Can't understand this trade from the patriots point of view , makes absolutely no sense to me . With the number of hits that Brady has been taking this is a huge risk for a second round pick

Wtf we trade Jimmy G?!

Now who is the backup? Also they must be really confident Brady is staying for 2 more seasons.

Think it was a case of

1. We might use the capital to find a defensive front player (god please let this be the case)
2. BB’s thinking kinda could be “well if Brady got injured our season would be screwed anyway given our offensive injuries and defensive problems so might as well get something for Garropolo”

I think they realized they wouldn't be able to keep Jimmy after this year - with so many teams in search of just a decent QB, there is no way they could match offers he would've gotten from several other teams while also keeping Brady (who has already restructured his contract multiple times). They drafted him in the second round and get a second round pick for him now, so decent business by the Pats imo.

In a league so bereft of capable QBs at the moment, Garoppolo has shown enough in his few starts to make GMs believe he could be the next big thing or their franchise QB. Shanahan has half a season left to figure that out now.

Would be nice if we could improve the D.

Still surprised though he got traded. The hooded one seems to do this at least once per season. Wish Jimmy the best & I think he’ll suit the type of offense Kyle wants to run & will do well.

With good timing, tickets can often be had on Stubhub.

I'd be wary of package deals, I'd prefer freedom in the matter. Try staying in the hotel that the visiting team is staying in or a nearby one that will be hosting loads of media. Find out where the after parties are. It's good circus.

Edit: the most interesting stadium atmospheres won't often coincide with the most interesting cities to visit, KC and GB for example. On the east coast, I'd say...NE/Boston if you want to catch a NBA game too? There's also NY; Madison Square Garden is always fun even if the franchise is terrible.
Cheers for the advice. Saw the Knicks quite a few years ago when Marbury, Crawford and David Lee were playing and they even won a game!

Just read some of Joseph's comments and I'd be surprised if Siemian started against the Eagles.

Question is, Brock or Lynch?

The only reason you start Brock would be if Lynch is injured I think.

Unless you’ve lost all belief that Lynch is your future. In which case you’d go Brock. But I can’t imagine you guys could have reached that conclusion on Lynch.

I would hope not, but Brock has been the backup with Lynch inactive and in street clothes which would suggest Brock is ahead in the pecking order.

We've got Eagles on the road then you lot in Denver the next two games which we're nailed on to lose them both and be 3-6. After that he may as well throw Lunch in no matter what and give him the chance to do something.

We were having Hoyer in return but put a stop to it due to compensation picks - think he's getting cut and we'll pick him up

No way are we nailed on to beat you.
And yeah odds are on for Eagles to beat you that’s true.

If Lynch is injured then of course has to be Brock. Then it boils down to whether you see Brock as a long term solution. Yes, then he stays in no matter what. No, then you might as well throw in Lynch when and if playoff hopes look to be gone.

Nah you'll definitely beat us. Our offense is basically broken.

If I remember right it was the same fixture last year where it kicked off in the dressing room afterwards because our D had held Brady and co to something like 16 points and our offense still couldn't step up and win the game.

It'll be the same this time at best.

The last paragraph there is where I'm at, and Brock is 100% not the long term solution, so throw Lynch in asap as far as I'm concerned. Hell I'd give Chad Kelly a shot but I think he's ineligible for the season.

If there’s any D which will give you a good chance it’d probably be ours! Although we haven’t gotten better last two games. We also do tend to struggle at Mile High.

I certainly wouldn’t say we are guaranteed to win. Stop trying to purposely reverse jinx this situation

Osweiller came on for a bit a couple of weeks ago against the Giants and has far more experience than Lynch, so I would expect him to start if Joseph does indeed make a change.

It’s not about experience NOW though. It’s about where you plan on being going forward IMO.

I've not seen anything in Lynch to suggest he's better than Osweiller, which is why I'm guessing the latter is ostensibly now 2nd on the depth chart since Joseph played him on a series against the Giants when Siemian briefly left the game. That said, Lynch is still listed as 2nd on the official depth chart, but I'm guessing that hasn't been updated.

 I wish that's what it was!

Yea I was there :(

Lynch was, I believe, still injured at that point, he's since returned to training and as @rpitroda says it's more an issue of planning/testing than immediate impact given our current position.

I’m purely giving my view on what the Broncos should do. In actual fact I can’t say I’ve followed the specifics of this in enough detail to give an informed view on what Joseph will actually do.

British running back Jay Ajayi from Britain will soon be British running back Jay Ajayi of the Eagles.

For a fourth round pick

Wow so happy with this trade , I can't understand how this happened but it makes our offence even more stronger .

Apparently there are major concerns about his knee . It is worth the risk for the eagles though with a 4th round pick and he is on a very small contract
