Nfl 2010-2011

Not sure about Branch coming back. Looks like they are going back to a dinking and dunking possession game. We'll see.

The Vikings are a joke right now

Surely not this season? :nervous:

Even Marcello doesn't think so.

The East is wide open but I think Dallas is a sinking ship right now. A win over Minnesota could turn things around but I fully expect Moss to blow past the Cowboys secondary per usual.

The problems in Dallas are as follows but not limited too:

Coaching
Offensive identity/play-calling
Defensive identity/in-game adjustments
O-Line blocking (too think they could have drafted Marcus McNeil but took flippin Bobby Carpenter instead :wenger:)
Lack of establishing a running game (too think they could have drafted Chris Johnson in 2008)
Pass rush is dependent on Ware
Corners have suddenly forgot how to cover
Tackling
Management

What about the kid from South Florida, Jenkins? Is he not playing well? I remember him from the 2008 draft process as the Pats seemed to have real interest in him. Belichick turned up at their campus and worked him and another cornerback out personally, which is rare. They did not have a pick at the end of the first round anyway, so did not really have a shot.

Edit: Just saw he gave up two pass interference penalties for 48 yards on a touchdown drive, got beat deep by Britt and dropped an interception. So I guess not.

Tomlinson is really showing explosion out of his cuts at the moment, feckin Jets.

HGH? Just coughing. This just has Roger Clemens written all over it. An old guy in a position where you skills decline as you age but we are seeing the opposite.

Just been 5 games, let's wait till the end of the season, so see how he finishes up.

Not to mention, a new team, new environment, plus being written off after the last season and a half, he might be running with a chip on his shoulder.

Or finally healthy. But I suppose it's indicative of the times that we automatically have to suspect any older player who is playing well of cheating.

His yards per carry were trending downwards, so I don't think people saying he's slowing down, or diminished as a player were being harsh, but, yeah I don't go along with the he's doped up angle.

I don’t even think it’s about his production so far, you can just physically see the difference right now as a casual observer of their games. He has been doing that little jump cut at the line of scrimmage for most his career but the explosion just was not there last year. He has also noticeably been turning the corner on defenders again, it must be health related. As BTV said its only five games in so it will be good to see how he looks after picking up a few knocks. Unfortunately, I see him carrying it on due to him sharing carries to keep fresh, his role as a pass catcher and the style of the Jets offensive line as opposed to what the Chargers were morphing into. fecks sake. On the drugs thing, I obviously hope not but to be honest a fair amount of NFL players are probably on something or another.

Im going to sulk if the Pats can't stop a fecking 3rd down!

I can't remember I saw consistently worse officiating in a game. Absolutely awful. 3 wrong calls already - all overturned from challenges.
Rubbish.

Jermaine Cunningham is playing well against Micheal Oher so far. A sack/forced fumble to his name and has also showed an explosive first step other times leading to a couple of Oher penalties. There have been no noticeable problems in setting the edge either on first watch, nice to see.

No running game at all - only on fake reverses.

Very frustrating.

Brady off target as well. Considering he could normally hit the nose off the queen on a stamp - the wind is affecting alot of his throws.

NE could always trade for Johnson or Asomugha to strengthen the CB position.

Or pick up one of their LBs.

Something.. Go on.

Its just so inconsistent, and I hate inconsistency! Not a good time to be a pats and united fan.

Bloody hell, bad stream.. Just thought I saw the Pats stop the ravens on a 3rd down.

Haven’t I seen that Pats receiver extend his route at the back of the end zone like that in the past?

Brady missed a couple of far more open receivers there. 3 and fingers crossed the D actually does something.
