Nfl 2008-2009

Braylon Edwards is killing my fantasy team that is for sure. Sucks for Quinn that he will not even have a full week of practices to get ready for this game. At least he is playing Denver so he might be able to make some throws out there.
Just some random thoughts:
- Where will Anderson be traded in the offseason if Brady does good? Maybe Detroit?
- Is Anderson's trade value hurt now? I think a little
- What if Quinn sucks ass, will they reinstate Anderson? Definitely will create some divisions in the locker room

Didnt realize his first game was against my Broncos, he might do well hahahha

Instead of Bailey? I thought you guys had done pretty well with other runners to be honest. He has also been consistently good and made tons of big plays, the Brady - Bailey - Watson one in the playoffs apart of course. I am still convinced it should have been a fumble through the endzone! Second best cornerback in the league at this moment in time, I think.

I was there, drunk off my ass in a box yelling my head off that Champ was gonna intercept it and take it to the house missed by about a yard. Was talking so much shit after the game it was great.

That said Portis could have become the best back in the league he was perfect for the system Denver uses with the zone blocking. Some of his games v. the Chiefs when he was here where ungodly entertaining. He could have been scary good, but is still very good in DC

Pats vs Bills tomorrow. Huge AFC east game. I have high hopes, think the Bills have looked a little shaky in their last couple of games.

Yeah must have been great, there was not enough evidence for them to say it went through the end zone, it's still one of my favourite Patriot plays anyway for some reason. I remember being in shock that Brady made that mistake, he had been nearly perfect in the playoffs up to then. It was only 10-6 at that point as well I think: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6VKUSgHPm4E&feature=related

Come on Keyser, whats your prediction for todays game, you clever, clever man you..

Hehe no dodgy predictions this game Muller. I have only watched the Bills in full once this year, it seems strange not having played them yet so far into the season. Their team has changed quite a bit but Lee Evans still worries me the most, he is a very explosive reciever, their special teams are still supposed to be one of the best in the league as well. They have not won a division game yet so need this win, should be a good game.

Well, I think we will win, and win well too. From what I have seen from the Bills this year, they have given up a fair amount on the outside run where Green-Ellis has done well last couple of games, and over short throw defense (Wes Welker territory). I also think the Rams will beat the Jets, leaving us top of the division.. for now..

Hope so, they are ranked number twelve in the league against the run though. Probably due to getting Stroud in the team and also Posluszny back from injury. Schobel their best pass rusher and also Whitner are out though, which is good for us.

Yeah I saw that stat on total access too, about being ranked 12th. I ahev watched 2 full games of theres, and bits of others. They just seemed vunerable to the run whenever I saw them, may just have been the games I have seen.

Its game time. Got a sneaky tenner on the Pats to win by more than 3.5 at 21/20.

Come on Cassel, lets play like you did against the Broncos today. Welker, you just be your perfect self.

God I love Mayo. Fast, strong, agile. Great draft choice.

Jets 17-0 over the Rams. I shall not make predictions any more.

Steven Jackson is out for the Rams, he is basically 60% of their offense.

Would not say it is totally over yet anyway. I can see Favre making some mistakes, he has been mostly terrible for them.

Miami are also up, pulling off that wildcat stuff again.

Well, 20-10, happy with that Keys? I can understand their big Kick-off return, our lot had virtually switched off, think ahead our short gap till our thursday night game.

Lucky with that decsion with the onside, nothing clear in any of the videos I could see saying that a Bills player had touched it first. Anyway - Cassel, Welker and Moss all played well, typical Pats game this season, low scoring, long drives. Bejarvis Green-Ellis looks great though again. Keeps his legs moving, finds gaps - and notice his 3 longest gains? All on the outside - dont like to say anything but.. I am happy with my knowledge of the game. (Woo)

At least my Cowboys won't manage to feck up this weekend.

:lol::lol:

I had my mate going for ages. He hasnt got access to the internet at the minute, so I took advantage of his bad memory, and continually text him saying things such as ... Cant believe the Cowboys STILL havent scored today.... I think we might have to wait until next week till they score....

But giving no exact idea of what was going on, was a great couple of hours.

Decent game, Edwards looked a little scared in the pocket for them probably due to that concussion he suffered. Pretty good effort defensively, Evans was double covered most of the time and the recievers they had open could not come up with anything. The line also started out playing 4-3 and Lynch could not get going at all. I am still looking for a Mayo sack, forced fumble or interception though, it is all that is missing!

Cassel looks like he is still improving in every area except getting the ball downfield to Moss, though they did have a decent twenty yard come back at one point. He is putting the team in a position to win which is what matters. Welker is Welker.

The expected Favre mistakes did not come for the Jets, though it looks like the game was taken out of his hands mostly and they pounded the ball. Still quite confident about stopping him on Thursday, he is not playing well in their system, so far (:nervous:). Those six touchdowns against Arizona were fraudulent. However, to be fair they have quite a good defense and running game to fall back on.

Hmm...missing Harrison has made the Pats secondary younger and more athletic. They don`t seem to be getting burned as often. I like Green-Ellis, he runs really hard and doesn`t get injured!

Have to admit I am slightly worried about Thursday’s big game now.

Add an Adalius Thomas season ending injury to Brady, Maroney, Harrison and Williams. It is another blow which the team will have to cope with as well as they have the others, he played more defensive snaps than any player this season. I was hoping for another highlight reel Favre sack.

Just so happens one of my favourite players Ty Law has signed for the Jets again just in time for the game as well. He will mentor Darrelle Revis who is an excellent young player and is similar to him in some ways … :nervous:

that was an amazing finish to the game though

A dramatic pass deflection would've been a great finish. A run to the outside only to be tackled just short would've been a great finish. An ill-advised run with a third-string back against a bunched up defense that was totally expecting it? Not a great finish in my book.

This game was both exciting and incredibly annoying at the same time. I'm trying to stay positive because this game does show plenty of good signs for the 49ers, but it's so damn frustrating that I just can't do it right now.

If any of you NFL fans play Madden (08) on the Xbox 360 i could do with some help with the draft process, theres a thread in the entertainment forum

It was pathetic, what the feck were the n49ers thinking, why waste 30 seconds to spike the ball and then do two running plays when you could do four passing plays

Ouch, that hurt. What a play at the end of normal time by Cassel though, a last second touchdown to Moss to take it into overtime, with Law in coverage of course. 400 passing yards, three touchdowns and 62 rushing yards but on the losing side. The chance was there to stop them on third and fifteen on their overtime drive. Just could not make the play, it looked like blown coverage.

They were better in every area in the first half especially defending the recievers and I thought it was all over at 24-6. Moss was being pressed by Law with help over the top for the first half and he had no catches. They managed to turn it around after they made a few offensive mistakes early on in the second half though, hugely down to the two rookie middle linebackers.

Mayo is a special player who is going to be a star in this league. He was basically the one who made the chance for the last minute drive and overtime. He slammed Jones in the backfield on a goal line run from the one earlier in the game and then did it again on their next drive when the Jets were going for a first down to kill the clock and end the game. Ended up with 20 tackles in total and was hitting like a truck all game.

yeah, Mayo was shit hot last night. The other rookie LB is looking like a good little player too. I think whoever got the ball first in OT last night was going to win. But at 3rd and 15, you have to stop that.

basically I just repeated everything you said.

I fecking hate Favre. "I always felt in control of the game".

At least Cassel looked great last night, just been watching the game on Sky+. Moss in great form too. But yeah, Mayo.. fecking brilliant.

Get over muller, Cassel isnt fit to lace Favre's boots, but yes Favre is a prick

The Broncos win and the Chargers lose, things are looking up for Denver. Whoever the Bills fan is on here I just got tixs for the game against them at Invesco

Donovan McNabb is an idiot. He didnt know there were ties in the NFl, and then he now thinks that there are ties in the playoffs and the SuperBowl. haha

God I love Marion Barber and his running style, especially the way he closed out that game last night.

Can't see him having a long career though unfortunately. I wonder if Jerry is interested in a straight trade for Maroney!

Most running backs just dont hold up Keyser at least in Barber's case he has the strength but he does seem to pick up injuries as most fighting backs due. The most recent star running back to lose it has been LT who has fallen off quite some way this year.
