NFL 2021

That Vette probably acted like a giant wedge with its low front end slamming the engine block under that Rav4, right? If cars can act more or less like a weapon, that thing is an assault rifle. I’ve driven orders of magnitude more than anyone should, and I’d still be on my toes the whole time in a Vette.

That aside, if I was making that bank I’d have a driving service on hand even if I was not drinking or getting high. Especially in Vegas, which has to be one of the easiest cities in the whole got-damned world to have a professional driver haul you around in a Benz at any time.
Didn’t Riggs’ car impact the Toyota from behind?

feck me sideways. What type of road was this? A gun? And over the limit. Get this man behind bars.
I just looked on Google maps, it’s a big road in a fairly built up area, that kind of speed is utterly insane. I’d wager the limit is 35mph.

Apparently this is what's going on with Rodgers:

Rodgers, 37, petitioned the NFL to have an alternate treatment that he underwent before he returned to the Packers that would allow him to be considered the same as someone who received one of the approved vaccinations, sources told ESPN. After a lengthy back and forth, the league ruled that Rodgers would not get the same consideration and would be considered unvaccinated.
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers tests positive for COVID-19, source says (espn.com)

Dude could have just got vaccinated, but nope he had to do some alternative, and no way FDA approved, shit. Moron.

He doesn’t help himself does he. I read he can’t even return to the facility until next Saturday - so is he also a doubt for Seahawks?

What is it with those high profile athletes and their dumb beliefs in alternative medicine? Rodgers, Djokovic, Thiem, just a few that immediately come to mind.

What the feck is this. They didn't wanna trade him, surely they are not cutting him either?

Nah, it probably was 45, potentially 55 if it is a main artery, especially if it is multi-lane. Still doesn't justify a speed limit almost three TIMES faster than posted.

e - 45.

I’ve driven around Vegas loads and was trying to think of the limits, it’s a three lane road but it’s around retail parks and there’s the likes of BK drive thru etc around there, I’d be surprised if it was 55mph, but like you say it could be fecking 70 and it would still be unconscionable.

This is the juncture of the incident apparently.

I'm guessing the only "mitigating" circumstance could be if the woman in question was also partly at fault for the crash, e.g. she ran a red light or something. Not sure how it works in the USA / Nevada.

That kind of speed though, coupled with being impaired. Maddening stuff.

So Rodgers is also an idiot. Little disappointing, but here we are.

Just found it - 45mph.

Wasn't she at a stop light stationary?

If the reported speed is true, that's murder for me. If you drive a car like this, you're doing it knowing someone might die.

You guys think he took the horse dewormer? Because i kind of think that's what Rodgers did to immunize.

My guess, because he petitioned to be classified as vaccinated, is that he did some sort of polyclonal antibody infusion or some other stupidity that someone convinced him was "just as good as vaccination". I still see people posting all over Social Media that being infected provides better protection than vaccination. It doesn't.

Guessing at that speed and impact concussion the woman was likely knocked unconscious, possibly killed instantly, and guessing the dog was likely killed on impact. I cannot begin to imagine just chillin' at a stop light and seeing a car (with/without headlights on) in my rearview mirror approaching and wondering if they're gonna slow/stop. Or worse yet not even seeing the approaching vehicle. The incident angers me.

Life with no parole and not a year less

Yeah at this point it's not about the alcohol it's about Ruggs being an absolute weapon. If you're driving at 156 mph on a local road you have virtually zero control over maneuvering, stopping distance...

I honestly don't know how he walked away alive. Hopefully they throw the book at him in criminal court and raid his pockets in civil.

An "alternate treatment"? Alternate to the vaccines developed by the best scientists in the world with endless resources?

I'd love to know what he (his representatives probably) said to the NFL when asking for his homeopathic treatment to be considered equivalent. "Aaron has spent a long weekend in a wigwam having a homemade gunk of honey, nettles and cowshit rubbed all over his body. That's as good as AZ, Pfizer, etc".
