Thanks.:) Makes some sense.

Feck off jveezy!

Essentially, look for the yellow lines. They have to get the ball past that. They get 4 chances to do it, as soon as they do it it resets and they start again with the yellow line moving further up the field. If they fail after 3, they will smash it up the other end so the other team starts further back and has further to run.

They will either run it there, and possibly get tackled, and start the 'getting it to the yellow line' from that point, or the quarter back will throw it to someone who will either catch it, or the pass will get intercepted and the other team will have posession.

But you might miss "T-Time" then! TV3+'s coverage is fecking shit. Wish TV2 Sport still had all the games.

Highlight of tonight so far was when their fancy touch-screen for QB comparison was dodgy as feck. Most pointless thing ever.

I've been watching it so far on TV3+. Got the Viaplay subscription since it's cheap as hell and caters to me and the gf. But I've been watching NFL the previous years with my brother who has the NFL gamepass. That stuff is gold.

Very important drive coming up. Sloppy start from the Patriots, Brady needs to take control of this game.

I'll add to that. Some times teams will go for it on 4th down, when they only need a yard or they have to score, thats when things get fun.

Heres the big 3rd down play from Eli Manning of the New York Giants in 2008

What's the HT entertainment?

So I take it they're not allowed to pass it sideways like in rugby..

End of the first quarter. Dominated by NY, sloppy mistakes by Patriots but Brady looks like he is ready to respond and hopefully we'll get a TD off this drive.

I really hate Tommy Kjærsgaard or whatever his name is! Just something about him.

Agree about the comparison board, pointless shit!

You can pass sideways but it's rare in the NFL unless it's a designed play to trick the defense. If they pass sideways/backwards it becomes like Rubgy in that they can do that as many times as they want in the 'down' but you are only allowed to make 1 forward pass each 'down'.

They are, but ball possession is very important, and a backwards pass is live just like in rugby so it's an easy way to lose the ball if you're not careful. If you throw the ball forward and its dropped, the play ends and you start the next one, so that's a lot safer.

Have to settle for the FG. Defense now needs to stop them.

I think the fact that he's a pretentious little cnut is the "something" you're looking for. Levysohn is the only one I can actually stand - he's quite decent I think. The rest are absolutely useless. Tommy is by far the worst of them though.

Pats on the board, for WR if you're reading and still confused, that was the 4th time they tried to make it past the yellow line, they had the choice of either accepting they weren't going to do it, or trying one more time. If they tried 1 more time and failed, it would be the other teams turn to advance, or they might have pulled it off. The other option is to concede you're not going to do it, if they were further back they'd have belted it down the field, but since they were so close to the end zone they tried the kick through the posts and suceeded, and got points on the board.

You're good at this.
