Nfl 2008-2009

Leg strength has never been his problem he could set the record if he had more accuracy, I could see him busting out a 70yarder one of these times the Raiders come to Denver

You do realize this has been on-going in the Bay Area for about a decade now. ;)

Yeah they have been shit since Steve Young retired; it's not like Dallas has won anything in past decade though :p

A bit less than that. The Garcia era was a bit of a return from the shadows and the fact that he's still playing well now for the Bucs and did the same as a backup for the Eagles shows that he can be a pretty good quarterback if he's used correctly but other than that there hasn't been much to be excited about. Two years of Dennis Erikson and four years of Mike Nolan have pretty much dug the team into a gigantic shit hole. Hopefully whoever they hire after they fire Nolan (cross fingers for Holmgren) will turn things around.

Either that or I hope they completely clean house and sell the team.

What's frustrating about this season is that they actually have been in a position to win in every game this season during the third quarter, despite how good their opponents are so they definitely have the talent to succeed, but the fourth quarter meltdowns show that they just don't have the mentality. It's really just a step above the shithole circus that is the Oakland Raiders organization but even that distinction is somewhat blurred by Oakland's win today.

Tonight - Patriots to live up to my wanting.

Pats 27 - 13 - Broncos

Cassell to finally become a non retard in the red zone, and Moss to shine. Welker to be his usual amazing underrated self.

Ty Law has reportedly expressed interest in playing for Dallas or Green Bay if either club contacts him. I wanted Jerry to sign him in the off-season, move Henry to FS and go from there. Law still has some game left in him. Dallas needs some help in the secondary with Newman out indefinitely, Jones' career most likely over, Williams on IR and Watkins out for a while.

"I just don't want to play for anybody,'' Law said. "I want to play for a contender, where I have the chance to go to the Super Bowl. I can help Dallas. I have the experience, I have been there before and I can help get a team over the edge."

"I'm not going to be a weak link for anybody and I'd love to try to provide some leadership for Dallas.''

Law, 34, said he would still listen to other teams, like Miami, if interested.

''It's not a money issue at this point,'' he said. "At this point, you just want to feel respected. But I'm ready to come in and help the right team.''

The Patriots have placed running back Laurence Maroney on season-ending injured reserve.

I think there is something else to this and it is not strictly the shoulder injury.

Lamont Jordan will have to step up for the rest of the season and stay clear of injuries.

Evening Keyser. Every Patriots game we talk

Am I right in thinking that Over 48.5 at evens is brilliant bet for tonight? Broncos with a great pass protection and a poor pass defense should lead to a high scoring game, even with Cassel playing and no Maroney..

I am not sure to be honest Muller, it is a struggle to know how this will be played without Brady. Shanahan is one of the few coaches who gets the best of Belichick. I am guessing we will try to run it, control possession and keep Cutler/ Marshall off the field like in the SF game, especially with Denver’s poor run defense. If so, it will be a lower scoring affair. However, if on defense we load up to stop the run and play man coverage with one deep safety as if James Sanders is friggin Ed Reed or something it could be big plays, just like in San Diego.

Ah Keyser. Will you be my mentor? It seems our main fault is the inability to cope with pace and agility and raw speed in our pass defense. Or am I seeing things?

If right, how does the Broncos receivers pace look?

Cutler, holding his hand in pain after the first play.. hmm, see how that one works out..

Run..Run..Run..Run??

Looks like it is just a stinger on his finger should be better in a few minutes

Fumble! Was a huge hit on Pittman in all honesty, haven't seen many big hits from Pats recently. So annoying sometimes the people standing on the sideline. From my view then, it looked like he had got over for the 1st down, but other side of a person standing on the line, there was a free ball.. :D

fecking A two fumbles for Hall already; that one was a hot potatoe

I think you could be right. Sammy MOrris is looking effective(tonight anyway).

Also, I`d take Ty Law for extra secondary help this season but I don`t think he and Bellicheck are on the best of terms.

Hines Ward's "block" on Keith Rivers, which might have drawn a penalty had it been a defensive player and certainly a fine. Ward led with his helmet which is illegal.

Morris is looking brilliant tonight. Can see a couple of long balls donw the middle to Moss at some point too.

23 sacks for the season. Is Cassel allergic to passing to Randy Moss?

yeah, he`s borderline dirty, Ward. You`re right, if the roles are reversed, that`s a fine and maybe 1 game suspension.

FFS Cassell - I may ask that for a tagline

feel the pressure, throw it away. Champ Bailey said they were coming after him as he holds on to it too long.

Dear Mr Cassel.

Whilst I do not agree with people who continually accuse proffesional athletes of being shit, I feel I must ask a simple favour of you.

Stop getting sacked. You run to the same identical spot every single time, and seem afraid to step up into the pocket.

Please sort this.

Regards,

Everyone.

PS, stop getting sacked.

2 great decisions by Bellicheck - to go for it and to keep it out of Cassell`s hands ;)
