Nfl 2008-2009

Jesus that was a great catch by Bryant for a TD

So if townsend hadn't bothered to take to the field of play he would still of got the interception? Don't make me laugh, it can never be 100% the passers fault, townsend still had to make the play, if we called the wrong play then townsend could of been somewhere else on the field and the outcome of the play and the game could of been totally different. Not going to argue anyway, can't really be bothered arguing at a rate of one paragraph a day. If you still don't see my point then I guess I'll say your right if it will get you to go away.

Oh jesus christ, just give it up already. If you don't understand the game then don't bother posting about it.

The interception was the easy part for Townsend. The return was the difference. Even if he doesn't score a TD the Steelers just run out the clock and kick a FG. Very few players would drop that ball. I'd wager any other player in that exact position would have made the same interception just maybe not returned it for a score. If it's not Townsend in that zone then it's another defender.

LeBeau would have ripped his facemask off if he didn t make that play

marcello what are your thoughts on the current TO,Romo,Witten bitchfest in Dallas? Will TO still be there next year?

Fluff. He's happy when they win and the media has little to report. When they lose the media finds ways to create mountains out of molehills. That said, the players are on record saying they're tiresome of his act but that you can't back him into a corner or call him out because they will create far more harm. You'll have a Philly situation all over. So he'll finish this season and probably be cut in March. I'd rather they give his cap space to someone that wants to play and be a consummate professional, like Houshmanzadeh. Even Chad Johnson is a better teammate and I believe if CJ gets to a winning team he'll prove himself.

There's only one Saturday game scheduled this year... Dallas vs Baltimore. Not sure why there are no more this year. We usually have a good half dozen or so.

Only because on a Sunday I watch 3 games straight, then I am dead on Monday. A game on a saturday would mean a good late game with a lie in after..

BTW, Witten called TO out today after practice and TO said he wanted nothing of it and to go away and Witten said a few other things and TO had to be restrained. He's such a whiney ass who can dish it out but can't take it. He also apparently called Witten a derogatory term though it was not mentioned on the radio. I'm curious what he said. Because if it's a racist term I'd love to see how the NFL would respond because we know what would happen if Witten called TO a certain word.

MrMarcello beside all of the TO drama, how good of a player do you think he is now anyway having watched him more than me recently. Obviously he is talented physically, I am not saying he is not, but he has always had slightly above average hands and struggles to get off the line a bit more now. I think that of recievers of his type Fitzgerald has been the best for quite a while, would love to see him play in a market like Dallas.

Zona are keeping Fitz long term it is Boldin who will be leaving in the near future.

Dallas up 14-3, NYG dont look the same without Plax and Jacobs

Romo just got sacked for a safety looks kinda hurt his line didnt even move

As Madden pointed out, TO wanted out of San Fran and Philly but has never desired to leave Dallas. Could be he loves it there, could be he knows it's his last shot to play for a competing club with a big paycheck. Because if Dallas cuts him he'll find it hard to catch on with a competing club and he surely won't get some $5-10m per year. He could always play for Detroit or Oakland and languish in last place perennially.

Big win for Dallas. They needed that to keep pace with other NFC clubs. They have the tie-breaker over Tampa and I believe over Atlanta as well (based on conference record). But more importantly it just shows the Pittsburgh game was a blip, a fluke and not what I'm accustomed to in Dallas - late season collapses. If the DL can play like it did last night they will be difficult to move the ball on come January. I can easily see them winning their final two games and enter January on a streak. But I can also see them fecking it up somehow.

BTW, who out there still believes Merriman is better than Ware? The guy is the Defensive Player of the Year no doubt. Though a few others have good shouts too (Harrison PIT, Porter MIA to name a couple).

Where the hell is the register of interest for the international series next year? Was supposed to be up on Monday, then we were told Tuesday.... Still nothing!

Quite a few undeserving players on the Pro Bowl teams this year, in my opinion.

Based on reputation or talent rather than consistent performance this year.

Favre, Brooks, Brown, Gates, Peters, Waters, Willis maybe and a few more debatable ones.

I suppose you get that every year though.

so Keyser, muller..

do the Patriots make the playoffs or not? If I'm not mistaken, we're in a tight spot because the Jets and Fins have the tiebreaker on us for the division, and the Ravens have the tiebreaker for the WC spot. Assuming we win out, which I think we will, that means we need at least 2 of the other teams to lose a match. Jets/Fins play each other so that'll emliminate one, dunno who though. The Ravens are away to Dallas and at home to the Jaguars. They might easiy lose one, probably to Dallas on Saturday night. The Jets and Fins have two easy games on paper - away to Seattle and KC respectively. But maybe one of the two could pull an upset. The Seahawks played us tough at home and the fins in KC in the cold...maybe just maybe the Chiefs could manage to not choke away a lead. Plus Herm Edwards could be coaching for his job next year. So what do you think? I think we'll sneak in but I have no idea at the expense of who.

It could have been a much better weekend if Losman did not mess up and hold on to the ball too long against the Jets. That was a fecking terrible play; all they had to do was run out the clock. Lynch was gashing them all day long.

I think the Wild Card is the most likely option, still. I can see Baltimore losing one of Dallas or Jacksonville, the Colts losing out is also a slight possibility but I very much doubt it. Thinking about it that avenue would give us the best chance of success in the postseason as well as it looks like we would play one of the Jets/ Miami and the Titans instead of the former then Pittsburgh.

I see us winning the Arizona game due to the weather conditions; their away record, them not going all out last week and the fact Warner can be easily rattled. They are probably the team that I watch the most outside of the AFC East though so I can’t help but be a little worried defensively. Their receivers against our secondary, where Hobbs is the only consistent performer with Sanders likely out, is worrying. Karlos Dansby and Adrian Wilson are also among the most underrated players in the league.

I think this has been a good season considering all the circumstances whatever happens. Would be annoying to be 11-5 and not make it though.

Pennington got hosed because the media loves and the players recognize/respect of Favre. No way was he worthy of the PB invite. Cutler over Cassell or Pennington I'm not so sure of either.

There's no reason at all that Favre should be there. Philip Rivers should be for sure, he's the only reason SD are remotely competitive. Pennington has a better case than Favre, too. Cutler is slightly more deserving than Favre, but barely. There's a shortage of top QBs in the AFC.

Cutler's done it with no running game and no defense(meaning the Broncos were often behind and other teams could just sit back in coverage), which has certainly hurt his efficiency was surprised he got the nod but I will take it

Once again, Manning drags the Colts to victory by himself. MVP anyone?

Have you ever seen a team as bad at closing as the Jags.... :nono:

The only way Dallas can get a home playoff game is if they are the 5 seed and the 6 seed and them get through to the NFC Title game

The Giants already clinched the NFC East the week before last. You guys will create problems if you get in, this whole Plaxico thing has really messed up the Giants who seemed destined to repeat until a few weeks ago

I`ll be shamelessly jumping on the Cowboy bandwagon

Me too, I will be the biggest fan of Jerry Jones in the whole world, for the night.

Lets hope Romo and his back are protected. Brad Johnson throwing the ball near Ed Reed when I have interest in the result of the game is not something I want to see!

Dallas playing pathetic, Romo playing like an erratic version of Favre (or basically the Favre we see every other week). Losing 16-10 in the 4th quarter. I have no clue why on 3rd and 1 around the Ravens 20 they get cute and true a Romo option/pitch to Choice instead of plowing up the middle. Predictably, Choice bobbles, loses a yard and the Boys settle for a FG. No sense of urgency until the 4th quarter and it may be too late. Instead of scoring a TD on this drive and setting up a potential winning FG, they'll have to stop Baltimore and score a TD to take the lead or win.

They had Baltimore stopped on the previous possession only for Hamlin to muff a fumble recovery (he had it in his hands and lost it while rolling on his back, ball went right to Mason). Ravens scored a couple plays later. Those seven points are the difference in this game right now.

That fecking overrated, overpaid James drawing a personal foul call basically gifting Baltimore the game. Muthafecka. Can't stop them on third down and you won't win games that way. The fecks.

This must be how a Liverpool fan feels come every May...

That was utter shit.

Hamlin has fecked up twice now... muffed a fumble recovery, seven points. Misses a tackle, seven points. You piece of shit.

WTF? Austin untouched and looking like he might break one and just loses the ball on the kickoff. Dallas recovers, somehow.
