The Benjamin trade makes sense to me. The mix isn't right in the receiving corps. Funchess and Benjamin are very alike, big and strong but not necessarily quick and Greg Olsen is on his way back. A threat in the short game. McCaffrey is another added option in the short game. The lack of speed and deep threat since Ted Ginn left needed to be addressed and this should award more snaps to the likes of Curtis Samuel.

Benjamin is a lot better receiver than Funchess though.

This. And it’s not even like Benjamin is old. It’s very strange to get rid of a top notch WR who is a real endzone threat.

This whole thing with Zeke's suspension being challenged/upheld/rechallenged etc etc etc through the courts is so fecking stupid. Same with when Brady did it.

The governing body of the sport bans you under their own rules that should be the end of it. It's not a fecking criminal case for Christ sake, the courts have real shit to be dealing with.

No drinking game would help in this situation buddy. Just face it the reality mate.

3 and out - take a swig of beer
Fumble - take a shot
Interception - double measure
Pick six - 3 fingers of whiskey
Broncos 1st down - Glass of recovery water
Broncos FG - sit out next alcohol round
Broncos TD - snack of choice

Brilliant. But I think you need one more one - Broncos Passing TD. Now, the reward would need to be equivalent to the likelihood of it occurring, so something like...

Osweiler passing TD - buy a 70 inch 4K TV.

You aint going to be getting too many snacks.

Also missed FG = a shot of vodka

Also

Anyone see that the Browns were going to trade in for AJ McCarron, but didn’t go through since they were late with paperwork?

Bloody hell, they even suck at trades

First Take clowns were saying the rumor is the Browns staff was too busy celebrating and didn't call the league office before 4pm. The Bengals had placed their call around 3:55pm and the league was waiting for the Brown to call.

Sounds kinda like the Herrera snafu in 2013 (i.e. last minute failure), albeit a bit different in how the sports work.

What games are on sky on Sunday 5th November? I looked on website and it did not have any games listed.
I know Broncos @ Eagles is the early game.

The usual NFL page didn't show so I went to the full sky listings and scrolled down to the sports channels on Sunday. I'm on my phone at the moment so can't link but just Google sky television listings.

edit: Kansas @ Dallas is the later game.

Thanks buddy, as an eagle's fan happy we are the early game. I am a little worried by Denver's pass rush defence.

I'm wondering, do people still think that Elway is a genius? I mean, that QB situation is wasting badly a great defense.

He's definitely made a mess of the situation, although cap space has been a factor. He traded up to draft Lynch in the first round last season and that's not achieved anything yet, and there were QBs available this year if Lynch isn't upto it, although we definitely needed Bolles in the first round.

He should have gone after Romo imo.

To be honest, if you guys beating us wasn’t nailed on, it is now. I’ve super jynxed it all day today.

Don't worry, you'll smash us.

We will see on Sunday, been an eagle's fan for 30 years now and have only been to 1 super bowl in that time. Which we lost, so I'm hoping we have a good run this year, it's about time. I am worried by our O line and our secondary not to mention losing Hicks was a major blow.

Colts have placed Luck on IR.
Which might be the best for the team. The Colts could need as many high draft picks as possible. Except for Luck and maybe Hilton, there is absolutely no real talent on that team. If it weren't for Luck, this would be the worst roster in the league. Sad to see how they are wasting such an exciting QB.

Exciting ... but also overrated. Don’t get me wrong the potential is there but really he isn’t the saviour everyone thinks he will be for the Colts IMO.

A while back I read an article about why the Colts should trade him. Basically his perception and his actual tangible results / performance right now are still vast. He could easily command a bunch of high round picks.

Even more so now with Brisset, the Colts might be better taking that option and really getting some actual talent on all the other positions.

I heavily disagree. Just go back to his first seasons, before the lack of an o-line caused him thousands of injuries. He took a team that was 2-14 and didn't get any real reinforcements to the playoffs. He immediately put a team that was absolutely horrible on a whole different level. Throughout those years, he was the sole reason they were competing. Not once did he have a good o-line or running game at his disposal. The defense was always outright horrible. Yet, they made the playoffs.
Luck is special. But stuck in a complete mess of a franchise with maybe the most clueless and incompetent owner in the whole league.
