Rodgers should just ride it out with Green Bay for a few more more years. The NFC South is in a transition period, the East doesn't have an elite team apart from the Cowboys who always fail and have a bad coach. Yeah the West is competitive but they all play each other twice a year as well, and the Niners will likely have a developmental project at QB next year.

If he moves to the Broncos, he'd have to play 4 out of 17 games against Mahomes and Herbert and would potentially face off against the likes of Lamar, Allen, Burrow, and again Herbert and Mahomes in the playoffs. If he goes to an AFC team, I'm willing to bet he never even gets to another SB.

Genuine question - Are there any teams in the NFC who are exciting to watch? I only watch full games of the Chiefs & the do or die games in the last 3 weeks of the regular season and the post season games. This season the Rams, Bucs and Packers have been good but when I've sat to watch their games they seem quite mechanical, decent in both offense/defense but they just don't make that many plays which get me out of my seat. As a neutral I'd much rather watch the Bengals, Bills, Chargers and the Ravens (with Lamar). I don't know if this is me being ignorant having confined myself mostly to highlights shows on BBC or if I'm justified in this opinion.

Having said all of that Cooper Kupp is one player who really lights up games in the NFC.

A great warrior is judged by the warriors he defeats; I expect these guys at the very top feel like that, that they can and want to beat the best.

(totally neutral perspective as a Broncos fan)

Random thought. But thinking about this NFL class:

Brady
Big Ben

Then realistic retirements include Gronk, Whitworth. They would both surely also be first ballot.

And now Weddle too - since he retired but has come back. He’s surely a realistic retirement too.

Could there be 5 all first ballots in this HOF class? Is that even possible?

Sherman, too. Would be cool if Fitzgerald and Gore suddenly tweet that they are officially retired as of now.

Seeing Brady retire just when I start following this sport is like just starting to watch Football (Soccer) after Messi and Ronaldo have retired. I've missed decades of great stuff. Looking forward to watching Man in the Arena to get a glimpse of what he's achieved.

Oh well, looking forward to following my first Superbowl, and I'm rooting for the Bengals for this one, not sure who I will settle on come next season, still feeling out stuff.
Not sure if reading the cafe makes it worst or not.

You could check out ‘The Brady Six’ as well. Think you can find it on YouTube. It’s pretty good as well.

You love trying to create drama  You’re actually such a spoon

 You guys are a fairly sensible lot, I give you that. No WAY it can ever become a F1 thread vibe in here! :D

But seriously, I don't know who to go for this time, not invested in any. I like Kupp and seeing the stick Stafford was getting on here. I'll just see how I feel come game day :nervous:

What teams have you gravitated towards so far? Seems absurd now but when I first started out I developed a soft spot for the Packers :(

You need to support the Jaguars or the Lions.

I have to give a full season to decide, right now I don't know many of the players, I feel clueless reading and seeing the laughs and stuff, even that twitter lady clips posted in here go over my head :wenger: Even coaches are so many to get to know who's who.
Also going to have to know what to expect when the draft finally comes along also...even more clueless when it comes to that.

But just from when I started, which was week 15 or 16 I think, I enjoyed watching Chiefs and the Bills, that game when Mohames and Allen went at it was really enjoyable and couldn't decided who I'd like to win.

Haven't watched a single game of theirs. Just to be clear, I started watching the NFL simply as a glory hunter for now  Not ashamed to say it.
However, I'm waiting to see what team get's me feeling depressed like United do.
But hopefully like only after a decade of winning :nervous: But seems like there is no Man City kinda team in the NFL.

On that, do Leicester City type miracles happened in the NFL?
Seems like there are a lot of almost teams just by going on this thread.

The league isn't built for miracles per say, at least not similar to Leicester City. Due to the hard salary cap, there is a constant roster turnover which means that you should be very careful when you pick a team because they are successful today unless you are willing to switch teams every other year.
If you want a somewhat safe bet though, you have to pick a franchise QB but even then you can be like the scummy Packers unsuccessful with the most talented QB in the league.

That’s pretty awful stuff. Probably also takes Flores out of the running of any vacancies this year, at the least. Which is such a shame.

I see. Kinda got that feeling when I watched the Arizona all or nothing season.
Very interesting sport though, enjoying the learning curve, even though I haven't even scratched the surface I'm sure.

I’m also fairly certain that tanking to lose and get a better pick is in violation of competition rules.

Yet it’s talked about openly, at least in the media and among fans. Wasn’t there campaigns to ‘Suck for Luck’ and ‘Tank for Trevor’, when they were becoming eligible for the draft?

He would have a decent case given that there was only one black coach as of a couple of weeks ago. Flores himself, will probably never work in the NFL again.

Harbaugh could offer him the Vikings DC job?

But seriously, my guts tell me that he is telling the truth because I don't see how a coach that is supposed to be that disliked by the staff and players could make them turn things around the way they did. If anything I wouldn't be surprised if everyone knew what was happening behind the scene and tried their best to save his job. I

Ps: I'm talking about the Ross and a QB allegations.

But it’s all hearsay right? And largely theoretical from the media / what fans want if their team already sucks. It’s rare something like this ever gets publicised if it does happen. It’s very different to your usual stuff.

Ross is generally reviled in Miami and most fans have had enough of him. Wouldn't at all surprise me if most of this was true.

Sadly, the NFL is run by the owners and just as Kap found out the hard way, Flores making waves by suing the league will likely only result in him not working again.
