Jets are sabotaging their chance at getting a top young QB. Pretty typical of the franchise actually!

 Zeke eligible to play again this weekend. This is the biggest clusterfeck I have ever seen. Why do they even bother anymore?

So Zeke can play again...

He should take his suspension now & get it over with.

Even the NFL is subject to the law (sometimes) so the legal process will get followed. So the court ruled the suspension can't start until after certain legal proceedings take place.

They need to clear out this nonsense at the next collective bargaining agreement. Evidence for domestic violence related suspensions need to be transparent, and vetted at a "clear and convincing" standard, which is higher than preponderance of the evidence standard which is bullshit. Allow for a transparent process where players can challenge evidence and witnesses.

So sick of this soap by now. Is he even guilty? And how is the length of the ban decided? I thought Adrian Peterson got a whole season for domestic violance.

Josh Brown, the Giants kicker got one fecking game even though he admitted to abusing his wife more than 20 times.

Don't know if he is guilty but the court decision actually has nothing to do with that it is just a court ordered postponement of the suspension until the next scheduled hearing.

Yeah I know, but why doesn't the league just wait until they're 99% sure all legal proceedings have taken place? Just seems a bit pointless to me the way they're going back and forth at the moment.

He's actually still suspended though since no club has signed him I think he can't technically serve it. I think once the NFL knew about all the incidents it added 6 games to the suspension (or at least once they additional evidence became public).

Because the only reason there is a legal case going on is because they suspended him. why would Elliot be fighting the NFL in court if they did not try to suspend him?

And if he didn't do it? It's his reputation and if he is innocent then he should do anything to fight against this.

It's a horrible thing to be accused off and considering the Police twice found the girlfriend unreliable and no case to answer for iv never understood how the NFL could find him guilty despite not speaking to him or the girlfriend

The NFL can suspend someone on less evidence then is required for a prosecution. The two things are completely separate.

I believe the NFL was in contact with the accuser and did receive statements from zeke ( see the article I linked)

I also think the Ohio prosecutors did believe most of the accusers story but felt they lacked the evidence to get a conviction.

Same as they can suspend someone for failing a drug test without the person ever facing any legal charges for said drug use.

Elliott is clearly an asshole and should have just taken the suspension and then focused on his football going forwards.

Didn't know you know him personally , If he didn't do it why should he say he did and take the punishment?

Didn't he forcefully expose a young womans tit last year ?

I'd say that's putting him close on the path to asshole, if not firmly there already.

Does that mean he should admit to beating up a woman if he didn't do it ?

Fournette inactive after violating team rules.

How stupid can you be.

Going to hide in here for a while. Just realized Zac Ertz is out. Am thinking Broncos can win this.

I think Elway needs to do something to trade up and bring in the best QB of the 2018 draft.
