NFL 2021

Just checked on game tickets. Prices start at 7k in the nosebleeds to 60k for front row behind the team benches. Pure insanity.

How much to stand on the road a mile away and breathe in the Super Bowl oxygen. It'd probably set me back 2k I reckon.

How are SB tickets split? I guess a lot to sponsors. Then some to each team? How are they sold? And what about any general ballot tickets,

They are supposed to be split evenly among teams, who then have lotteries for their respective fans who get in much cheaper. The prices I quoted earlier were from ticketmaster.

Confirmed now. They play the Pats and Colts next season :D

Only 2 QBs with a Natty and SB win, that's Joe Namath and Joe Montana. Joe Burrow can become the third one.

Technically, Aikman is on this list. He was the starter for OU in '85 but was injured against Miami early in the season and missed the remainder, Holieway took over and led OU to the title. Aikman transferred to UCLA and sat out '86.

It’s 2022 and I am so amazed that people manage to watch games non live without knowing the results
I rarely watch live NFL, too many ads. Unless I’m there of course at Sofi stadium.;)
Currently scouting for free tix for the super bowl.

Most footy games for me are recorded too cos of the time difference. I avoid most media until I can watch the games.

On a side note, I found it quite interesting that he didn’t at all mention the Patriots in his tweets.
Yeah same here! Maybe because he already extensively thanked everyone involved there two years ago when he left, but the inclusion of "Bucs this, Bucs that" was striking.

Yep - I completely get why he would thank the Bucs - they were his here and now and he was walking away from all of those people, not the Patriots. But I half expected even a paragraph thanking Kraft or Bill or the Pats as a whole for giving him the opportunity etc etc etc. but maybe you’re right, he’s done all that before.

As a die hard Dolphins fan I hated Brady for years but now I appreciate his greatness and realise how lucky I am to have watched an all time great. The sport won't be the same without him.

And I respect him even more for not mentioning the Pats in his retirement post.

Best walk off final season ever stat-wise in any sport? Struggling to think of a better one.

Finally... the real NFL may begin!

Yeah strange, although I suppose he said what he wanted to when he left the organisation. Would’ve been nice to shout out BB though.

Like, if I retired after 22 years of working, 20 of which was with incredible success before moving to another place for 2 years, I would definitely at least thank that first place even if my major thanks went to the second because I had already thanked the first when I left. It is odd, in my view. And perhaps suggests more animosity than we are led to believe. But who knows!

7 rings, ~85k yards, and 624 TDs won't be matched by anyone in our lifetimes imo. The fact that he got another ring at age 43 and averaged nearly 5k yards at ages 43/44, with 83 TDs is truly mindboggling.

The rings are unlikely to be broken but the passing stats will.

They're just so grossly inflated now that modern QB's will have a huge edge on his early years. Also looking at Rodgers and Brady both it's looking like it's going to be the norm for QB's to play well into their 30's if not 40's. They just don't get hit like they used to.

Oh gosh... truly forgot about that
Here is another one though... Lance Armstrong & Usain Bolt.

Peyton Manning? Joe Montana in football?
Manning got his ring but the general feeling there was "he got out just in time", while the question with Brady now will rather be "how many years could he have been leading the league in yards and TDs?", completely different imo.

Definitely not Armstrong who was average in his Astana/RadioShack comeback.
