Nfl 2010-2011

I get what you’re saying Championo, don’t think I would go as far as ‘anything beyond that is a jump ball’ though. He has had his inconsistencies since the knee injury but even prior to Moss he hit inferior playmakers on them now and again. The Denver game last year when he missed Moss on an angled throw towards the left of the end zone springs to mind. I don’t think pre-injury Brady misses that, even if Reche Big Eyes Caldwell was on the other end. He seems to be more comfortable so far this year and I did not mind the Cromartie pick, you take that shot every so often. Plus, it was on third down and pinned them inside the five I think.

Personally, I think pre Moss Brady throwing against things like the Steelers zone blitz scheme has showed his greatest attributes over the years. His recognition, accuracy and subtle movements in the pocket outweighed the need for big plays. I still believe the AFC title game against the 16-1 Steelers is the best performance in his career so far. He was not amazing statistically but the way he picked apart the best defense in the league in their home, with the weather being the way it was and being ill the night before was impressive. Coincidentally, I think he had a great 60+ yard touchdown pass to Branch in that game on a deep ball too.

Jay Cutler is out this weekend, not that, it's a surprise for anyone who saw the beating he took last weekend at the hands of the Giants...hahahaha.

Todd Collins will start.

Collins will be starting for me in a FF league I'm in (not the Caf one).

Stafford was my sleeper pick with Big Ben coming in from Week 6 onward. Of course Stafford got injured, and with it being a 16 team league I've been stuck with a clusterfeck mix n match of Jason Campbell, Brad Gradkowski and Jimmy Clausen. Depressing.

Talk of Branch returning to the Pats, apparently Brady's been in contact with him the past week (he knew of the Moss trade happening). Branch is meeting the Seahawks GM to discuss his future.

Would Pats fans like to see this happen, and do the Pats need it to happen given Welker's the only experienced WR now? Even if it does occur, I'd like to see more of Edelman, judging him on the Ravens game last year, he looks very impressive/talented.

Deion Branch back to the Pats? Would provide another target..!

Edelman is another extremely exciting player, similar to Welker. I'm exited by Brandon Tate. A ridiculously talented returner, but his speed and agility have allowed him to get good separation on the snaps he has been on for this year. We know how good Branch can be, and the fact Brady has been talking to him shows that Brady would obviously like him back to throw to.. Good to see Tate get some more reps though. Lack of experience is obviously an issue for the Pats..

But I am very, very excited about the future.

Some people think the Pats will be easy to defend against but I doubt it. With Moss all they could do was stretch the field, but the playbook has a lot of things for the #1WR to do.
Moss can still run explosively down the field and stretch the defense, but in using more two tight end sets, the Pats offense required a route runner, not a route stretcher. He did run a few quick slant and inside routes when he needed a contract, but since then nothing. His game has evolved into outside the numbers vertical routes, or deep over routes on play action. The Pats can now run their offense without limitations, without having to worry about getting the ball to Moss and, most of all, they can now utilize their entire offensive playbook.
Back in the days of winning superbowls, it was the rule that every wide receiver should be able to run every route in the playbook. Moss thinks his skills are enough to build an offense around and shits on any playbook he is given.
The only time the Pats got issues with people catching the ball was in 2006. Big eye Caldwell comes to mind.

Its odd. Supporting the Patriots, but also hoping that Raiders fail miserably, so we get the best possible draft pick next year..

The Chiefs are frustrating. Two straight momentum killing Bowe drops after a Manning interception.

Colts with a rushing TD should be enough for the win. The drop in the endzone by Bowe was devestating for the Chiefs, Cassel threw 7 straight incompletes after that (although 3 were dropped).

Manning's been shit today, been bailed out with a couple of good catches by the receivers.

what a shit end to a drive for the Skins.

last set of downs were horrible, and then the FG was no good...that's all she wrote I think.

FG missed by the Chiefs, their second half summed up when the holder was not even on the field.

Colts lucky to win this game.

RAC really has the Chiefs young defense playing well so far and they are a young unit who will grow together. The Parcells/Belichick scheme is often criticized for not being aggressive enough and ‘more bend but don’t break’ in nature but if it is ran correctly by smart players, its still effective.

Sometimes its easy to put up receiving numbers when in a hole but once again, Brandon Lloyd? Seriously?

Seriously. Manning and Wayne held without touchdowns. Should've started Mason instead of McCluster. Finley injured.

Do you want to know how bad my fantasy week is? I'm relying on the 49ers to make up the gap.

I only have Rivers left to play! British fantasy league are not like yours though, I warn you. Our are more like Salary Cap football..

Raiders 12-0 up.. 2 blocked punts for a safety and a TD.. No! Pats get their draft pick!

Nice drive by the Raiders, 24-22 to Chargers

TD Raiders. Rivers looked like he was in the process of moving his arm forward, so the commentators (and I) thought it's an incomplete pass, but its ruled a fumble and the TD stands (obviously they'll review it)...

Ruled a fumble, Rivers' arm was not moving forward. Raiders with the TD and now lead 35-27.

I remember the same thing happened with the Chargers a few years back, but that time the refs got it wrong and the Chargers ended up scoring the winning TD (should've been a fumble turnover, ended up being ruled an incomplete pass).
