” drills, people being sick, midnight workouts etc… I’m halfway into the second episode, and you’re right it’s obvious it was probably even more odious than it’s being portrayed as. But unlike you I don’t really have any actual knowledge of the time so I suppose for me it’s an interesting watch! One thing for sure, it’s plainly obvious why he failed so miserably at the Jags.I've heard they took it way too easy on him and all the other crap going on at the program, so I'll probably pass...and totally not because I'm still bitter about the DPI no-call that concussed OU's WR early in the Natty game.

Nah, don’t want unless he was okay with the practice squad QB. Offers us nothing but a warm body. There seem to be a lot of rumours and speculation that the Bucs could be one of the teams interested in taking him, a QB room of Mayfield, Trask and Lance? Enough to get you moist?
I've got to admit I don't take much notice of the preseason. I didn't even know they were playing. It gives me more time to prepare for our annual beatdowns when the season actually kicks off.
Make it make sense, people. Whyyyyy would you trade for a RB who wants a hefty contract, ESPECIALLY when you are clearly not a SB contender? Nuts.
The Colts' stance is laughable as well in this whole saga. Drafted the guy 3 years ago in the second round, don't wanna pay him premium money, but do expect a 1st rounder or a package equalling that for him. Sure, guys.
Have you considered the possibility that said running back is a generational talent that can transform an offense?
I wouldn’t give up anything. Whatever wage he might get, will not be worth it.
Feck sake, they can't help themselves can they.
Something like Swift and a 2nd (or a 3th, ideally) would make sense for the Eagles, maybe. But I guess they feel strong enough about the mix of Penny, Gainwell, Swift and they're too smart an organization to give up a 2nd in the process probably.
Apparently he rejected to do it initially. I take that as he had some content control which stinks and is obviously watered down.I've heard they took it way too easy on him and all the other crap going on at the program, so I'll probably pass...and totally not because I'm still bitter about the DPI no-call that concussed OU's WR early in the Natty game.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen ‘Lance’ & ‘quality back up’ residing in the same sentence before.I'll take that. I still believe in Lance and with Dak having his injury troubles in recent years would be nice to have a quality back up.

What’s the story with Lance? Any reason why he hasn’t progressed or was he always overhyped in the first place?
You mean any reason why he isn’t viewed as successful after he played like 3,5 NFL games? What’s the story with Lance? Any reason why he hasn’t progressed or was he always overhyped in the first place?
Depends who you mean by “we”. In the world of sport nothing is conclusive, I get that, but I don’t think it’s as simple as “we don’t know” if you’re talking about the 49ers (obviously we fans don’t know jack diddly). How many QBs who have been acquired for early first round picks have been cut / traded without being given a chance by their drafting team, and then gone on to be great QBs elsewhere? I’d hazard a guess without any research that that’s the exception. 49ers must have seen enough with 2 years of him in the building to have made a decision, one which overall they’re incentivised not to make given the steep price they paid to pick him. I agree with the overall principle that QBs are written off far to fast, but the circumstances in each situation do matter too.You mean any reason why he isn’t viewed as successful after he played like 3,5 NFL games?
We still don’t know whether this guy can be a good NFL QB and anyone telling you otherwise is just a hater. Think we can confidently say he wasn’t worth trading three 1st rounders for but that’s entirely on the Niners and nothing to hold against him.
