I find myself rooting more and more for the Saints - mainly because I love watching Kamara though, and also because their whole team plays with so much passion imo. This Sunday as well, think they also mentioned it on GMFB, they just like being an underdog and you rarely blow them out of the water.

The Texans are such a shitshow that you can't be anything else than apathetic when you are watching them. That, and of my three favorite players, 2 were traded to the Cardinals and one is potentially a very big scumbag so there's also that.

Do we expect any more big trades this week?

Can't see Michael Gallup staying at the Cowboys I expect him to get traded

The team reflects the city in many ways - very resilient, never down and out, always fighting etc.

You from NOLA?

Nah, I'm from London, but when you've been a fan of a team for so long, you eventually get to know a lot of locals, get to know to the city and build a connection with it.

Can’t claim to know an awful lot about them to be honest but initial reaction would be:

1. About time they look to get rid of Fangio
2. Another defensively minded HC feels questionable
3. Bevell makes some sense if they’re going to bring in an elite QB

Overall, meh, my enthusiasm is on the floor at the moment.

I'd say they got rid of any chance to get Rodgers or Wilson the moment they traded Von Miller away. Apparently also looking to ship Kyle Fuller off at the moment. Seems like they are entering a full rebuild mode, don't see why Rodgers at 38 years old would be interested in that while he could e.g. take over from Big Ben in Pittsburgh with a stacked defense.

Dunno about that tbh, Fuller hasn’t really done much since he arrived so moving him on makes sense and the wider Defense is absolutely stacked with talent even without Von, it’s just been ravaged by injuries this year and suffered with utterly utterly incompetent dogshit playcalling and coaching.

In regards to Quinn, even though he’s a defensive guy there seems to be a sentiment to not go after a 1st time HC after the last few disasters. That’s why I thought Pederson will be a name to watch.

Von was probably leaving anyway due to his contract situation; getting those picks was a huge boost. Fuller has been shit and can’t even start over a rookie. Denver is in a much better situation overall than Pittsburgh.

Oh shit Henry Ruggs. DUI resulting in death. There are much larger consequences of course, but that's him done.

In an email, a police spokesperson confirmed the crash involved a Chevrolet Corvette driven by Ruggs and a Toyota Rav4. Investigators believe the Chevrolet crashed into the rear of the Toyota, which caught fire.

Firefighters responded and one person was found dead in the Toyota, police said.

Ruggs stayed at the scene and showed signs of impairment. He was taken to UMC for treatment and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

feck me how fast was he going

Jesus, he'll get the book thrown at him for sure.

The law in Nevada states that if a person is convicted of DUI which causes substantial bodily harm, or death, in another person, it is a FELONY offense. This is true even if the person charged has no criminal history whatsoever.

The charge for DUI causing substantial bodily harm or death is a category “B” Felony, which is the second most severe level of Felony in Nevada law. In this instance, such a crime is punishable by imprisonment in Nevada State Prison system for a minimum term of 2 years and a maximum term 20 years. It also carries a fine of between $2,000.00 to $5,000.00. More importantly, DUI causing substantial bodily harm or death is a non-probationable offense, meaning if you are convicted, you must go to prison.

He's going to jail.

He's a rich and famous person who can afford the best lawyers, it wouldn't even surprise me if he completely escapes a prison sentence. That said, what a fecking imbecile, driving impaired in the middle of the night, and not exactly at regular speed either if the pictures are anything to go by. Feck sake why do these young promising athletes make such dumb decisions.

Can't agree with that, especially since Pittsburgh has Tomlin and Denver has Fangio. Might obviously change depending on who comes in to replace him (if anyone at all), but the foundations to succeed are much more present at Pittsburgh than Denver imo.

Never know, Leonard Little never went to prison despite being intoxicated and killing a mom/wife then getting another DUI a few years later. Instead, he got to play in two SBs and later earned a huge contract.

Little killed her months before my friend in college lost his brother to a drunk driver. My friend never recovered and ended up dropping out of school and cutting off all contact with his friends. His brothers killer killed 2 people that night, it's just that one of them kept on "living" for a bit.

I've ranted before on here, but anyone who drives drunk is scum. There is absolutely no excuse for it and I have broken off friendships with people who brag about "getting away" with it. Ruggs should be sent away for 10 years at least.

Well, I’m assuming a coaching change but… Skill positions advantage: slight Denver, OL: Denver, Defense: slight Pitt, GM: Pitt, Cap space: Denver

I‘m taking Denver there as a QB barring a poor/non-existent coaching change.

What an absolute moron. So awful. I hope his status and wealth does not spare him from the severe punishment he absolutely deserves. Not only was he DUI, but driving at that speed to cause that much damage and harm… just fecking despicable.

Jaylon Smith released by Green Bay. That didn't last long.

Jaylon Smith cut by the Packers after just 2 games. He is going to find it difficult to come back now surely.

Fascinating prospect to watch too, at least he was until Mel Kiper cursed him by moving him up to #4 overall just prior to him wrecking his ankle.

The only positive thing (other than Helton being fired) at USC this year, so of course he broke his ankle on the weekend.

Amazing player who should score red zone TD's for fun.

Giants-Chiefs - Man you must be bad when youre struggling to beat even the Giants. And how many times has Kansas fumbled this season? There seems to be 2 or 3 a game, must be some sort of NFL record. Shocking.

Damn that would have been an interesting move.
