We shouldn't touch this gremlin. He will be threatening to quit after 6 months if we don't build him a private beach complete with its own micro cimate on the Rochdale canal.

If we're paying that much it should be for someone who is the best player in the world. In a few years I wouldn't be surprised to see even Ousmane Dembele surpassing him.

Ugh replays of fat Sam celebrating. Disgusting.

Jose did quite well with Robben. The most attacking player in his dominant Chelsea side. Can't remember him being too much of a participant in the team's defending. But then again, they had the best defensive set up in Europe at the time.

Somehow, you're all forgetting Ronaldo years with Mou.

He's not a tough player, he doesn't like being kicked and his defensive effort is decent at best, but with Mourinho he was still scoring for fun and Mou knew what the other 10 players had to do to show us Ronaldo's best version

Is sport reliable?

No, never trust spanish media, even Marca is unrelieable and if we try to stablish them by credibility

1) Marca
2) AS / Mundo Deportivo (depends on their personal interests)
3) That woman in the carnival that said your future was in her cards
4) Sport

Barcelona won't look to sell and he signed a new contract this year. Meaning they'll only sell if his buy out is met, which is £180m. Not even Messi is worth that much.

Good shout.

Everything is possible, not likely, but possible. Maybe £80m and Martial? Not saying I want this, just making a point (not a good one, but still a point).

Not just Ronaldo, he also had Ozil, who is not much of a Mourinho type player, also starting games in the same team. So make that 9 players.

Agreed 100%.
I just don't think Neymar is the sort who will give his all for MUFC.
When he was young, he was hungry and got signed up Barca. This was his first big payday, so he worked hard.
I can see Neymar being worse than Di Maria, ie. signed purely for the money and no other reason.

I know you meant £80M, but swaps (+ money) almost never happen in football.
And they definitely never happen when dealing with World record transfers.
Furthermore, would Barca even want Martial? I don't think he is good enough to even make their bench.

In any case, I just don't think Neymar has the right mentality to fight against lower league teams for 3 points. Imagine what Neymar would be like against Stoke, in the Winter, for example?

Not saying it'll happen BUT Barca are in desperate need over an overhaul in players and going back to their identity which has been pretty much ripped apart by Luis Enrique so I can see a number of players being sold by Barca.

Of all their potentially big name sellable players you'd have to put Neymar on top of the list as he'd bring in the most money and of their front three is the least effective in you look at stats for goals and assists, Barca would sell Neymar over Messi or Suarez for sure.

Barca are said to be struggling a bit money wise in terms of giving their biggest stars new contracts and having any kind of transfer budget which is apparently why the Messi contract still hasn't been renewed despite ending in the summer of 2018 so Messi could leave on a free in a year and a half or buy out his contract which is surely worrying Barca.

Of all the teams Neymar could potentially join or could afford him we would surely be in the best position as we're the richest club in the world and have the biggest marketing machine around which are both things that would hugely appeal to Neymar as well as working under Jose, all we'd need IF Barca were to sell would be Champions League football.

If I'm honest I'd prefer Neymar over Griezmann simply because Griezmann means going to 4-2-3-1 as his days of playing from a wing are long gone and he's not effective there whereas Neymar thrives on the left side of a front trio, Griezmann means Mhkitaryan not being able to come infield because he and Griezmann would get in each other's space so of the two I'd prefer Neymar.

Neymar still wants to win Ballon D'or and World Cup.

He'd not be in love with the club but I reckon he'd work hard for 4 years at least.

Personally I think Neymar's mentality is generally excellent. I've seen him try to take responsibility quite a few times when his team isn't playing well, for both Brazil and Barca. He also had the mental strength to cope with a difficult first season at Barca as well as all the pressure Brazil's world cup brought.

As for the physicality of the PL, players about the same size of him have coped. David Silva is probably about the same size? Talent trumps physicality and Neymar has oceans of talent.

As for the Di Maria comparison, I think the key difference would be that we probably weren't ADMs first choice upon leaving Real with PSG rumored to have been his preferred destination? Whereas no other club would be in the running for Neymar and it would be entirely his decision to leave Barca. Also, as I said above, he may well be mentally stronger than ADM anyway.

He's fecking amazing is what he is

Also for those mentioning his ability to cope with PL. If hazard can cope with the fouls, so can neymar. He's bigger and physically stronger(a lot stronger. He's actually pretty strong in fact)

Have you actually seen him play? He's rarely outmuscled by players of his size and routinely holds his own against bigger, stronger players
Probably 100 games. That's because he falls down and cries like a baby (and gets freekicks this way) everytime he is touched. No defender dares to push him anymore, at least in La Liga

Yet the most fouled player in the Primera. When you consider how poorly Barcelona are reffed in Spain, that's an impressive stat

He actually doesn't go down easy unless it's in the box

Half of those "fouls" wouldn't be given in the Prem. Barca poorly reffed? Well, let's just say that my opinion is pretty much the opposite.

He goes down easier then Hazard :p. And he is crying around like a baby every time. This part he'd had to lose quickly in the Prem, otherwise a boo-concert is ready for him

Think you've got his first two seasons in mind instead of the last two. He really doesn't go down easier than hazard

As for boo-concerts...he already gets plenty of those in spain

No, i still watch him regularly, and i see him falling around all the time still. Part of those of course are fouls, but more often then not he goes down when he could've possibly stayed up. Just hate the mentality of those kind of players..he is one of the worst when it comes to cheating and playacting, one of the worst top players on the planet. No wonder there are boo concerts

Neymar said:
“The Premier League is a championship that amazes me,” said the big tease.

“I like the playing style and the teams. And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes. I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool – these are the teams that are always there fighting.

“And then you have high-level coaches like [Jose] Mourinho and [Pep] Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work.”

I think having Brazil's current star, and probably a player that will go down in history for Brazil as one it's the best ever will benefit us massively, not just in terms of having a player of Neymars ability playing for us currently, but for future players to want to try emulate him, would mean they'd choose us to try follow in his footsteps.

Think he'd be worth breaking the 100 million mark for.

He says 'Manchester United' and 'Mourinho' first for clubs and managers..
