Lazy & a cancer to the team. He's not the type you want around your players when you're trying to motivate them and pick them up from an embarrassing loss.

Pats release Haynesworth. Don't see the point in releasing him personally, its not like there is anybody they can get who'll improve them

He was doing feck all, so it's best to just release him.

Belichick seems to like Deaderick, and Ron Brace has come off the PUP list, so it's not like they don't have the numbers along the defensive line.

Haynesworth wont be missed, its almost a non story. I thought he had an impact on the Miami and Cowboy games but wasn’t exactly dominant. The Love Boat has been one of the surprising performers this year next to Wilfork anyway. Deaderick had a good game against the Giants and provided a decent amount of pressure without selling out against the run. Hopefully he builds on it as I don’t think they have got much burst out of Ellis in that spot.

Regardless, a serious injury to McCourty, Arrington or Chung and they are in trouble.

Even more trouble than being the worst pass defense in the league.

Belichick should get blamed for the defense, it was poor last year and has managed to get worse this year. I think we have a couple of picks in the first-round of the draft next year and hopefully we can get some good defenders for once.

I think Ocho will be cut soon, the guy looks lost on the routes and he hasn't been able to offer the deep threat I thought he would.

To be fair, I think he has got the blame just as he has deserved praise in the past. It is the same defense as last year in my mind, they have just been put in less favourable positions. At the beginning of the season, I felt they had more talent and experience aside from the safety position but circumstance has lead to the position they are in now. Haynesworth, Ellis, Bodden, McCourty, Dowling and Mayo have not reached expectations for various reasons and its had an impact. Doesn’t mean they cant turn it around and build on the positives there have been in some wins though. They are not going to turn into the 85 Bears but they need to complement the strength of their team, the offense. The problem is a lack of depth in the defensive backfield. Where I question Belichick is on the Sanders and Butler/Molden roster decisions.

Also, I’m surprised the defense has got more attention than the other side of the ball after the Giants loss. I see it as a team game but if I had to choose I would put it on them. First of all, 12 stunk up the field for most of the game. Even some of his completions were off... a low throw to Gronk on a crossing route comes to mind. He missed Hernandez in the end zone just before the half. Elbow problem or not, he was off and anticipating pressure when it was not there. Just because he remembered he was Tom Brady on the go ahead drive and clutch fourth down does not write off his performance prior to that. Or the fact that he missed Gronk on the goal line one or two throws earlier. Ocho’s rightly taking heat again but he was open twice, on the slant and also down the field. Brady took too long on both plays. Branch can’t get open against man coverage right now either. The defense played well for 3/4 of the game despite being put in bad positions and under pressure by the strength of the team. If they manage to put ten on the board in the first half it’s a different game. Not that I’m excusing the last two drives, I was hoping to see someone slap Sergio Brown in the face.

Terrific game between the Giants and 49ers, 49ers holding on for the win. Eli was impressive despite losing whilst the 49ers are a much better team compared to last year.

Pats need to win at the Jets later, can't afford to lose again especially against that team.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Dangerous game against Arizona next week. Starting to get things together at the right time, and hopefully the Niners don't overlook them. The so-called NFC Worst was 4-0 this week.

Carlos Rogers needs a contract offer tomorrow.

Ocho catches the ball! Then steps out of bounds without a defender near him.

Settle for the FG. Hopefully we'll win but the ease at which the Jets passed the ball in the first drive doesn't give me much hope.

Brady's been laying a few balls out there on a platter for the defense. Has he been doing this all year or is it just today?

20 TDs and 10 interceptions so far. He had like 4 interceptions all of last year!

really trying to force some throws

bogus personal foul call there

where has this pass rush been hiding all year.

come on Brady, put drive together

Some of Bradys throws have come out of his hand Chad Pennington post shoulder surgery 200 style. At first I saw people bringing up the elbow as excuse making due to some unusual play, not as certain now. Gonna need him to put some points on the board soon, McCourty having his shoulder taken off by someone on his own team is an issue.

I think the Patriots get the ball at the start of the 2nd, important to put some points on the board with that possession.

defense doing alright, we need to try and change the field position a bit. We're always pinned back.

Gronkowski stepped out of the endzone before going back in for the catch. But there was also a penalty flag thrown against a defender? Weird play.

Gronkowski stepped out of bounds in the end zone and he can't be the first player to touch teh ball when he re-establishes himself

the waved off the foul on the Jets because they said Brady was out of the pocket when the contact with Branch happened
