Nfl 2008-2009

No I respect Thomas a lot, he has been a very good player over the years who has long since proven himself; but it's his heart and work ethic that made him what he is more so than talent. I repsect him a lot, but not HOF quality, not even close

He'll be in the HOF. But my argument was that he obviously has talent or wouldn't be in the PB 7x, voted a 7x AP All-Pro, the Dolphins all-time leading tackler, AFC Defensive ROY in 1996, etc. He obviously works hard, so does/did all-time greats like Lewis and Singletary. Jerry Rice had the greatest work ethic of any football player but he had exceptional talent too.

Oh, and this interesting fact - he has more career tackles than any LB currently enshrined in the HOF, and fourth most all-time.

I'm feeling if Gradishar wasn't a former Bronco you wouldn't mention him. Unfortunate that he's not in the HOF but that's how the NFL often works. Paul Krause, the all-time INT leader, waited nearly 20 years before he got in the Hall. Drew Pearson had more receptions and yards than Swann and was Staubach's go-to guy for years yet he's not in the Hall.

Come on tackle statistics are total bullshit Marcello; I seriously doubt he will make the HOF

Also, even though it says that on his wiki page, it then says he is 4th behind, guess who:

Gradishar - 2,049
Jessie Tuggle -1,809
Seau - 1,552
Thomas - 982

As I said there are better players in line in front of him

“If you ask me to name the five best linebackers I played against, or had a chance to cover in my broadcasting career, Randy Gradishar would be on that list . . . There is no question about his credentials; Randy Gradishar belongs in the Hall of Fame

-Merlin Olsen(and the man knew his shit, I mean he hung out with Ron Burgundy on the weekends)

Anyone know if the Patriots game is on Sky Sports tonight?

That would be spendid if you dont mind mate. I struggle finding decent streams!

Check your PMs pronto, don't miss the links to the games I PMed you with. The links they give die after about 15/20 seconds.

Brialliant, thanks alot mate. Pats are on at 9 anyway, so will have to wait til then! Missed what was on Sky Sports by about 5 seconds!

Brandon Jacobs is an absolute beast, who I happen to dislike greatly.

Miami are outplaying San Diego at the moment as well. Tomlinson seems a different player so far this year.

Hmm, still cant see what is on where. Might have to be Justin.tv again, cant seem to get that site to work you gave me earlier Nanderson.. :(

Thanks anyway pal.

wow. Houston shit the bed against the Colts. But in a way it`s good as it`s just papering over the cracks for the Colts. Anybody can run on them.

on another note, the Patriots defence is getting abused by a poor team for the second game in a row. Where are you Seymour, Wilfork etc?

No idea. Got a crappy stream at the minute, can just about make it out.

Will be a high scoring game though whatever happens.

Muller you should have a look into that NFL Game Pass thing on the NFL website.

I have, but I was inbetween jobs, and now I am waiting for my pay day. So i am mkaing do and watching when I can on Sky Sports..

No worries, and yes it was a shit of a thing tonight. feck all was working on the site, and I only got to see about a quarter of my Bears game, less than that if I'm talking actual quality. Almost had a fit I was so frustrated!

Hopefully it will be better next week.

This is the Cowboys I've become accustomed to the last couple seasons. Typical shit performance against an inferior team, allowing the opponent to gain momentum and belief. Hogwash. It all started with Romo's fumble late in the 2nd quarter. I sensed it from there. Now a fecking interception after the defense finally held Cincy to a three-and-out.

My club is over-hyped.

NY Giants are probably the best team right now

Hilarious Dallas could lose this game, the Bengals just got an onside kick

Watching Adam Jones plays defense underscores just how good Terrence Newman is and how important his health is to this season.

Fumble!!! Dallas get the ball back. Now go score a touchdown you over-hyped fecks!

Patrick Willis is all over the field in the Pats - SF game. Ridiculous closing speed and instincts.

A seriously special player.

Good win by the Broncos today, played pretty poor but a win is a win, and defense showed up for once

Too bad he plays for a shit team because he is a special player. Imagine if he played for the Cowboys or the Giants, you would never hear the end of everyone saying how great the guy is. It is crazy that he is only 23 years old.

Yeah Willis has star written all over him, to think he could get a lot better is amazing hopefully he doesnt regress in the shithole of the NFL atm the Bay Area

Willis is the only thing we Niner fans can hold our heads up about. Him and Andy Lee, which is pretty bad considering he's the punter (but he's got one hell of a boot. Kicked an 82 yarder against NE but it went for a touchback so only 62 net).

Very good game for Reggie Bush last night. I would not want to be the Vikings punter today, he must not have too many friends in the locker room anymore.

The punt return where he ended up tripping up at midfield was probably the best funnily enough. He made about five guys miss.

He is an electrifying talent, whether the day when he can run the ball consistently comes or not.

I hope GLU is OK emotionally after last night's game. It must have been a pretty tough loss for him.

I dont think he will ever be an every down back

He made me very happy for about 20 minutes.

Reggie is very talented and incredibly athletic. Seeing him try to outrun the opposing defense when he could get more yards running vertically is frustrating. He's gotten better at running between the tackles, but I doubt he will ever be a traditional running back. He will always be most effective when he gets into space in the flat.

I'm still pretty pissed, but I'll be all right. I almost got into a fight and kicked out of the game though. Before I tell this story, I would like to say that all parties involved had consumed a decent amount of alcohol. There was a lot of Vikings fans at the Superdome, far too many for my liking. There were two packs of them sitting to the left of me and my friends and a few rows above us. They creamed their pants the three times the vikes got a first down or actually did something on their own instead of the saints simply handing them the ball or Ed Hochuli giving them a ridiculous call. We had some trash talk going both ways all game and it was mostly harmless, but after reggie ran back the first punt and the celebrations died down a little, one of the vikings fans above us said, "I hope that little bitch breaks his fecking legs." Naturally this annoyed us more than any usual trash talk. Then when reggie tripped on a later punt return, the same guy said, "Almost. Just one more cutback and that ACL is done." For the next few plays when reggie was in the game, the guy kept yelling, "Kick him in the knee." This annoyed the shit out of us and one of my friends told him to shut the feck up. The vikes fan seemed almost surprised and actually settled down for a while. When Reggie ran back the second punt for a TD, I yelled at the guy, "How's that dick taste, bitch?" This pissed the guy off and he actually stood up, started cursing at us, and said, "If you're such a hardass why don't you come over here and say that shit to my face." One of my friends was walking over there before we got him to calm down a bit. When Gramatica missed the field goal, a guy in that same group jumped and started celebrating and, in the process, spilled some of his beer on one of my friends (not the one I mentioned earlier). This ignited more arguing. A security guard came over and told us we would all get thrown out if we didn't "calm the feck down." The security guard stayed in our section until we left the stands. To add to the suckiness of the loss, it took an hour and 35 minutes for me to get home because of some ridiculous traffic leaving the Dome, usually it takes 40 minutes for me to get home after the games at the most. I blame the vikings fans. So yeah, yesterday was not a good day.

You should have fecked them up GLU, no one and I will not stand for people starting shit with me at Mile High

It came close to becoming a full-blown rumble. In a straight fight I'm pretty sure we would have stomped all over them. The security guard made sure nothing happened.

The security guards at Mile High would have joined in
